Wonderful Family Vacation!

Excellent week away in the quiet

This cabin is an outstanding place to stay. We had 3 generarations present and everyone had fun. Grandparents enjoyed sitting on the deck with morning coffee, kids enjoyed the ping pong and darts, we all enjoyed a campfire every night. We saw deer and eagles from the back deck

Beautiful Home on a Beautiful Lake!

My friends and I stayed at Brian and Cullen's cabin for three nights and had a wonderful stay! The cabin is easy to find and conveniently located near the Sand Valley golf complex and was easy to get to from both Minneapolis and Chicago. The house was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of comfortable space for our group of 8 adults and definitely room for a couple more people if needed. We enjoyed grilling on the patio while looking out on the lake, which is beautiful and enormous. We highly recommend the Lake Petenwell area as there is lots of fun stuff to do nearby (golf, boating, bars, beaches, etc.). Definitely check out The Lure Bar & Restaurant.

Peaceful stay

Beautiful home with plenty of room for lounging around. Very accommodating hosts. Plenty of things to do, from kayaking, board games, and a ping pong table that was used a lot! There is even a nice poker table in the loft area for card games. Plenty of countertop space for preparing meals. There are 2 different boat launches 10 minutes away in either direction from the house if you are into fishing or boating. Seen turkeys and deer in the morning while drinking coffee on the deck which overlooks the lake. Just off to the side of the deck was a large area for campfires. Would definitely recommend this place to stay. We are already looking at schedules for next year.

Quiet getaway

This house was perfect for us. Between the ping pong, darts, poker table, and loft area kids from 5-18 were entertained all week. A nice patio with a fire pit brought the family together for some s’mores and bad dad joke telling. (Why did the old guy run into a well? Cause he couldn’t see well.”) boat launch was walking distance where sunset kayak trips were a favorite. The beach being only 3 miles away was an easy drive and you have the beach to yourself on the weekday, and not that busy on the weekend. An Easy 5 star stay!!!!

Labor Day Vacation

Went here for a last minute Labor Day vacation with some friends and kids. The house has a nice layout and great deck. Enjoyed the grilling, sitting my the fire and hanging out with some great views. Would rate a 4.5 overall. The only issue was the kitchen (some of the cooking stuff was dirty) and plates chipped, etc. But we were able to make do. Don't rent if you are thinking this has a lakefront to it. The only access is a short walk away, but still not something you can just jump in and swim at, but we did fish. For a beach you have to head down ten minutes to the Lure Bar & Grill. They have an open beach, with volleyball and picnic tables. We did that every day. Outside of that, great fun had by all. Thank you..

Wonderful for Multi-generation Gathering

The house set-up was great for our 3-generation family gathering. The bedrooms are spacious and with enough separation from the dining/family areas to allow night owls and early birds to co-exist! The owners' description of amenities was accurate. We enjoyed the beach and a pontoon rental at the Lure, hiked Roche-A-Cri State Park trails and relaxed on the patio at the house. The streets around the development are quiet enough that we were very comfortable riding bicycles with our young grandchildren. The ping-pong table was a welcome distraction for some on our one rainy day; while others found a corner to catch up on reading. Meal prep space and equipment was good for our group of nine. This may sound small to some; but, having access to the clean garage was huge for us! We stored our bicycles, pfd's, coolers, and other outdoor gear in the garage with plenty room left for us to leave shoes and rain gear as we came and went.

Property looks like it gets a lot of traffic, which is great; but also could use a deep cleaning on all horizontals. Everyone has a different degree of expectations vs what's being offered I get it. Given that general area around the lake and premium rate, the property condition was average..

Wisconsin Cabin Getaway

It has everything you need for a weekend or long weekend of fun. Golf courses close by, kayaks, bikes, non fire pit, a ginormous nearby Kwik Trip, and, best of all, beautiful views of the lake and woods from the deck and inside in the open concept dining/family room area.

Great home with perfect amenities and location

We had a wonderful experience renting and staying at this home and will be back again. The location is perfect for ice fishing and the amenities have everything that is needed for a friends or family trip. The home is so spacious we didn't use most of the space, would be perfect for a large family gathering.

This was a great place for a family, 10 of us total, to spread out and then gather for fun! Tv's everywhere! Nicely stocked kitchen and great deck and firepit area to enjoy the outdoors! Highly recommend!

My kids have learned to fish, boat, swim, snow ski, and have to come to appreciate the outdoors through our many trips to what has become our home away from home.

Our families have been coming up to the lake for over 10 years now. We have created so many great memories with family and friends, especially enjoying the peaceful and tranquil area and lake. Time seems to slow down, stress is reduced, and we are always able to focus on what is important in life.
