More delightful scenery awaits in the village of Long Melford (5 miles) with the impressive Melford Hall and its 17th-century banquet house, inspiring walled gardens and peaceful parkland. Hikers and fellow lovers of the outdoors should head to the Dedham Vale National Landscape (8 miles) on the Suffolk/Essex border with its stunning walking routes and varied local wildlife.

While private parking is unavailable, on-street parking surrounds the cottage, subject to availability.
