Enjoyable stay

Great location in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located between BV and Salida. Easy access to all the fun, but a nice distance away from a lot of the tourist traffic. Host is great - very helpful and responsive.

Great Getaway in Nathrop!

The home is amazing. Plenty of space to spread out within the home and on the two connected decks. Also, more than enough space to come together as a large group. The home had more than enough items (entertainment, kitchen supplies, linens, etc.) than we needed for our stay. The home is very clean & well maintained. The home is in a quiet & secluded wooded area and is approximately 20 minutes away from both Buena Vista & Salida. Great location to visit either town while also being able to stargaze in the evening. We found the home to be an ideal stay for three couples or a family group of 6. We look forward to our next visit!

A Beautiful Get Away for a Family Vacation.

We were looking for some place to gather for a quiet family gathering that wasn't too far from towns and close to hiking and other outdoor recreations. This was perfect! The views were beautiful! We brought two dogs and they used both of the dog runs joyfully. The standout things were: Fully stocked pantry with some condiments in the fridge. EVERYTHING in the cabinets had a picture to help put things away! The outside decks were a wonderful addition that we used for dining and having our coffee in the morning. Numerous games were available to play. Music was available to play. Maps of various kinds and a book of information was also available. This house was a home...like visiting family. It was so thoughtfully set up, and Dave kept in touch with us by text which was really helpful. We had a glorious time!

What a gem!

The home was very clean, well-maintained and had all the amenities that we needed for the kitchen. It’s tucked away from the main road, which made for a very private deck and property. It’s a quick drive to the hot springs and about 20 minutes from BV. Super comfortable beds! The property manager was fantastic - he made sure we arrived safely and that we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Your Property Manager Dave Kuker and his wife have been visiting the Salida/Buena Vista area since 1976 and bought a second home here in 2000 and retired in 2010. They live in the same neighborhood just down creek from this beautiful rental property - so they are close by to help out with any issues and also answer any questions about the home. They are happy to make recommendations for local activities and are convinced there is no better place to live - the towering snow-capped Collegiate Peaks, tons of sunshine with Colorado blue skies, endless hiking trails, skiing, biking, river-rafting, fishing - this area has it ALL...!!!

Why they chose this property

The light-filled living area with soaring ceilings is very open and welcoming. The house is wrapped with outdoor decks for relaxing and enjoyinng mountain views. Enjoy the sounds of birds, wildlife, and the year-round flow of water in Browns Creek. The view is spectacular year-round but the promise of fall foliage will take your breath away.

What makes this property unique

With one of the biggest lots in Mesa Antero neighborhood, you will enjoy the peace and solitude of a house that sits at the end of a long, private driveway. Drive through the peaceful pine forest to find an oasis in the woods and breath in the fresh mountain air.
