Unwind and relax

Our second stay at the cabin was just as good as the first. Rained a ton both times we were here but we loved hopping from town to town during the day and coming back to a cozy fire. I’m sure we will be here again!

Great time!

We stayed for Labor Day weekend. Cabin is located close to Hershey and Indian Echo Caverns. My son loved the cabin and outdoor activities so much he asked if we could spend one day just there.. we did and had the best time making camp fire, making smores and cooking hot dogs over the fire. He loved the zip line and hiking. Xbox was a hit at night too. We're already thinking of spending a week next summer at this wonderful cabin.

Great Little Cabin

This was a great little cabin to stay in. you can tell it used to be a hunting cabin but the unique way they updated it was really cool. We went to Hershey Park and Indian Echo Caverns from here and it was a real short drive. The only bad part were the Gnats and Mosquitos but they warned us they would be bad in the summer. I would love to go back during the fall for some real nice hiking. Would totally stay again and recommend this for a stay with one or two kids going to Hershey. not a full kitchen to cook but if you are going to barbecue the charcoal grill on the deck was awesome.

Super cute cabin

My children and I had a wonderful stay at this adorable little cabin. Beautiful drive over to Hershey. Loved the peaceful setting! Comfortable beds. Owners very responsive to questions before our arrival, so I assume they would have been very responsive while we were here but we didn’t need anything! We would stay here again for sure.

Great cabin for relaxing family weekend

Wonderful cabin, clean and comfy. Great decor. Weather was stormy for full day and night when we were there but both ac and heat worked great and it's definitely leak and bug proof!! Used charcoal grill and hotplate for all meals with no issues. My boys (12 and 15) loved the property trails, zipline and firepit (and wifi). Large coffee table for multi hour game of Risk:) Bring your own pan if fussy about that but really everything you might need is already there. Great owners and prompt return of deposit. Will definitely visit again, there is so much to do in the area.

Cute cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was great! Loved how it was secluded, but still close enough to everything! Enjoyed the trails. We stayed here while going to Hershey Park and it was perfect!

Just right

Everything about this sweet little cabin was just right. No clutter, but all the essentials. Great place for a fire outside, and so peaceful sitting out there. It has an amazing inside fireplace that would be wonderful in the winter. A lovely place to visit.

Charming Hideaway in the Woods

Despite cloudy and rainy weather, this was a great family getaway. We spent one full day at Hershey and then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying the cabin. Plenty of space for a family of four. Board games and s’mores were perfect by the fireplace. We had a few hours without rain and my son loved the zip line and playing with the walkie-talkies. I would recommend this to anyone hoping to relax and soak up nature.

A weekend in the outdoors

The cabin and property were amazing with excellent proximity to iron valley golf course. We spent most of our time hanging out by the fire pit and ziplining down the side of the hill. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stay here again.

Great local getaway!

We were looking for a weekend getaway from our hectic every day life. We decided on somewhere close to home. Close to Mt Gretna which has the Hideaway for great eats along with plenty of nature walks and tree hugging. Visit the nearby Wolf Sanctuary also if you get a chance. The cabin had great hiking trails of its own. We walked them every day! We saw deer, turkey, and saw plenty of woodpeckers everywhere. Cabin is clean, modern, comfortable, and well maintained. The only downside is the traveling sound of the highway a few miles away which can’t be helped. You are in the woods for sure, but there are other homes close by, so not completely secluded or insanely silent if that is what you are looking for. The cabin is off a well traveled road, which motor cyclers love... so on the warmer days during riding season you might hear more rumbling engines than usual. However, once inside... it’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Slept like a baby!

Cabin

Very comfortable and private. We enjoyed the fireplace and the quiet. We look for places that are off the beaten path and this one meets that criteria. Definitely will return when in the area.

A total hideaway in the woods.

You really CAN get away from it all in this lovely little cabin in the woods. Surrounded by trees, great for hiking, and near to the cute little town of Mount Gretna. The cabin itself is really well designed - it's like hipster hunter chic!

Cozy Gem in Mt. Gretna

Cabin is nicely set back in a wooded area. Plenty of space to hike around, have a fire, and enjoy the outdoors. Inside was a small but well thought out layout with plenty of seating to hang out and relax. Cabin was clean and warm upon arrival. We ended staying for seven days and didn't miss cable or internet as there are plenty of amenities in Gretna. Thank you so much Aaron and Steph! Will definitely stay again!!!

Our family loves to be outdoors. We purchased this cabin from the Witter family that built the cabin by hand in the 1950's. It's a chestnut log cabin with all materials coming from the surrounding forest. They loved it and created many memories here and now our family has continued enjoying this relaxing and peaceful place. As of May 2017 we decided to start sharing this retreat with those who share our love of the outdoors and the simple things in life. So please come and enjoy our cabin and make it your own for your awhile.
