About this property
Phillishayes Cottage is nestled in the heart of the Blackdown Hills
Nestled in the heart of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape, this idyllic thatched cottage exudes original character and countryside charm. Boasting a cosy sitting room with its crackling wood-burning stove, two comfortable bedrooms and a sunny garden bursting with blooms, where you can watch farm animals quietly graze in the meadow beyond. Phillishayes Cottage is the perfect dog-friendly retreat for families or couples looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.
Step inside this character-filled cottage, where the snug sitting room beckons with its inviting sofas, inglenook fireplace, and a television for cosy evenings in. The warmth of the flames and the quiet beauty of the countryside outside create an atmosphere of true relaxation. Whether you've just returned from a countryside ramble or simply wish to curl up with a good book, this is the perfect place to unwind.
Continue through to the charming kitchen/dining area, where you'll find everything you'll need during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The dining room is just perfect for enjoying delicious meals with loved ones and also benefits from an inglenook fireplace. The family shower room completed the ground floor, featuring a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
Retreat upstairs where two lovely bedrooms await, each designed with relaxation and comfort in mind. Bedroom one boasts a sumptuous 5' king-size bed and has the added convenience of an en-suite bathroom (please note, there is one step down into the bathroom). A narrow set of steps leads you to the lovely twin bedroom. Please note, the first set of stairs are open tread and the second are very narrow, so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Outside, the garden is a true sanctuary, oozing with peace and tranquillity. Lush greenery surrounds the cottage in every season with pretty blooms filling the air with a sweet fragrance in spring. Spend your days reading in the dappled shade beneath the trees, exploring your rural surroundings or enjoying alfresco dining at the charming bistro table. Philishayes Cottage is the ultimate countryside escape, with your only neighbours being the friendly farm animals that graze in the field beyond. It's the perfect place to switch off, relax and recharge.
