This apartment, built in 1864, is located in the very heart of Ghent: the Ajuinlei, the street with Parisian allure, close to all the most beautiful spots in Ghent. You can expect incredible views from the terrace over the Lys canal.
The place is 75m² and although in the very center of Ghent, it is amazingly quiet. Large Hot Tub/Jacuzzi for 2 in the bathroom.

The apartment has a beautiful hard wooden floor, very high ceilings, kitchen with a lot of equipment and dishwasher, very large bedroom, and a bathroom with a Whirlpool bad. On the terrace you will find place for up to 4 persons. Feel free to water the many herbs and flowers. Views from the terrace and windows in the living room: - The tower of the Belfry with the golden dragon - The tower of the St Baafs cathedral - The old courthouse - The bridge next to the Graslei - 180° view on the canal with the old boats. You can see for more than 300 meters -All modern amenities: Apple TV 4 with Netflix, Chromecast to connect your smartphone or laptop with the TV, Bose speakers, Nespresso machine, regular coffee machine, water boiler, blender, Nest heating, comfortable pillows with 'memory foam' and top matras for extra comfort. It has a nice wooden desk, and very good WIFI connectivity.
The apartment is very unique because it is one of the very very few which has a large balcony with a stunning view on the canal. I looked around and I could only find 5 or 6 in the city center with a balcony where you could put a table. In the street you can find many good and affordable restaurants. I will send you a list of my preferred places.
The apartment is very accessible by tram line 1 or 21. Get off at Kouter and walk towards the river. Turn right after you crossed the Koophandelsplein and bridge. If you come by car, there are underground parking places in Kouter or Sint Michiels. On Sunday you can park free of charge above ground. There are free parking spots out of the city center, close to Flanders Expo. From there you can take the tram. Note that it might be much cheaper to buy a 10-ride card (14€) than a 60 minute tram ticket (3€).
There is a flower market with orchestra on the square Kouter on Sundays (250m walk). At only 300 meters and you arrive at the most magnificient place in Ghent: the Graslei and Korenlei. You are situated in the center center and you can do everything by foot. All nice restaurants are on a walking distance and the tram line has a stop in the main shopping street, Veldstraat, which is a 100 meter walk. This tram will swiftly bring you to the train station and you'll be in Bruges, Antwerp, or Brussels in no time.
