This oversized 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom penthouse condo sleeps 6 with a king bed, queen Murphy bed and a queen sleeper sofa. It features modern design throughout and an updated kitchen and bathroom. The balcony overlooks Dercum Square. Premium linens throughout. Top floor location ensures a quiet stay. Centrally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and festivities. Plus, you're a short walk from the high-speed gondola. Dakota Lodge offers shared amenities including the largest pool in Keystone with slope views and two oversized hot tubs. And it's next to Dercum Square that features an ice rink during winter and a mini golf course during the summer.

The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area features vaulted ceilings and a flat screen TV next to a beautiful stone gas fireplace. Modern decor gives it an open feel. There is a queen-sized Murphy bed that can be pulled down at night and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Extra linens are in a closet. The private balcony is just off the living area and overlooks Dercum Square that features an ice rink during the winter and a miniature golf course during the summer. Beyond that are beautiful mountain views.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features quartz counters and stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats four and there are three additional seats at the breakfast bar.

The bedroom features a king-sized bed and a flat screen TV. There is also a seating area near the window with beautiful views. The full bathroom is just across the hall and has a single sink vanity with a quartz countertop and a shower/tub combination with tile surround. It is stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

5 star property with 1 star management

This condo is fantastic, great location, lots of room and quality furnishings (beds, mattresses, couch etc). It's always unfortunate when a nice place is poorly managed, I always feel bad for the owners. We arrived after driving all day, insane traffic delays etc. The condo didn't have enough towels for the number of people booked. When I messaged the management company about the shortage, they told me I had to get back in the car and come and get them at their office up the road!!!! It was New Years Eve and the village was a giant traffic jam. I wasn't going anywhere after driving all day. I asked if they could just drop them off the next morning when they had staff on site and they refused and said I had to come pick them up. I escalated the issue to VRBO, wasting an hour of my vacation time, only to have them tell VRBO that they'd be happy to drop them off the next day. Why couldn't they just have done that in the first place? Why is customer service so hard to find these days?

Great long weekend stay!

The location is perfect, as it is just next to the village, so walking to the gondola, or to get food, etc. is just a few steps. Observations:1. Dedicated indoor parking in a heated garage is an amazing feature.2. There is only one elevator, so it can get crowded at times. Just remember, you are on vacation. 3. The management company was excellent. We had two minor issues, and both were resolved with a simple text message. A humidifier and the hair dryer died mid week and both were replaced within an hour.4. The view is fantastic, especially if you like people watching with your morning coffee.5. The mattresses were great. For reference, we are a family of three.

Great Location.

My daughter and I only stayed on night. We loved the location. Close to the lifts, restaurants and ice skating. Hot tub was nice and the pool was warm enough to stay in for a while on a cold night. The condo was clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful condo, great location!

It's a great condo. Very clean and comfortable. Both the main king mattress and the murphy bed queen mattress have firm memory foam pads on them that are pretty comfortable. My husband didnt sleep as well due to the firmness but I was good. We were grateful for two humidifiers to use while sleeping, as it's super dry in Keystone. There are also several big box fans we used to pull in the cool outside air, which was great due to there being no AC. (We stayed in July and the unit was definitely quite warm, being 5th floor. But we were comfortable.) The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The pool and large hot tub were wonderful! Would stay here again. Very positive experience.

It is a good size.I had a problem the first night as I arrived late, and found the property freezing cold. I noticed that the door to the balcony was open, so closed that. I found the switch to turn on the fire, but the fire was set to low, and there were no instructions on how to turn up the heat. The first night I was quite cold. I only discovered the next morning when I could see that one of the bedroom windows was open. I could not see that in the night as there were only 2 bedside lights in the bedroom, no main light.Other than the problems of the first night, I had a good stay. I worked out how to turn up the fire, so the property was then very comfortable.But it would be a good idea to ensure that all doors and windows are closed for each new guest in future.

Summit County Mountain Retreat Property Management Needs Work

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property itself is great. It is not "a penthouse", it just happens to be on the top floor. My issue began when I opened the property door and a splinter went into my hand. The next day I discovered that there were no oven mitts. I had to use dishtowels to pull a hot glass casserole dish out of the oven and it slipped and shattered all over the floor. When I text Summit County prop mgmt, regarding the splinter from the door, the broke screen door and lack of oven mitts, dustpan and mop & requested housekeeping to clean up the broken glass, they stated that they would send up some mitts and a dustpan. I received a broken broom with a dustpan 8 hrs later but never received the oven mitts. The prop mgmt co was less than stellar. The condo was great, but the prop mgmt made my stay a bit miserable. My family stepped on glass more than once & the company should be thankful I do not pursue damage costs. I will never rent from the Summit County Mountain Retreat property company again.

Extremely dirty and unsanitary conditions

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is amazing with beautiful views. There was a dirty toilet bowl wand and plunger dripping brown along the wall and floor. The spare blankets in the closet were dirty and piled on top of a dusty vacuum and dirty broom and the kitchen was full of glasses that were covered with lipstick marks. Furthermore there is a strict 5pm check in and 10am check out so you are paying for an extremely short stay. Unresponsive and incredibly rude management team running this apartment.

Great condo- bad mattress

We love our condo and location was great. The only thing that was bad is the mattress was hard foam. Slept awful the whole time. Both mattress were the same style. If your use to pillow top mattress you will not like this one..wouldn’t stay again because of mattress.

Summit Mountain Rentals was very communicative. The checkin was easy (thought a slightly off-site checkin is not the same as a front desk in a hotel). The process was easy and the Unit was exactly as it was listed. To me, the most important thing is clarity and expectations, and this experience was perfect. This is a nice unit with a nice view. And the Aspens were at their Peak in Summit County and Beyond.

Keystone getaway

We felt the check in process was easy and straightforward. They were painting doors and cleaning the garage floor while we were there. A bit of an inconvenience but tolerable. Lodging was clean and had all the necessary amenities. A kitchen scissors and a nonslip bath mat would be nice. We needed a little help with the tv. The managers were very responsive and came right away. We would stay again.

Adorable get away in the mountains

This rental property was amazing! It had everything needed for an extended weekend. It was very clean and the check in process was a breeze. So convenient to River Run and the shuttle comes right outside. Would definitely stay again !!

A good place for Rocky Mountain Family Get-Together

A good resort place to relax after a heavy day of hiking at the Rocky Mountains. Good outdoor pool and hot tub, and underground parking, but sauna is not working.
