The house was very large and spacious. We especially loved the proximity to the beach and to the sea pines resort which serves excellent food and drinks. The property is essentially neighbors with the sea pines resort on the beach which makes for an easy walk. Overall very satisfied with our stay here.
We rented this for a friends trip and it turned out great. The property location was nicer than expected. You are about 20 feet from a concrete walkway straight to the beach. All the rooms were nice and everything was clean. We would stay again.
Great location but very dated property that needs updating and renovation. Overall cleanliness of pool/pool area, back patio and several indoor areas could use some attention. Electronic front door lock was broken prior to our arrival, we were given a single key to access the home. When I communicated with the rental company if it would be fixed during our stay we never received a response back.
We rented this house for our annual golf trip. It served as a great home in a great location. The check in and check out process were also very easy, and the property owners were responsive. The pool was extremely warm so it was only able to be utilized in the evening and the beds were a tight fit for 14. Nonetheless we did enjoy the house and would stay there again.
Everything we needed for a family reunion. Plenty of space. Pool. Outdoor grill. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Within walking distance to beach. We will be back.
We rented this house for our annual staff retreat because we needed a space large enough for 14 people near the beach. We host our staff and their small children each year, and this house was perfect for us. The bedrooms were spacious, all the amenities listed were accurate, and the beach was just a short walk down a beautiful path. The weather was in the 70s so we enjoyed the ocean, and the kids swam in the pool. Sea Pines is beautiful, and the house was great. We had no issues at all.
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The layout has 2 rooms on one side, with the other three on the other side making it easy for our family of 11 to stay in the house without being on top of each other.
Also there are 3 living room areas making it easy for some people to do a puzzle, others to watch tv and still a third group to play or relax. We took advantage of this as well for people to take meetings while on vacation without having to be in their bedrooms or leave the property.
Of course being close to SeaPines Beach Club, walking distance to the beach and having the pool all made this a great location.
Finally, the management company did a great job making it easy for us to get in and out of the house and ensuring the home was ready for when we arrived.
We had a wonderful time this week. However, I will say that for the amount of money we spent for this property it would have been nice to have bikes available. Furthermore, I am not impressed with the shower situation what so ever. The water pressure was so low.
The property is spacious and convenient in Sea Pines. . The kitchen was a little worn (broken faucet and refrigerator drawer) and missing essentials like a cutting board and a spatula. The pool was refreshing albeit small and a mosquito magnet. The signage keeping people from using the driveway to access the beach path was hidden so we never felt comfortable leaving anything at all outside because of all the traffic. A gate or fence might help with privacy especially on such an expensive rental. . Despite these issues, it was a good space for our needs for the week.
Without so much as a privacy lock on the front door, this property is one to avoid if you have small children. There is no way to secure the pool, no way to secure the front door, no gates for stairs. People will regularly walk right through the driveway even though it marked private driveway...

Great location, pool problems
We weren’t able to use the pool or spa for the first 3 days because of a problem with the pool heating system. Both pool and spa were being heated to around 100 degrees, which was ok for the spa but it meant the kids couldn’t use the pool for almost half of our trip. Which was a very poor experience.
We rented this house because it had a pool, and we were unable to use it for 3 of our 7 days.
I always had to leave a voicemail for the property manager, which just meant every interaction took several hours or more, and the pool company apparently was delayed as well.
There was a problem with the control interface being disconnected.
When they finally turned off the heater to the pool, the spa stopped heating as well. So then we had use of the pool, but not the spa. By day 5 all the kinks were finally worked out and it functioned properly with the spa heated and the pool not heated. But it was a very poor experience with the pool/spa not functioning properly until the end of our trip.
The house was gorgeous though and perfect location next to the beach club.
This is the 6th property we have rented for our family of 11 in Sea Pines. Having said that I compare this year to previous rentals.
This house has good indoor space. Each bedroom has a bath which is a big plus. Kitchen well equipped, good sized refrigerator. Complaint on bed in room right next to front door. It needs replacing (it is broken down)! All other beds comfortable and no complaints.
The room right inside front door with the game table: only 2 game table chairs and one had a broken arm but still useable.
The outdoor space (pool area) not all that good. Our family normally spends a good amount of time outside in the pool area. This pool too small and shallow. Compared to others we have rented this pool area gets a low rating. I would recommend that company cleaning pool and surrounding area come more often due to the large pine trees.
Access to beach is good. The beach area at end of walkway, very crowded—it is right next door to hotel and condos. This however would probably not keep us away tho we were accustomed to less crowded beach area.
Meredith at Five Star Properties was helpful and informative. she was prompt in answering any questions and helped straigt away with the one simple request we had.
We love our family vacations In Hilton Head and hope to be back next year. This house will be a consideration.
Thank you.
Martha
The house was spacious for our group. We had six young adults and the second floor worked perfectly for them.
We did have to call to have someone clean the pool. I don't think anyone came before we checked in.
The house can use some patio tables around the pool and screen in porch area.
All in all the week was fun and we would rent again.
Very nice property. The pool doesn’t get a lot of sunlight and was very - very small. The house was great and spacious.

Disappointed
HHI is a wonderful place. The property was in poor condition. Sink in master bedroom drain very slowly, the kitchen sink was leaking onto the floor. We discovered a bowl there catching the leaking water. Under one of the beds there were many candy wrappers. The refrigerator could not accommodate nine people, had to buy ice for our drinks. There was not enough pots for cooking, later several were bought for the kitchen.
I must say the property managers responded very well , by we were not there to handle and discover rental problems.
Second year we have stayed at this property. We love the layout and location and plan to stay there again next summer.

Great location but just an "okay" house
Pool lights never worked....called on day one but never fixed....no fun at night....and without heat the spa is rendered useless. Advertisement indicated pool heat would have to be paid for but did not mention the spa needed to be paid for as well.....would have considered paying for it for the spa....did not need it for the pool.
Stayed in sea pines HHI rentals for 15 years.....never had a company not fix something or at least follow up. Also, without a midweek touch up the pine tree needles would have had to be picked up by hand since there was not a broom or leaf blower to clean pool deck.
Not likely to book again.
