Great cottage near old town

Enjoyed a week stay, loved the location and walkability to old town. Owner made sure everything went fine, which it did. House is charming, good for small family, enjoyed sitting on porch. We would stay there again.

Sweet and Charming

This property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and it had everything we needed. It’s walking distance to a great downtown area! So many fantastic places to eat! It’s also within walking distance of the Erie Community Center. Don’t miss the Farmer’s Market on Thursday evenings! Thank you for the hospitality!

Cute home in a GREAT location!

This is a clean and comfortable home located just a couple blocks from all that downtown Erie has to offer! We had an excellent experience with both the owner and property manager. We hope to return on a future visit to Erie.

Great place for two people

This cottage fit the bill for a comfortable pleasant base to explore the Denver-Boulder area. The friend who joined me had never been in Colorado before and loved the presence of both the mountains and the prairie. We hope to return next year and continue to explore from this charming cottage.

Perfect Location

This house was an absolute gem! My friend, and I came to stay for several nights, while we explored the city of Boulder. We were conveniently located near Boulder and many other attractions. My favorite part, however, was the location in downtown Erie. It was a two block walk to wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and an amazing ice cream store. The town of Erie has a wonderful farmers market and vibrant, but closet feel. The restaurants are excellent. Leslie communicated with us the whole time and made sure that everything went OK. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable after a fun day of exploring the Boulder area. I will definitely be back and stay again.

Love Lesley’s Casita

We always love staying in Lesley’s casita! Check in is a breeze and communication with Mark and Susie the property managers, is so easy. The house is so convenient too! We are close to our grandkids and they love to walk with us to the ice cream shop or one of the several restaurants right around the corner from the house. The house is perfect for 2-3 people and is very comfortable.

Great Property - would stay again

Loved the location walking distance to great food, coffee, and awesome ciderhouse. Property met our needs and we found it very comfortable. Check-in and check-out was confusing and info on site was to contact property management that I didn’t have contact info for… but once I got the right info I did have access to property when I arrived so it was all perfectly fine.

Great Location

We were in the area to attend a family wedding north of Erie. Other family resides closer to Denver. Perfect location. Enjoyed the town very much. Great restaurant, a very nice farmers market, and all within walking distance. Th Casita is small, but charming and brimming with history. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Sue and Mark warmly welcomed us and acquainted us with the area. Although we spent most of the time with family, it was nice to get back to the Casita and relax. Very quiet area.

Very good

Charming, but basic small yellow house. Clean, very good beds and comfortable furniture. The house is well located, just two blocks from the main street of Erie. We recommend one, really excellent restaurant, Farm to Table. Leslie and the caretakers were very accommodating and our communications with them were speedy and efficient. There is a small front porch with chairs and a patio with a glass grill. There are supermarkets within a couple miles and easy access to roads.

Couldn't have gone better

This was our first time with VRBO and it couldn’t have gone better. Leslie is a very conscientious host who immediately answered questions since we were new to the neighborhood. The 1886 styled ‘cabin’ was nicely furnished with the basic conveniences of modern living including temp control for Winter and Summer. Comfy beds and nice-to-have closets. We adapted to small bedrooms & bath. Might be problematic if more than three adults for long term. Loved the gas stove used almost daily. Quiet residential neighborhood but easy two block walk to good variety of nice restaurants that are well patronized. The two adult owls that live in nearby trees were an added charm for nature lovers. We as senior citizens would not hesitate to return.

Great historic cottage!

This Erie cottage was just perfect for my husband and I while visiting family. The house is a historic miners house and is quaint and comfortable. The front porch is perfect for sipping coffee in the morning ( the cottage has a keurig and a regular coffeemaker) and wine in the afternoon. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and the den area is very comfy for relaxing. The back yard is huge and fenced. There are several eating establishments within easy walking distance and the area is very safe. The property manager lives next door and was so helpful in every way and the owner was quick to respond to my emails . We adore this charming cottage and plan to return frequently.

Definitely suited our needs

We were visiting family in Erie and wanted to be nearby. Leslie's Casita fit the bill. This is a sweet little cottage with simple amenities. Had to make a trip to Walgren's for shampoo and was really in a pickle with no hair dryer on site. That would be my one suggestion. Airlines are strict with luggage and weight restrictions. It would have been helpful to know something as basic as a hairdryer isn't available. The property manager was sweet and congenial. We were warm and cozy and glad to not to have to drive to one of the bigger towns for a place to stay while visiting our Erie family. What a sweet community.

Charming casita

My husband and I spent a week at Leslie's Casita in January. The fresh coat of snow made the casita seem like a Thomas Kincaid painting. The temps were in the single digits outside yet the casita remained a cozy temperature inside which was amazing considering the age of the structure. We were also surprised at the immediate return of hot water and great water pressure so showers were pleasant. We only used one bed and it was quite comfortable. The bedrooms are snug as one would imagine in a house of this age but the adjoining bedroom closets provides ample space for your luggage etc. The gas stove and oven are new and the kitchen is well stocked which made cooking easy. The full sized washer and dryer and detergents that were supplied made keeping up with laundry a breeze. Any questions we had were addressed promptly by the property managers who live next door. The casita is located in Old Town Erie walking distance from restaurants. We felt safe in the area and did not hesitate to walk around the neighborhood in the evening. Leslie is also very responsive and quite easy to work with to rent the property. The casita is a very good value so I would recommend renting it as soon as one considers it because it is a jewel of a find in Erie where rentals are scarce.

Cozy Cottage

I have been planning my visits around the availability of this charming cottage for 4 years. Close to downtown Erie. It is a really special place to stay without the big price tag in Boulder or Denver. The great horned owl was an added bonus during my stay as well. Thank you for opening up your space and sharing.

Why they chose this property

I purchased the property to enjoy the benefits of bicycling and running on the Front Range and to enjoy the proximity of Boulder!Erie is one of the last quaint little coal mining towns that has been very nicely preserved and carefully introduced to tastefully finished cafes and parks.
