Nestling by the banks of the splendid Bengairn Loch on a 1000 acre working beef and sheep farm and within walking distance of the bonny seaside village of Auchencairn with shop, post office, café, restaurant and beach. The bustling market town of Castle Douglas (Scotland’s Food Town), Dalbeattie and Kirkcudbright (known as the Artists Town) are all within easy reach. Located close to the Solway Firth boasting 200 miles of beautiful coastline, explore Galloway Forest Park, home to the first Dark Sky Park in Europe, and close to some amazing mountain biking tracks including the 7 Stanes. For wildlife and bird enthusiasts enjoy a trip to the RSPB Ken Dee Marshes and explore the red kite trail. Galloway Activity Centre located on banks of Loch Ken offers a great choice of water sports and activities.
Step inside this luxurious, single storey stylish lodge into the hall vestibule perfect place to store your outdoor clothing, through to the spacious open-plan light and bright lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge has lovely comfy sofas, Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and an electric wood burner. Perfect to relax and unwind looking through the floor to ceiling windows with French doors leading out to the enclosed balcony with private hot tub, enjoying magnificent loch views over beautiful Bengairn Loch. The dining area has a large dining table with comfortable seating perfect for romantic or family gatherings and to admire the spectacular loch and countryside views. The bespoke stylish kitchen is the perfect place for cooking up a storm with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, Tassimo coffee machine and a handy dishwasher. There is a delightful twin zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made into a super king-size on request) with access to the patio, beautiful loch and countryside views, Smart TV and a stylish en-suite shower room with WC. Finally completing the accommodation is the beautiful king-size bedroom, also with access to the patio, a Smart TV with wonderful loch and countryside views and stylish en-suite shower room with shower and WC.
Heading outside onto the large patio area you will find the fantastic private hot tub with magnificent loch views over Bengairn Loch. There is also a seating area with comfortable table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. Or relax in front of the roaring fire pit and enjoy the wonderful loch views, perhaps with a wee dram, some good local ale or a nice glass of wine. There is ample private off-road parking next to the lodge, an electric car charging point and secure bike storage is available.

Please note that the minimum stay is 3 nights, and that short breaks are only accepted 1st November to 15th March
