We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Swallow's Nest and look forward to returning! This property is perfect for families with small children. The Lincoln Logs in the twin bedroom were a huge hit! The views were gorgeous, everything was clean, and having laundry in-house was convenient. About 20-25 minutes from anything you want to do: Rock City, Ruby Falls, Children's Museum, Aquarium, etc. Only suggestions would be new pans in the kitchen and maybe a grill. :)
Overall the property was clean and a good place to stay. The location is quiet and private. The location is close to Fort Oglethorpe for restaurants, food shopping, gas and anything else needed. The rental manager responded quickly to all messages. The only downside was that the microwave and oven were not cleaned when we arrived. A wet dishrag quickly removed the grime and crumbs. This may well have been a one time fault of the maid service since the remainder of the property was spotless. We would stay there again.
Great house with easy check-in! Clean and Comfortable with everything we needed. A couple of things to note: there is a house extremely close to the back of the house. We originally thought it might be a small shop when we saw a car leaving upon our arrival. I'm not sure if anyone was even there while we were. It was very close and we were not expecting it, but it did not interfere with our activities. Also, the "coffee pot" is actually a Keurig. Overall, a great house with great views and perfect for our family vacation.
It was a nice place. Google maps took me right to it.
The owner was very quick to respond to my questions and very helpful. The house was big enough for 5 adults and 2 kids to move around freely and not be cramped. I'd rent it again.
This was a lovely property. The owner was very nice and answered all my questions timely.
If we find ourselves in the area again, I would return to this home if Available.
We loved our family trip to Chattanooga. This house was a great rural location...quiet, yet close to Rock City, Ruby Falls and downtown. Having 4 bedrooms allowed everyone to have their own space. The covered carport was perfect for us to set up chairs and watch the kids as they played in the small pool we brought.
‘‘Twas the weekend of the marriage and all through the house, everyone was comfortable, even my nephew crawling on the floor just like a mouse.
We had an amazing incredible amazing time! That’s right I said amazing twice; we loved the house and it worked with everyone we had there for the wedding. Pros: great location, great view; all amenities; convenient entry; cleanliness; communication; rules and regs on the fridge.
Cons: there is a second house right beside the house (it’s only a few feet next door literally) and there is no warning or mention of it, so you might show up and try unlocking it believing it’s another part of the first house; the photos are kinda deceiving because you don’t see the second house and the yard isn’t at the same standards as they are in the pictures but that might be because it’s winter *shrugs*; the day bed they threw into the laundry room is squeaky and weird because it’s a bed... in the laundry room.... also there aren’t enough curtains or shades, during the day you’ll love the natural light and the view, but during the night you just wanna close off the world and watch Netflix and chill
Stayed here the first week of July, the house was very clean and homey feeling. The veiws of the mountains are gorgeous from the property and all attractions for lookut mountain and downtown Chattanooga are just a short drive away. We really enjoyed are stay here and owner is excellent to work with if you need to get in touch with him. Thanks again for letting us stay in your home Mark. Will definitely recommend this place

The “Extra Touches” made it!
The view is lovely! The house is charming & finished with farmhouse decor. The owners include many extras they don’t advertise, like plush white towels, good mattresses, a Keurig coffee machine, Cuisinart knives, a pack n’ play & strap on high chair, baskets with children’s toys & books, a courtyard, & a large lawn to play on. The home is next to another house, which we didn’t expect, but the owners plan to make that an additional vacation rental soon. The owner was helpful, kind & open to ideas. It was a good, family friendly place to stay.

Very clean, easy to get to all local attractions!
This house is extremely clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook, and have a comfortable place to stay. Everything appeared to be new or very well kept. The master bedroom had it’s own private bath. The other two rooms shared a bath in the hall. These bathrooms were super clean and new looking. We enjoyed the fire pit and roasted hotdogs and s’mores. We came to see the Rock City Christmas lights, and these were great, and only 15 minutes away. Love this house!

FALL TRIP WITH MY FAMILY
IT WAS GREAT, WE COOKED EACH MEAL EVERY THING WAS THERE WE NEEDED TO COOK WITH. THE HOUSE HAD LOTS OF ROOM FOR EACH OF US TO HAVE ROOM TO OUR SELF. WE TRAVEL ALL DAY SATURDAY AND SAW THE SITE IN THE AREA, IT WAS CLOSE ENOUGHT THAT WE COULD COME BACK FOR LUNCH THEN RETURN ON OUR ADVANCE. WE ENJOY DOING THING OUT SIDE WE JUST WISHED WE NEW MORE OF THE AREA BY THE TIME IT WAS TIME TO GO WE WERE JUST GETTING USE TO THE ROAD AND DIFFERENTS PARTS OF THE TOWN. WE WENT TO ROCK CITY (LOVED IT), CREATIVE DISCOVERY CENTER (IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY WE DO NOT SUGGEST ANY ON TO GO THERE). ROCK CITY CORN MAZE/PUMPKIN FEAST (KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME), THE POINT VIEW (THIS WAS OUR FAVORITE WE COULD HAD STAYED THERE ALL DAY/ WHICH WAS OUR LAST STOP BY THEN IT WAS GETTING COLD AND DARK,, LOL) THE SWALLOWS NEST WAS NICE AND CLEAN. JUST WISHED WE HAD A TV IN THE MASTER BED ROOM SO MOTHER AND DADDY COULD HAVE WATCHED A SHOW THEY LIKED. ARE TASTE OF MOVIES AT NIGHT WAS DIFFERENT THAN THEIRS OR WE SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT SOME CARDS OR GAMES TO PLAY AT NIGHT. BUT WE WILL LEARN FOR OUR NEXT TRIP TO COME WHAT WE CAN IMPROVE ON AS A FAMILY. IT WAS QUIET AND PEACEFULL JUST WHAT WE WANTED BY OUR SELF. SUNDAY KIDS LOVED RUNNING AROUND IN THE YARD BEFORE WE LEFT. THANKS A LOT FOR A GOOD TRIP WE WILL RETURN AGAIN AND REMEND OTHER TO THIS SITE ALSO.
