We ended up having 5 adults and 4 children in our group. The home was cozy and we had plenty of room. In my opinion the kitchen was the only downside to this property. We were there for Christmas and stayed inside. Could have used bigger variety of cookware and the dishwasher doesn't work.
Rachel was quick to respond to any questions I had and very helpful.
We had 10 adults and it fit our needs well. We hung out one evening and made our dinner there. It was cozy and had what we needed. (Bring your own tinfoil/baggies for leftovers if your going to have them.) I would recommend staying here.
The place is large and well appointed! Beds were comfortable. We had one minor issue and the host took care of it immediately! Would definitely stay here again!
If you need a spot to house many people and be a short uber drive to Xcel arena or downtown St Paul this is the place. Highly recommend Brunson's Pub and Caydence Records and Coffee. If you want to venture a little farther Surly Brewing is a awesome place

loved the placd, great neighborhood
Great bars and restaurants just blocks away, great place!! Rachael was a wonderful host. Well appointed kitchen and fresh linens were great.
Because our group was so large we stayed in both of Rachel's St. Paul's rentals that were just a 3 minutes walk away from each other. There was a school in between both space so which was a great place to hang out during the summer. There was one room upstairs without an AC unit so in the summer it could get a bit stuffy but with the other units running it kept the overall space pretty manageable in the heat of summer. Would stay again.
Expect lots of beds, great communication and a clean apartment. This is a great value for big groups looking for plenty of beds and street parking in a safe neighborhood.
The space was huge and perfectly comfortable for our group of 6! We had the chance to make meals as a group and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Plus the space was so quiet! You know you’re in a multi-unit family because you see the neighbors occasionally outside but it’s silent once you make it inside your space. Be prepared for some stairs though! I knew it was at least one flight of stairs but there is a second full flight to access the second bathroom and the majority of the bedrooms.
Overall a great stay and we are thankful for the space.
It was unclear that it was the upstairs of the house....my 78 year old Mom had a hard time with the 16 wooden narrow steps once a day much less twice. Luckily 1 bedroom was downstairs no pictures show the stairs....the freezer needs defrosting as it leaked water on the floor..and the dishwasher door was broken as when you open it it falls to the floor and hits your feet... everything else was just fine
This neighborhood was awesome, easy access to getting anywhere and location to store items were close. People were friendly. About the property it was very clean and felt "home-like" I definately would stay here again. Plenty of beds and amenities were just like a hotel. The welcome book to tell you about the property was helpful in getting to know the area. Plenty of bedding and tolietries and liked the shower on the first floor. Thank you Rachel.
This was an excellent stay for us. We had enough space to hang out in large and small groups to celebrated graduation. Loved visiting Caydence Coffee and Albums three blocks away.
Really wish the windows all had screens. We could maintain a comfortable temperature but worried about letting bugs or bats in the house.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Location was good
It was nice. The listing could have been a bit more specific about how ac was window units and there was one bedroom without one so it got very warm. And I agree that the windows upstairs are alittle nervous to have little kids around.
We came to the Metro Area to house hunt. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our stay. The listing did not accurately portray the quality/cleanliness of the home nor the location of the space.
The only thing we found to be true to the listing was the number of beds (4 queens and 1 double).
The home was not well-maintained and included: a dishwasher with a broken door that nearly broke my husband’s foot upon opening it, a broken door handle on the upstairs bathroom, sewer gas emitting from the lower level bathroom that required us to keep the door closed at all times due to the smell, and a curtain covering an opening to all the unfinished duct work in the closet of one of the bedrooms.
The bathrooms appeared to have been just “wiped down” versus “deep-cleaned” as one would expect and the couch smelt of vomit. The floors did not appear to have been shampooed in quite sometime and no of us felt comfortable walking barefoot.
Not to mention the location of the space was very unsafe. The home is located a block from Arcade St. which is known for gang activity and high crime (which we did not know about a head of time). No one in our party felt safe to walk the streets alone, even during the day.
For the price of the home ($1300+ for 6 days), we all expected a more clean, unkept home in a safe area.

Not safe for children
I would not recommend anybody with children stay at this property. The windows in the upstairs bedrooms (3rd floor of 3 story building) did not have screens or guards in the windows. The windows literally went all the way to the floor. Any small child could easily crawl or walk right out the windows.
Because there wasn't any duel level thermostat, we had to have windows open the whole night while sleeping (March in MN). This is what drew our attention to the safety issue as we are all mothers.
We could not find the first aid kit (possibly stolen?) from under the kitchen sink and there was not a fire extinguisher, not that we needed one.
There could have been more kitchen supplies (measuring cups, mixing bowls) but that really was not a big deal at all for my group. My main concern is the lack of required safety measures (no fire extinguishers, unguarded windows, first aid kit).
Clean, excellent communication, nicely remodeled, very spacious. We do an annual family trip every year and this is the best one we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend. The only downside is the wifi was sometimes a bit spotty. Kitchen is limited if you plan on prepping food, but it was perfect for us! We will be back!
