We had a very nice time staying in this property. The hot tub was amazing. Be sure to bring extra towels for the beach and hot tub with you as only two bath towels are provided. You may also want to purchase some extra toilet paper as only two rolls were available for our week. Although the property was fairly cool there was no direct control over the air conditioning but there was a nice fan. This property is in a safe neighborhood but there is no deadbolt on the door, just a door handle lock. We had no hot water in our shower during our week stay. Our host did try to have a plumber come on the last day of our stay but unfortunately the problem wasn't able to be solved before we left. Our host was very kind to us and ultimately we had a great time.
This Vrbo experience was our worst nightmare! We planned to stay 19 days. Brandon the owner noted on Vrbo that parking in his driveway is upon request for a fee, otherwise FREE parking was available on the street. We chose FREE parking on the street. Come to find out he has charged my account $306 for parking which was mostly filled by his car or other tenant’s. I asked him nicely multiple times to give me a refund for the parking, but he would rudely refuse. That eventually forced me to contact my credit company. As far as the stay, the room was also very misrepresented. There was no sink in the kitchen. There were no silverware or dishes despite the Vrbo add. The first day we arrived, we noticed the closest carpet was sopping wet and smelled moldy. Brandon said it was a recurring problem and he thought it was leaking from the top floor. Yet every time he used a wet Vac to correct the issue not the source. So after 3 days they moved us to the next room that actually had a sink in the kitchenette. This room however did not have an internet connection unless you sat right at the wall that connected to the previous room and right by the trash can and the sink. The TV did not get any channels. No hot water flow at the bathroom sink. One of the amenities advertised was washer dryer. However washer/dryer was in Brandon’s house and each time we requested them he said; “they’re not available, go to the LAUNDROMAT”! Brandon was very difficult to work with, and he was not accommodating. He was super rude! His partner DeAnn was nice and helpful but didn’t have much authority. This guy is running 4 Vrbo’s out of one house. They’re “poorly maintained” and “poorly managed”. When talking to other tenants, they also voiced their dissatisfactions! We are surprised this is what Vrbo represents!
This property was located in a safe neighborhood that was great for walking. Del Rey Lagoon Beach Park was just a little less than a 10 minute drive from the studio apartment. About two blocks away was a cute little shopping center with helpful shops for a few groceries, pizza, sandwiches, breakfast meals, postal needs, and etc. It was about a 15 minute drive from Marina del Rey, a very active tourist area.
