About this property
Waterfall Cottage - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 3
A delightful, traditional cottage, nestled in the charming village of Ingleton, right on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales, this inviting retreat overlooks the River Doe. Perfect for a couple or a small family, the gorgeous, two-bedroom hideaway sleeps three guests and offers comfortable, cosy accommodation for those seeking to discover the immense beauty of the national park. From here, head out to follow the 4.5-mile, circular Ingleton Waterfalls Trail or venture just over 1.5 miles to tour White Scar Cave. Keen walkers will want to reach the summit of Ingleborough, one of the famous Yorkshire Three Peaks for fantastic views. The splendid Ingleborough Estate, with its scenic nature trail, cave and the famous Gaping Gill pothole, is just 4 miles from the cottage. Wander into the village to shop or dine out in one of the friendly local pubs and restaurants. Ingleton’s famous heated outdoor swimming pool, which is open in the warmer season only, is just 120 metres from your holiday cottage.
Take three steps up to enter your riverside retreat and find yourselves in its welcoming lounge. Choose a comfortable seat here then settle back to enjoy the wonderful view. Read your books, play a game together or stream your favourite boxset on the Smart TV. When mealtimes beckon, meander through to the kitchen/diner to prepare the fresh, Yorkshire produce you have sourced on your trips out. Here, you have ample food preparation and storage space. Rustle up tasty meals then call your friends or family members to join you at the table. As each superb day away draws to a close, climb the stairs up to your two inviting, cottage bedrooms comprising a double room looking out over the river and a lovely single. The family bathroom, which features a shower over a bath, is also at this level.
While this Yorkshire cottage has no private outside space, it is just a 50-metre stroll from a shared seating area. This encompasses an area of grass and picnic benches. Parking for the cottage is on the street, also 50 metres away, subject to availability. A public pay car park, with 6 electric charging points, is 300 metres away.
