This was our second summer renting this cabin. It is in a beautiful location. Very peaceful. The stars at night are amazing! As long as this stays available to rent, we will be back!
House was very nice land was awesome was pretty clean just a little disappointed Ted in the living room furniture was not at all what pictures showed so that was kinda disappointing other than that was a decent weekend stay and will do something like this again for sure but for a longer stay to be able to enjoy more
This is a cute cozy Adirondack cottage. The location is quiet (it was the end of Oct first days of Nov) and private, close to hiking (easy to difficult), swimming (too cold this tie of year), and more. Easy to find. We loved using the woodstove, the beds were comfortable- duvets very fluffy and comfy-cozy-, the bathroom with roomy and the water hot, and the kitchen was outfitted very nicely with dishes and pots and pans, baking requirements. Loved the vintage furniture and rest of hte decor. Over-all with was a wonderful spot for a couple, a family, perhaps with friends or paretns and grown children. Camofire area was great. We had an awesome stay!
This was a blissful, peaceful, comfortable retreat for my spouse and I. The home was well appointed and so welcoming. The view from the front window was extraordinary, with the deeply hued meadow, moonrises, and misty mornings. We are not people who generally like going to the same place twice, but we will return-as often as possible! It was very easy to communicate with Virginia, who was thoughtful and quick in her responses. Thank you, Virginia, for a magical stay!!
I love the mountains away from people and he loves the lake. This was the perfect get away. This cabin is up on a hill secluded from neighbors but just a short drive or even a walk from the lake. Nice hiking places were close too. The cabin was clean andstocked with all cookware. The owner communicated well, gave a nice list of local places to visit, and was easy to reach by phone if needed. We will definitely be booking this cabin again in the future! Five stars!
Perfect cozy cabin to enjoy a winter holiday. The property is a winter wonderland with a couple of beautiful, mellow hikes very near by. This is our second time visiting, having stayed here just before the start of the summer, and I can safely say that it's just as magical in snowy weather. Every window has a different and gorgeous view of the surrounding forest and field.
Internet speed is blazing fast, so easy to stay connected (if that's your thing). Kitchen is clean and stocked with cooking utensils. We made many great meals during our stay and even fired up the grill on a couple of nights. We had a fire in the wood stove almost every night, but would have been plenty warm with the cabin's central heat.
Can't wait to visit again next year!

Hill cottage
We had an interesting experience. We received directions to a different cottage on the same road so there was a a bit of confusion at the beginning. While I am OK with the rustic experience, not all in my family are. That said, we needed to do some reparations to the windows for the insect population to stay outside where they belong. The caulking in the bathtub came loose in the first day, so by the end of the week there was quite a bit of water through the light fixture in the kitchen when the shower was used. Reading through the guest book, apparently this has been a problem for years.
The cottage was well stocked with all dishes and supplies needed. And we had a good time overall.
