Adorable historic home very cozy

We absolutely loved this property. The house was historic and cozy and adorable filled with beautiful little antiques. The table was set beautifully when we walked in. We loved staying here. The extra bonus was being able to see the horses over our morning coffee.

Peaceful

We spent Thanksgiving in this beautifully restored farm house. Kids had a blast outdoors. While you are in a somewhat secluded area (which we loved), everything is not more than 10-15 mn drive away. Enjoyed our stay and especially the friendly pigs Bentley and Tonka.

A Quite and Cozy Farmhouse

The house is fantastic. It's been lovingly and skillfully renovated. The location was ideal and Stephanie could not have been more delightful to work with. Also, the Pigs really do come up to the house for a morning visit. I highly recommend the Farmhouse for your getaway. - David

Peaceful and serene

Absolutely delightful house. Enjoyed exploring all the antiques while enjoying the modern amenities. Surrounded by woods and fields, enjoyed watching horses being exercised in the morning and feeding carrots to the mini horse and donkey. Completely isolated and quiet, yet 10 minutes away are lots of dining choices and shopping and major highways. My dream weekend would be here during a winter snowstorm!

Horse farm heaven

Beautifully restored 1760 house. Horses, pig, miniature horse and her donkey protector. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved it. Bucolic, peaceful and relaxing.

Beautiful, peaceful, historic!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Terrell House. It is an old historic home with lovely antiques throughout, and it was very comfortable. The owner was very receptive to all our questions. We enjoyed being able to watch the horses and we had a daily morning visit from the very friendly Bentley the pig! The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The area is great for hiking and eating good food! Be aware that you will need to climb a flight of narrow stairs to the bedroom since it was built in the 1700's! Thank you for your hospitality, Stephanie!

Amazing Place

The house was perfect for our stay. We particularly enjoyed meeting one of the pigs, even though he made it difficult to get out the door. WW will be back on our next visit to family in CT

Perfect getaway

While on a jam packed road trip from Kentucky through the northeast, staying on Stephanie's property was just the relaxing retreat we needed. We all enjoyed having Bentley and Tonka visit us each morning and Stephanie was the perfect hostess. If we ever make it back up that way, we'll definitely take some time to unwind here again.

Fabulous host, amazing property!

Wow, wish all hosts were as marvelous and wonderful as Stephanie! The home is just amazing, and we could feel the stress of the week melt away as we settled in to the very warm and welcoming Terrell House. The attention and special touches by the host show a special love of the historic house as well as for the guests that stay there. We were enthralled by the amazing and loving restoration that so artfully highlights the traditional construction and decor, while seamlessly and unobtrusively blends in the modern side of living (kitchen, bath, lighting, A/C upstairs, etc). Add in the spectacular surroundings of Terrell Hill Farms and a quick weekend getaway became something we will all remember and relish! We definitely look forward to returning!

What an unexpected find!

I have lived in Connecticut most of my life and am a frequent traveler. I would not have imagined that this beautiful pedicured horse farm (with very special other farm animals) with spectacular scenery would exist- but even more so immaculately renovated 1700 house that I stayed with -- but with modern conveniences. Every one there was accommodating and friendly, and Stephanie was wonderfully responsive while respecting my space. I hope to go back often and with others. Really amazing.
