The Villa boasts an inviting sociable open-plan accommodation. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a seating balcony, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. A twin-bedded room and paddle steps lead up to a charming mezzanine with a vaulted ceiling and a single bed. The family bathroom is conveniently located on the first floor. The Country Club has an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and gym which can be used by guests at Bittern Lodge from the spring bank holiday until the end of September. The property contains a good collection of bird books, as well as a book to record bird sightings and some lovely bird-themed artworks.
Delight in the nearby RSPB and North Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserves at Strumpshaw Fen, Hickling Broad and Cley Marshes. The North Norfolk coast is one of the United Kingdom’s most famous locations for birds, having a remarkable range of habitats, from heathland and woods to coastal grazing marsh, reedbeds and open beaches offering unparalleled birdwatching opportunities and scenic walking trails. Two excellent museums, an impressive historic church boasting the tallest tower in Norfolk which can be climbed at certain times of the year, a small children’s fairground and Amazona Zoo. There are plenty of benches to stop at and take in the views, enjoy an ice cream, fish and chips, or perhaps some famous Cromer crab.
