About this property
Saltwater Stunning Holiday House Milford on Sea Sleeps 6
************* BRAND NEW TO THE 2025 SEASON! *************
Saltwater, in the picturesque village of Milford on Sea, is a gorgeous 3-bedroom holiday home offering deluxe accommodation across three floors for up to six guests, with a beautiful long garden and amazing entertaining spaces to experience.
Milford on Sea is one of Hampshire’s most captivating assets, with an iconic village green in its heart — surrounded by boutique shops, sweet cafés, outstanding restaurants, and cheerful bars. Towards the coast are the shingle beaches of Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea, whilst Lymington and The New Forest are only a few minutes’ drive away.
Saltwater has been recently renovated from top to bottom creating a modern and inviting hideout to really kick-back in style! The ground floor features wide oak floorboards throughout and subtle nods to the property’s nautical name, and flows beautifully through a cosy lounge, extended open kitchen dining area, and onto a substantial deck and garden.
The lounge benefits from a large L-shape sofa overlooking a wood burning stove and Sky Glass smart tv, and is charmingly decorated with stylish pieces, soft lighting, natural material furnishings, and cream tones.
The dining space features an elegant oak shaker set, with chairs for six around an oak table, and sits in the middle of the expansive open plan room.
The kitchen runs along one side and is kitted out with everything you would expect, including a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, double oven with gas hob, ice-maker, and lots of small appliances and cookware.
Opposite the kitchen there’s a welcoming nook overlooking the garden, with a pair of lovely armchairs near a striking sliding Crittall doorway — extending the ground floor flow seamlessly through to the outdoor spaces.
The decking has a table & chair set for five with parasol, and a top of the range Outback hybrid barbecue, perfect for summer dining. A few steps lead up to a sunny lawned garden, with another set of outdoor armchairs that catch the evening sun at the very rear.
The first floor is reached via a steep original staircase that wouldn’t be out of place on a sea-faring vessel! A generous sized full family bathroom at the top of the stairs has a walk-in rainfall shower, a roll top slipper bath, toilet, basin, cabinet storage, and a heated towel rail.
A fabulous superking room, again decorated with lovely off-white and natural tones, features a large bay window, chest of drawers, hanging space, side tables, chair, and a super king size bed.
Down the hall, and overlooking the garden, is a simple and appealing king room, and features wardrobes, a small table & chair (as a vanity area or workspace), side tables, and a kingsize bed upholstered in a warm yellow.
The last bedroom, accessed via another steep staircase to the loft, has a snug feel in the eves of the building, and comprises two side tables, a chest of drawers, armchair, and a kingsize bed — all brought together with smart interior decoration.
There’s also free Wi-Fi throughout Saltwater, a hairdryer, and central heating. Towels, linen, basic cleaning equipment, and some toiletries are included in your stay.
Please note: due to the steep staircases at Saltwater, this property may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, and definitely younger children, please contact us if you have any questions about this, and we’ll be happy to help.
Only one pet can be permitted to stay at Saltwater, and large animals would not be suitable unfortunately. Please contact us before your booking if you’re planning on bringing along a furry friend, thank you.
Parking is limited on the road, but we will provide instructions upon booking. Otherwise there is a car park nearby that offers daily rates.
The barbecue is available to use for any stays, we only require a small fee to cover the cleaning and gas — please contact us if you would like it set-up for your stay.
Neighbourhood
Milford on Sea has a friendly, buzzy feel, with a mixture of locals and holidaymakers walking around the village, enjoying the eateries, shops, and beach walks. You’ll be spoilt for choice for places to eat & drink nearby — with pubs, cafés, tea rooms, and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
For shoppers, the charming coastal Georgian town of Lymington is fantastic for its weekly Saturday market and its many high street shops, supermarkets, and boutiques. It makes for an ideal base for many coastal pursuits, including yachting & sailing facilities, ferries to the Isle of Wight, and maritime historical sites such as Hurst Castle. To the north is The New Forest, with its incredible scenery, quaint villages, and abundant wildlife.
You’ll be right next to West Hampshire’s coastline — a short walk south you’ll find Milford-on-Sea Beach; further east on a thin shingle spit, you can reach Henry VIII’s fortress Hurst Castle; and west leads to Barton-on-Sea.
Further along on the Dorset coastline are Highcliffe, Avon and Mudeford Sandspit, before you reach the ancient market town of Christchurch which sits at the confluence of the rivers Stour and Avon.
