The views were very pretty but the cabin would benefit from some maintenance. The moist air caused some mustiness and the mattress was hard. If you are looking for a semi rustic Maine experience, this fits the bill. It’s well stocked with tools for cooking and cleaning and was clean. It’s located where you can take day trips to lots of sites to see and things to do.
Our stay at the cottage was everything we hoped it would be! Wendy, the owner has quite the eye for decorating as we walked into the cottage and saw her Coastal Maine decorating. Beautiful, peaceful lake!

Great last minute get away!
Cute , authentic cottage - right on the lake. We usually stay closer to the coast but this was a last minute booking. So location isn’t ideal for us - we enjoy dining in Camden , Rockport and Rockland so it’s a bit off the beaten path. Kitchen fully equipped- one full bed and a futon . Bathroom was roomy. We missed having a washer and dryer. Overall very peaceful.
We had a great time at this cabin, very quiet and relaxing. Wendy was great and we had no problems while we were there. She was very accommodating to our needs when we did have a request. We are hoping to be able to spend some time there again next summer. The location was perfect for what we needed. Thanks Wendy!
This cabin is the perfect Maine experience. Beautiful setting in the woods on a lake.
Very comfortable and clean. Everything you need to prepare your meals. Also very convenient location for exploring the surrounding areas. The Autumn colors were fantastic!
Tranquil with amazing views of lake. Such a peaceful location. Cottage was comfortable and spotless and had everything we needed. Wendy kept in touch to make sure all was well. Close to Belfast, Camden. Can’t wait to return.
The cottage is as comfortable and inviting as the photos suggest...lovely combination of cottage decor and antiques. Kitchen is fully-equipped. Quantabacook Lake is perfect for loon watching, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming etc. We will certainly be back!
What a view! A very clean, cute cabin right on the lake. No need to get out of bed to see the beautiful lake view and changing of the autumn leaves. All was exactly as described - perfect place to relax and unwind in a quiet, peaceful setting. East drives to visit neighboring towns and enjoy lobster. Wendy was amazing at communicating. So glad I found this spot - will be back hopefully in warmer weather to enjoy the lake! Thank you!
We had a lovely stay at Searsmont. The camp is simple but well appointed. The view from inside and out is beautiful. In fact if you keep the curtains open in the bedroom, you can watch the sun rise over the lake from bed. It's a stunning experience. If you need to work while there, the internet speed was excellent. I even did some Zoom meetings from the picnic table. An excellent spot for a couple to relax. Fishing was pretty good too.
Loved the property for its great location, privacy and natural beauty. Not far from Belfast and Camden. Waking up with a great cup of coffee and a beautiful view of the lake is priceless. We will be back next year. The cottage itself is very clean.
