Great place!!

The place was very comfortable and it had everything we needed. The location was perfect for the beach and the pub. Our hosts, Paula and Chris were superb. We bought milk, eggs and yoghurt from them, which were fresh and delicious. I strongly recommend this place.

Vacation at one of the most beautiful coastlines

We visited Treen Farm with our three kids in August 2024 and had a beautiful stay. Paula made us feel super welcome and provided tips, milk, eggs and ice cream fresh from the cows. The farm is beautifully located just about 500m from the cliff and coastal pathway with good access to beautiful beaches. You can also enjoy the mood at Logan Rock which is totally underrated... Where else can you watch the sun setting behind auch a coastline and sit almost alone. The barn is nicely converted to a guesthouse with two bedrooms & bathrooms, a combined kitchen, eating and living area. The kitchen is fully equipped! Please note: this is a real farm, so you will encounter some flys and the chicken also leave something behind, this is part of the farm vacation experience. We can only recommend it! The f

Lovely week at The Shippen

Excellent accommodation in a small village within a short walk to the coast, and a good pub just across the road. Ideal location for walks from the house, and only a few miles drive to Penzance, Land's End, etc. Very friendly, helpful hosts (thanks Paula!), and the property had everything we needed, and was warm, comfortable, quiet, etc. Would definitely stay there again, and it's a great area for coastal walks and general outdoor activities.

A Delightful Quirky Gem On A Working Farm

Had a wonderful opportunity to rent The Shippen (Cow Shed) for the continuation of the South West Coast Path. (Close by) The proprietor Paula, on hand to welcome our arrival, to a perfect 1st class accomadation and first impressions that with leave a smile on your face, tastefully converted, furnishing with everything that is required for a comfortable day and night stay away. Off road parking, with a local pub serving the finest of ales, wines and the quality of meals you would expect. Very highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the farm. Across the road from the pub (no noise or anything - just very convenient!) Tea and cake to welcome us and milk and eggs in the fridge - we would certainly book again.

Lovely holiday home in a wonderful landscape

We've had a great time on Treen Farm. The shippen is really nice and was perfect for our two daughters, my wife and me. Two seperate bedrooms, each with an bathroom on each hand of the house and in the middle a combined kitchen and living room. The Shippen is well equipped and cozy. We enjouyed our two weeks stay, especially the terrace for breakfast with home-grown milk and eggs or to relax after a long day of discovering the cornish landscape. Mr and Mrs Hall had been very nice and friendly. They answered every question patiently, helped us with any probem and gave us many tips for our holidays, we are still grateful. The landscape itself was wonderful. Walks along the South West Coastpath, nice beaches and lovely coves, the cliffs and the ocean, so many lovely villages to visit, Land's End, Lizard Point, St. Michael's Mount, Falmouth and the ferry to St. Mawes with a stop in Penny comes quick, a really nice pub with a great crew and good meals, Bedruthan steps,... there is so much to enjoy, relax and discover.

Lovely location and well equipped cottage with everything we needed.

Well looked after property and the owner was lovely and always on hand if we needed anything. Great location for walking and a lovely pub in the village. Surrounded by the cows and chickens on working farm and lots of attention from gorgeous working dog. Basically we absolutely loved this place.

We stayed in The Shippen with our 3 grown-up children and we all loved the property and the location. Very comfortable, immaculately clean, very well equipped and Paula was very welcoming. Fresh produce readily available. Lots to see within easy reach, Lands End, Minack Theatre, St Ives, great beaches and cliff walks. Excellent food at nearby pub. Beautiful and clean cottage and very nice landlady/landlord

We have been in Treen two years ago and were therefore familiar with this tiny and quiet village. There is a sandy beach in a walking distance, the Logan Rock Inn a nice pub serving good food, and last but not least the Treen Café where you can get fresh bread, jam, marmalade, and small snacks. The surrounding countryside is perfect for taking walks. The Cottage is well furnished, entirely equipped and very clean. We were welcomed by Paula, the landlady although it was almost 11pm when we arrived. There were some cake in the kitchen and fresh eggs in the fridge from domestic production. Paula allows us to move the furnishings as we like; of course we had to rearrange it before departure. Chris, the landlord has shown all of us but especially our fourteen years old daughter the farm, explained what his work is and what he and Paula are doing with the cows, the calfs, and chicken. Our daughter was welcomed to visit the animals at any time. Besides the livestock there are four wild ponies close to the Cottage which are in Paula's and Chris' care. During our two weeks stay we went for walks, went swimming and made some excursions to the surrounding towns and villages where you can find signs of historical events, lots of art galleries, excellent ice cream, beaches and very nice people. By and large our holidays were really relaxing and exciting. We can recommend this Cottage without any reservation! PS: I am from Germany and therefore not native. I apologize for any mistakes regarding grammar and punctuation. Enjoy your next holiday.

Perfect cottage

The Shippen is absolutely perfect. Paula and Chris have provided everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Beautiful location, fresh eggs every day, loved the bathrooms with underfloor heating and the log burner which kept it cosy. Loved waking up to see the chickens and cows. Having The Logan Rock pub on your doorstep is a bonus with friendly staff and amazing food. Highly recommend both! Hope we get to return to The Shippen sometime.

Super Barn in the heart of Treen

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this lovely working farm. The Barn was very comfortable and extremely well equipped, converted to a high standard. The owners are very welcoming and keen to ensure all is provided for. The pub over the road is great and the walks along the cliffs are stunning. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in a lovely part of Cornwall.

Lovely Character Accommodation.

Our stay over Christmas was made even more special by the effort the owners had made with flowers, fruit , fresh farm eggs and milk and even mince pies after our long journey. The accommodation is always immaculately clean and the facilities are perfect for self catering. Especially welcoming was the Log burner which was supplied with ample amounts of fuel. Very relaxing and cosy after a day out in the fresh air. The bathrooms are provided with lots of fluffy towels (great if the weather catches you out ) and both have under floor heating which is a real treat in Winter. There is an additional area outside the property which can be used for eating out or just relaxing watching the chickens. It is a working farm so ideal if you have a love of animals. If you are lucky during your stay it is especially lovely to see new born calves and baby chicks. The accommodation has private parking outside so it is ideal if you have lots of luggage, beach equipment etc. The location is perfect at anytime of year if you love the sense of open space, with beautiful cliffs and beaches very close by . The coastal path is great for walking and now has the added attraction of Dartmoor ponies who's grazing is helping to manage the scrubland areas.
