Lake Lure continues to recover from Helene. Moose Tracks is welcoming guests. Although the Chimney Rock Village shops and the Lake Lure lake/beach/waterfront remain closed for recreational use in 2025, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. Chimney Rock State park is projected to open summer 2025. Come to Moose Tracks as a peaceful retreat and “home base” for visiting nearby towns, area restaurants/attractions, in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and Asheville now open. There's golf at Rumbling Bald, and area wineries, breweries, music, hiking trails, waterfalls, locally and within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses on weekends. Rutherfordton, Black Mountain, Saluda, Ashville, Mills River, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Brevard are great day-trip destinations. By visiting, you’re supporting the local businesses of Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Western NC.

Welcome to Moose Tracks, a fun mountain home in the Rumbling Bald gated Community. A spacious outdoor firepit area and large game room make Moose Tracks ideal for family, group gatherings, holidays or weekend getaways any time of year. Professionally managed and cleaned. High Speed Internet/WiFi.

As guests of Moose Tracks you’ll have access to Rumbling Bald amenities. Guest Passes will be ordered in advance for you to pick up at the front desk of the RB Lodge 8:30am-7:30pm. Enjoy the Rumbling Bald amenities such as two championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, restaurants, indoor pool, whirlpool, steam and dry saunas, fitness center, spa/salon, and hiking the year-round. Outdoor pools open Memorial Day through mid-September weather permitting.

GROUND LEVEL: Easy access from parking area (parking for 4 cars). NOTE: the paved driveway up to parking area is steep. Large Game Room w/ Pool Table, Foosball, Air Hockey, 2-Player Basketball Shot Game, Smart TV. Queen Master Suite has private Bath with combination tub/shower. Large Multi-Bed Room: 1 Queen and 4 twin beds A second Full Bath with combination tub/shower is shared by the Multi-Bedroom and Game Room.

UPPER LEVEL: Well-equipped Kitchen, Dining Area: table for 6, Screen Porch off Kitchen: table for 4. Great Room has large Smart TV, Amazon Fire streaming device, Wood Burning Fireplace, Game Table seats 4. Access to main deck with seating, gas grill (propane provided). Laundry area off Kitchen. King Master Suite has private balcony, private bath with tub, walk-in shower. Queen Bedroom. Half Bath.

Moose Tracks supplies a baby gate, highchair and pack-n-play.

Annual remembrance trip

The weather was beautiful, we enjoyed the wildlife We woke up to wild turkeys and hummingbirds and the trip finished with a mother bear and her cub coming up by house and climbing the trees. the house is very quiet, very nice and enjoyable. personally the kitchen does not offer much space on counters for food prep or anything. We happen to use the kitchen more than others who may go out often. we enjoyed our time together in your place. my wife and I would go nearly every year to Rumbling bald. She passed and we continue to go and reflect on our times together as my wife, as the family reflects on their mother , grandmother and sister. Thank you for the stay

Breath of fresh air

The house provided comfortable space & furnishing for our family of 6 adults and 5 children ages 5-12. The children really enjoyed the game room & roasting marshmallows in fihe fire pit area. Outside decks and screened porch added to relaxing atmosphere. The parking area is very steep but doable.

Rumbling Bald vacation

We had a group of 8 adults and 1 child at the rental property and had plenty of room for everyone to eat, sleep, enjoy time together and had plenty of room to enjoy time to ourselves, if desired. The game room was a lot of fun to enjoy time with family members. Plenty of deck space, patio space and the fire pit area was also enjoyed by all of the family members. All of the beds that were used were very comfortable also. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs etc. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a nice variety of different spices. Plenty of games to choose from to help keep everyone entertained. If you get bored staying at this vacation rental, then that’s on you!!

Beautiful location!

There were lots of activities for our family at the house and in the community. The property management company was great. We had everything we needed and their communication was good. However, most of our family did not sleep well during the stay because we found the beds to be uncomfortable. Most were very, very firm. The house was clean overall but there was a little bit of dust in a couple of rooms that bothered some of our group’s sinuses.

The managers were very easy to work with and were very well organized. All needed information was clearly marked and supplied. Many activities including swimming, exercise room, pickle ball and tennis courts, corn hole, basketball hoops were included. Golf and mini golf, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. for a fee were also available -- all about a mile away down the mountain. The "trails" for walking were actually just walks on the roads. We only left the area one time to visit Chimney Rock.

Or group was both adults and teens, so this house was perfect! We used the firepit several times and all of the Resort amenities, which were awesome. The house set up and organization made it easy for our family. Would definitely stay again.

Came to Lake Lure for a family wedding

Moose Tracks was perfect for us. Plenty big enough for 8 people, fun game room, nice fireplace and kitchen. The driveway is a little steep, but hey, you’re visiting the mountains! Loved our stay, and the wedding was perfect too. Definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed the quit at the house and the amenities at Rumbling Bald. We had a bear and her Cubs visit 3 days in a row, all at very different times of day. They messed with the grill on the deck. She did warn us of recent bear activity in the area. We were thrilled to see them up close, behind closed doors. We enjoyed the game room everyday. The only downfalls we’re the very steep driveway (but you are on a mountain) and having to drive the trash to the dumpster which was closed the 1st time and the last time. We had to take the trash back to the house with us and return the next day. The last time we were leaving the resort and told to drop it off at a dumpster down the road which was out of the way. We were packed to go home so had limited space for garbage bags (there was a triathlon at the resort and we didn’t want to fight the closed roads more than once) I would suggest taking your trash to the dumpster during the week and not wait until the weekend.

Everyone gets their wish!

Moose Tracks was the perfect vacation home for our family. Every family member’s wish for this trip was fulfilled - secluded retreat - check! - resort with lots to do - check! - close to attractions for sightseeing - check! - plenty of room for family meals and fun together - check! - private spaces for moments of solitude and quiet - check! The home was clean, well appointed, had plenty of cookware, dishes, etc. We were delighted with all the thoughtful extras, like cozy blankets for cool evenings, board games, pantry items, a book corner and even telescoping marshmallow sticks! The screened porch gave us bug-free game nights while enjoying the mountain atmosphere and we enjoyed the fire pit several nights too. Can’t wait for another vacation at Moose Tracks!

Family summer vacation

4 adults & 5 children (ages 12-21) stayed in this great home. The gaming area was a fantastic place for the kids and it was used extensively. We used the Weber grill twice and the kitchen had everything we needed for multiple meals. Lots of space for us all inside and out. Sofa & loveseat we’re both recliners, plus an additional recliner made for comfortable leisure time watching the TV (which is a little dated, but it was HD). The property managers were fantastic and very accessible. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Place for a Family Vacation

We had a great stay at Moose Tracks and Rumbling Bald. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax—and tons of fun opportunities for both big kids and little kids: from pool and pop-a-shot on the lower level to board games on the screened-in porch. We would go back in a heartbeat!

No reservations about sleeping in the beds etc!Was a great location and wonderful area! Sue was great to work with! It was such a great place we already want to go back!!
