Come stay in the historic downtown district of Metropolis, IL. Home of Superman
After completing a full renovation on the 2nd floor of the Jones Building in 2018, we are excited to offer you four industrial style suites in Metropolis, IL. Constructed in 1908, “The Jones Building” was a former office complex. The old wooden staircase has seen a lot of traffic leading to everything from a dentist office, insurance agency and a three generation law firm. Just to name a few. This space has been revitalized and allowed to thrive again. “The Jones” is ready to welcome you to the home of Superman! Step out of the door and you are already at the giant 15 ft. tall Superman Statue and Super Museum. Within walking distance to all of the downtown shops and restaurants.

Property is just as advertised. Stayed in the Superman room and looked out over the town square and Superman! The owner was very helpful and kind. Would love to come back and do some exploring of the area.
The rental was just as advertised. We were there for 3 nights and were very happy with the accommodations. We didn’t do any cooking just came in late evening and left early morning. We would definitely stay here again.
The space was adorable! Wish we could have stayed more than just one night. Easy to get into, within walking distance of just about everything, and quiet at night. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to a friend.

Trip for Scuba dive certificate
The property and the location were perfect for our trip. We had a little communication lapse from the owner to begin with but once that was straightened out it went perfect. Would recommend this place to anyone going to get your dive certificate at Mermet Springs.

Nice job with the restoration of a rather old property. The updated amenities worked well with the history of the building. Everything was clean and well-maintained.
Had a great stay at the jones building. Our host was easy to contact. We stayed in the justice league apartment. Property was clean, updated and modern. Safe and well lit. Across the street from courthouse and statue. The museum was a walk across the street. Beautiful town and the nicest folks. We will be back!!!!
We had a fabulous time in this hidden gem just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Quilt Week in Paducah. We stayed in this beautiful studio loft just across the square from Superman in Metropolis. We walked to dinner in a great restaurant, Cordavino’s two nights… they serve Gluten Free options which is why I wanted to go. Our Loft owner was great and the four lifts were beautiful! We’re booking again!!!
So much charm for so little $…
Perfect spot for my hubby and I to re-connect for a night away from home. Metropolis is a charming little town and we had fun trying our luck at the casino….
We loved the property! Very unique and a great location. Lots to eat and do within walking distance. Perfect weekend getaway.

Overall good stay
When first arriving, we realized the bed wasnt made so I called the owner (he answered right away) who said he had emailed me (cant really read those while I'm driving) and had switched our room. No big deal. Move rooms. I DID notice we didnt get our free glass as stated in the welcome book he had attached to emails so I emailed him- NO response even up until now. A reply and possibly even an apology in the very least was warranted. The place was overall clean, excpet a hair on the tub and small bugs in the bottom of the tub (which we didnt use BTW, we just needed a place to rest a few hours before heading out of town.) There were no signs of bed bugs and that was our main priority. The bed was way too hard for my liking but my partner didn't mind it. The couch wasn't super cozy but sofas with pull-out beds usually arent. The apartment was in a great location- you could see the statue and museum from our window. There was a donut shop downstairs but they weren't open during our stay. Overall, I love the design of the room and the minimal decor helps it look nice and tidy.
