Bear Trap Road is a private, gated community with awesome mountain views. Our house is a seven gable home with an open kitchen, dining, and living room area, three bedrooms, and 2.5 baths. Because our property sits high, there is a steep drop off that is not suitable for young children. If being secluded, but not more than 10 minutes from town is your idea of tranquility, this is the place for you.

Its so nice to go on a vacation and be able to come home to a place that's comfortable and relaxing. The house besides being beautiful comes with a view that you can just look at for hours. The owners Henry and Roberta had everything organized and were very helpful when we called with a couple questions. The Bridgton / Naples area is a great place to visit coupled with this house to stay at means we will definitely be back!
This home was beautiful, with many amenities, to make our vacation very pleasant. The view from the deck was awesome, and we spent our early mornings outside enjoying the view and the birds at the feeder off the deck. I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the firepit!
Although there were a couple of glitches during our stay, our hosts responded timely and were pleasant to work with. If I have an opportunity to travel back to Maine, I would love to stay here again.
We had a wonderful two weeks enjoying our stay at this lovely home in a picturesque setting. Would not hesitate to rent it again. Our hosts, Roberta and Henry, we attentive and responsive to any questions prior to and during our stay.
Henry & Roberta were absolutely wonderful to deal with. Their home is absolutely beautiful. The view off their back deck is amazing. We watched many birds an humming birds. The best was the first night we saw a deer in the clearing below. Absolutely one of our best stays. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

A beautiful home in a glorious, private setting
Bear Trap was everything we hoped for - and more! A lovely and inviting home full of sunshine and beautiful views everywhere you look!! Completely private but right next to hiking trails. We had lots of snow while we were there and loved hitting the trails and enjoying nature. Would imagine that it is a beautiful place to be in the summer months. The house lacks nothing. Everything was top notch and we could not have been more comfortable. Hoping to visit again very soon! Thanks to Henry, who was a very gracious host/owner.

A serious gem in a stunning setting
Beartrap proved to be all that it stated on the website and much more. We arrived to This beautiful home which is clearly much loved and cared for by its owners. Christmas popped up for us as we entered the driveway with welcome lights and slushy snow! The views from this home are spectacular and the tranquil, unspoilt surroundings scream a total R&R vibe with its mountain trails, incredible scenery and outdoor activities. Everything you could want in a home away from home is present in Beartrap. Our hosts were excellent and attentive and any questions or concerns we had were promptly dealt with. We did not want Christmas to end and to have to leave this beautiful, inviting and cosy home. We shall be back!

Beautiful Views!
This truly is a magical place to stay. We were in the area for an annual family reunion and booked the house to have our own place with immediate family. Upon arrival the house was clean and ready for us to relax. Although it was warm when we arrived, we popped on all of the fans and opened the windows. It took a few hours, but the house cooled and once we had an overnight with the windows open, it was very comfortable. The views on this place are incredible, but do take caution, there is a very steep drop off as described, so definitely not a place for young kiddos to play outside. We had a two year old there, but just made sure she did not go outside to play, which didn't matter since we were spending time at another house locally with family. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the pancake griddle (which, now I want my own!) and the pantry was well stocked with items. Town is very close by and it was easy to get around and pop over to the grocery store for other needs. My only regret is not using the soaker tub in the master with an incredible overlook...next time!

Wonderful views.Very private
When we initially arrived, it was quite warm. We contacted the owners on how to turn on the a/c , with a quick response from Henry we were notified of No a/c in the home. At first this concerned us, being from North Carolina. Our concerns were quickly nulled by the wonderful cool breeze the house gets when all the windows and back porch doors were opened. The house itself is well appointed for its size. The kitchen is fully equipped for those, like the six of us, who cooked all our meals during our 5 day stay. Any questions we had were quickly answered by Henry via email. The morning high lights were the chipmunks that played near the back porch.
Henry and Roberta were great host setting up seating for six around the camp fire and leaving us smores fixings.( which we were able to enjoy our last night - after the wind died down) In all we enjoyed The Bear Trap and all it had to offer.

Magical is right!
We came to Bridgton for a friend's wedding and were looking for the perfect place to double as a Memorial Day getaway. We coudn't have been more happy with Bear Trap. It is a BEAUTIFUL home with stunning views that will leave you conflicted on whether you want to spend your time inside the cozy yet sophisticated home, on the panoramic deck or around the fire pit. Roberta was extremely communicative and kind. These owners and this home are those dream scenarios that you hope to stumble upon when booking a home away.
