Fish from the dock or from the shore. Crappie love our part of the lake! There is almost NO boat or jetski traffic on this large, beautiful lake.
Lake Eufaula (Lake Walter F. George) is located on the Chattahoochee River, 50 miles south of Columbus, Georgia. Covering 45,181 acres, this freshwater reservoir is known as 'Big Bass Capital of the World.' Lake Eufaula offers excellent year-round opportunities for fishing, boating, skiing, and other outdoor recreation.
Bring your family to our lake for skiing & tubing. Fishing off the dock at night builds memories.
Great vacation location. Located on the Georgia side on Pataula Creek. Fishing is fabulous in this area-- crappie is a favorite!
Our quaint little cabin on the lake has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.
The 'open' kitchen has double stainless sink, above the stove microwave, electric oven, custom made heartpine table with plenty of seating, & lots of dishes, pans and utensils.
* White-washed pine floors
* The master bedroom has a queen bed, private bathroom,and TV/DVD.
* The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and day bed.
* The den, kitchen and dining area are all open with a vaulted ceiling. This opens into the heated/air conditioned sunroom which overlooks the lake. In the sunroom you will find an air hockey/mini-pool table, sofas and chairs.
* Ceiling fans in all rooms
* The deck (off the sunroom) has a picnic table where you can watch the sunset as you dine.
* This home is located across the lake from a public boat ramp.
* The private dock is only feet away from the house.
* Boat rentals and a public golf course are also available at George T. Bagby State Park (ten minutes away).
Eufaula, Alabama, and Fort Gaines, Georgia (both 15 minutes away) have beautiful historic homes, restaurants, historical sites, etc.
* Plan for a laid-back vacation - leave your fancy clothes at home. Bring your family to enjoy some 'quality' time together at the lake. Enjoy the sunsets from the dock or deck.
Limit 4 adults since there are 2 queen beds, one day bed in the bedroom and one day bed/sofa in the sunroom or 4 adults and 2 children.

RELAXING VACATION

Great place to stay! House was wonderful, my kids had lots of fun in the game room and fishing off the dock!! The couple next door were great, took right to my kids. They loved their new Aunt and Uncle. If you want a nice quite vacation I would recommend this place. There was everything you could ask for available and things you would not think about needing but did.

Peaceful home on the Lake

We very much enjoyed our time at this cute house. We enjoyed walking out in the dock and just the overall peacefulness of the property. It was super clean and perfect for our family during our trip. We would love to rent it again if we are out in the area in the future!

Quiet Getaway

We were pleased to find the place so peaceful. I was a little nervous with the bridge so close to the cottage. A little traffic but nothing like I expected. We loved waking up and having coffee on the porch, listening to and watching the birds. The screened in area was also glassed in with A/C so during the hot afternoons we weren’t exploring, we could still relax with the water views and wildlife. Perfectly located amongst beautiful state parks and other sites!

Cabin was nice and well cared for with attractive rooms. The 40 ft dock was nice for your boating needs. Did do some night fishing and caught nice catfish. I would definitely rent this place again and I have recommended it to friends!

Peaceful little getaway

Visited here with my parents for a simple weekend getaway. We don’t fish, but we loved the tranquility. Cooked a couple meals here and enjoyed the ample seating for conversations, meals, and games. I only wish that someone was able to circulate some air before we got there to freshen it up, and it is very dark if you arrive after sunset and can’t see where the house is! We had a lantern, tho’. Loved both the open deck and screened-in porch as well, which has a game table! There were little home-y touches and cute photos of the family who obviously enjoys time there, too. It’s a short drive from Eufaula for touring and groceries, and a bait shop is very nearby if you do fish. Plenty of gas stations nearby. Friendly neighbors!

We purchased this little cabin when our children were very young. Fort Gaines is only an hour away from Albany--so that made it very convenient to take our children and their friends to the lake to fish, tube and ski.
