Summary:
Nestled in the picturesque village of Marley Hill in the North East, Mount Cottage is perfect for relaxing and enjoying walks from the doorstep, including the Causey Arch Woods. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, local attractions and fascinating world heritage sites, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Ideally located, there is a cafe and picnic area opposite as well as three pubs, all of which offer fantastic dining, just a stroll from the house. Whether you're planning a large family get-together or a getaway with friends, Mount Cottage offers a spacious and comfortable base.

The Space:
Enter through the front door of this impressive property and head down the hallway to find the delightful open-plan kitchen, living and dining room which is the social hub of the house and features underfloor heating and a cosy wood burner.

There is space in the lounge for everyone to relax with three generous, leather sofas and a large Smart TV for family movie nights. The window offers a wonderful view of the front garden and the beautiful local countryside.

The contemporary kitchen has stylish units, a kitchen island, granite work surfaces, and a double Belfast sink, and is well equipped to make tasty meals and drinks.

Enjoy memorable mealtimes and special occasions together at the large dining table. The dining room can also be used as a conference room thanks to the plug sockets and TV provided.

The utility/boot room houses the washing machine, a clothes airer and an additional tall fridge.

The games room has another lovely garden view and is a great space for family fun with a pool table, a Smart TV, a comfortable leather sofa, a bar complete with a fridge, and a wood burner for cooler evenings making this an excellent alternative to the lounge if guests want to spread out.

The ground-floor bathroom has a walk-in shower and WC, and a cupboard in the hallway has space to store your coats and shoes.

Upstairs on the first floor, you will find four well-presented bedrooms, each with plenty of storage space.

Two steps take you to a king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and an ensuite shower and WC.

The large, super-king-size bedroom has a Smart TV and two chairs to sit with a book and admire the garden. This room also has a dressing area and an ensuite bathroom with a large wet-room-style shower, a separate twelve-jet Jacuzzi bath and WC.

The super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as twins on request prior to your stay) has a child's cot and an armchair.

The stunning first-floor family bathroom comprises a luxurious slipper-style bath, a separate walk-in shower and a WC.

On the second floor, the king-size bedroom completes the accommodation, with a comfortable chaise lounge, dual-aspect skylights and a contemporary en-suite with a walk-in shower and WC.

Outside at the rear of the house, there is a delightful, enclosed courtyard-style patio with a raised, covered pond and water feature. There is garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ so you can enjoy alfresco dining and drinks.

At the front, there is a beautiful, terraced garden and a patio area with garden furniture where you can watch the sunsets and take in wonderful views of the local countryside. Listen carefully and you can hear the whistle of the steam train as it passes, and you may catch a glimpse of it through the trees.
