Lovely quiet getaway

Lovely place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent - it's a 10-minute walk to Tenby, but you're tucked away in a quiet area with lots of privacy. The nearby beaches are beautiful.

Nice little place in a great location

Really enjoyed the stay here and it was everything we needed. Great location for walking into Tenby and along the coast (quite hilly so good exercise). The house could do with a little maintenance and tlc in some places but it was clean and tidy and practical. Nice garden space and good parking. Would stay again here.

Ten out of ten

Fantastic location at the top of a short uphill walk from North Bay. Quiet and private...despite being next to a campsite. Lovely evenings watching the sun set in the garden. Everything you need in the property. Perfect base for exploring Pembrokshire coast. Would absolutely recommend and ...if not for a 10hr drive from up North...would stay again.definitely stay again.

Tenby

The house was in a very quiet location at the top of a hill and only a 10 to 15 minute walk in to Tenby. The house was clean and well appointed and nice to stay in. Tenby is very nice and the beaches are clean and family friendly I would recommend this house to family and friends.

Lovely getaway

We had a lovely New Year break at this characterful property. It was a good walking distance from Tenby - which is full of beautiful food and shops—easy parking for two cars, tight for 3. A lot of good beaches closeby. We took full advantage of the coastal pathway too, as the route goes past the bungalow. The only downside of the property was the musty smell of the second bedroom, which was strongest around the wardrobe. We opened up the window, but this did nothing to diminish the smell. Also, the garden has a ' waterway gulley' (depth underneath the holes between 1-15m) that has a frail and mossy wooden structure on top that has holes that might be dangerous for any young people or animals.

Lovely week

We had a lovely stay at The Barn. It’s in an amazing location and the pictures accurately describe the property. Really comfy beds and lovely garden. Only a short walk to beach and Tenby which was great. Our only comments would be that there was a lot of dog hair on the bathroom floor and dirty paw marks on the glass door when we arrived. Also there was no coffee machine as advertised and we could have done with more forks. Can we also suggest to pad the dining chairs as they really screech on the stone floor. But these are little things and we had a really lovely week with amazing weather!.

Lovely short break

A Lovely cleaned and cozy house where we found all we needed for our stay, super soft beds, extra bath towels, nice garden with amazing views, and at a nice walking distance to the beautiful Tenby beaches. So, it is a 5 star from us. Thank you, Emma and Mat, for let us stay. Paula, Bernie, Ines, Matilde and our 4 paws Baghera.

All we needed for a week away.

We enjoyed the location of the property. Not too far from the beach and town but in a quiet location. The accommodation was perfect for four adults and a child and was very clean on arrival. Tenby itself is a lovely town to visit with plenty of things to do when you can tear yourself away from the beach.

Hidden Gem

It was exciting to arrive at The Barn, only a short walk from the centre of Tenby - we are a family of 4, including two teenagers of 16 & 18. We were surprised at how spacial it is, three decent sized bedrooms & a very bright open plan kitchen / lounge area with wood burner. We didn't cook much but it seemed to have every appliance you would require. Comfortable beds & fresh bed linen, soft towels. Fortunately due to good weather, we were able to use the outdoor area for bbq & lots of card games! Easy walk to the North Beach which was great for swimming/ snorkeling & paddle boarding, only a few further minutes walk to South Beach, both beaches were extremely clean, beautiful water. The Barn is up a small hill which wasn't an issue for us.We visited 13 July for 5 nights, due to easing of lockdown, all shops were open with expected social distancing. Some cafe/ bars were serving meals at tables outside until 6pm, lots of places offering take away food until 8-9pm. This is due to alter within a couple of weeks with longer opening hours & more restaurants due to open. We would highly recommend The Barn, loved Tenby and will definitely return. Emma helpfully responded to all communication within a short time.

Fabulous accommodation

We have stayed in many properties in the area over the years but this one is our definite favourite. It is very well equipped, stylish & comfortable with plenty of space inside & out. It’s location is both quiet & just on the edge of town, close to shops, beaches & everything you could ever want. The enclosed garden is safe for children & pets alike so a real holiday for everyone. The parking spaces are a big bonus too, never having to worry about where to put the car after days out. Everything we wanted was provided in this stunning accommodation & we would definitely look to return here

Disappointing and disgusted

Well located and garden for the dog. Property Very tired in need of refresh. Carpets dirty. Pillows flat. Had to contact the owner as rubbish exposing dirty nappies was left out for 2 days. Owner came but left the rubbish in a bin with no lid so flies n stench outside my bedroom window. On last day I stripped the bed to find the duvet had a urine stain which is what I’d been smelling. Coujdnt reach coffee maker. Cobwebs down the wall. Lamps dusty never been cleaned. I sent photos to the owner and have an email to acknowledge the issues but they h ave refused to recompense us .. on this basis I would not recommend this property to anyone. Disgraceful.

Lovely "shabby chic" cottage on a hill

We really enjoyed our stay at The Barn, it's a lovely cottage with plenty of room and only 10 minutes from the beach and town (albeit downhill and uphill!). The weather was glorious and the thick stone walls and slate flooring kept the house cool; it was lovely. The one downside was the fact that the reception for the camp site was at the bottom of the road past the Barn - everyone had to pass the Barn (down and back) in order to register there, making the garden not very private to sit in. Unfortunately, most campers thought the Barn itself was the reception and they would stop their vehicle at the side of the house to look over the fence to ask, or some people even came into the garden and up to the door to enquire. Better signs are needed, making it clear which house is the reception - although that would not stop the constant traffic... Still, a great holiday was had by all.

Excellent holiday cottage conveniently located

We (2 adults, 2 kids 11 and 12 plus dog) had a fantastic stay at this cottage. It is right on the coastal path, 10 mins walk to Tenby North beach (great family beach, but no dogs). We walked into Tenby and back each evening for dinner and had some great meals. The cottage is a good size and nicely decorated. Beds very comfy. We only ate breakfast here so can't comment on kitchen equipment. We used the hot tub most days. You had to plan ahead as it took 3 hours ish to heat up. Pictures on the website are accurate and owner responded quickly to my emails. Only minor niggles - one of the toilet seats was broken and there were very few glasses, although lots of wine glasses! We would definitely recommend.

Welcoming, peaceful retreat in stunning convenient

The Barn is a wonderful place to stay, it offers a beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped and relaxing living environment as well as an extremely attractive and peaceful setting very close to Tenby town. The owners were extremely helpful and quick to respondwhen we contacted them about extra towels and have made every effort to make the cottage a lovely place to stay. The parking and proximity to Tenby is a rare and valuable bonus as the town is lovely but busy. At the barn you can have the best of both worlds as truly fantastic walks as well as easy access to shops and restaurants are readily available. We would heartily recommend this property to anyone without hesitation and very much hope to return some time in the future.

Half term happiness

A wonderful clean , spacious modern cottage, tucked away but with easy access to the north beach and Tenby town. Spotless ,well equipped and comfy beds.. Contacted owner in our return as we had managed to leave something and she offered to post back to us straight away. Plenty of cafes and restaurants, further afield Saundersfoot is a pretty little bay to visit. Lots in the area for children to explore. Would love to return in the summer months.

Awesome Fantastic Beautiful Ideal!

We've been to Tenby for the last three years, usually staying in apartments near the beaches. We wanted a bit more space this year and The Barn seemed ideal. On arrival, we were gobsmacked by the beauty of the place. It's up a hill from the town, but only half a mile from the shops (easy on the way down!). There is parking and a lovely enclosed garden which was ideal for our dog (we could let him out the door without worrying he would run off). The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is well equipped with everything you could need (including a DVD/Bluray player!). The slate floor is heated which makes the place warm and cozy (we didn't need to use the woodburner). Three lovely bedrooms ideal for us and the three kids. The main bathroom is nice and airy and well equipped and there is a separate cloakroom and loo (again ideal when you have more than one child!). The owners have also put in an "eco" hot tub in the garden, and there is a small shed with BBQ, chair cushions etc. The Barn is far enough outside of town for it to be so peaceful. Sitting outside in the evening, watching the sun go down is just fantastic. And once the woodburner heats the hot tub (it did take a good 3-4 hours!) it's just lovely to sit in there listening to the owls hoot. The Pembrokeshire coastal path is just to the side of the property, and would recommend a walk across to Waterwynch beach - a very secluded beach with a private house on it, but at low tide lots of rocks to climb, caves to explore etc (and the house is nearly £6000 for a weekend stay!). Tenby is a really beautiful place - fantastic beaches (our favourite is South Beach - dog friendly, and small car park right on the beach). Plenty of little bistros, cafes and restaurants in the town. We always visit Folly Farm too - not sure if this place is an amusement park, farm or zoo - probably all three, but the kids loved it. All in all, a really lovely place to stay, well equipped, clean, quiet and in an ideal location. Thanks Emma - we may well be back!
