beautiful place in near Olympic NP

Everything was great with the home. The only less than perfect aspect of cleanliness was a number of spiders, spider webs up high, and dust on higher surfaces, but these may be more attributable to the time of year, the climate in this area, and the possibility that we were the first people in the property for a while. Who knew that hiking in the rain forest was a fun winter activity?!?

Lots of sleeping options, great secluded location,

Loved the seclusion, with many beds. Outdated interior design. Over all good experience if traveling with a large group

Lovely private getaway

Private is an understatement. It is far back off the road and super quiet. We heard owls at night and the deer were just outside the window every day. The view of the mountains is perfect.

Very peaceful place to stay. Would stay here again. A few old pans for cooking and lack of oil for cooking. But Bath was great. Pretty clean when arrived.

Quite location and great for families

This property would work best for families with kids. the kitchen is well equipped. There aren't many bedside lights, so I suggest you bring something from home that works for you.

Great location and comfortable home

Location. Sharing meals together (8 adults). Hiked every day and saw mountains over breakfast table 5 of 7 days. Upstairs bathrooms comfortable and spacious. All beds but one of twins in basement comfortable. Quiet, spacious home.

Exceeded our expectations!

We were on the Grand Road Trip 2024 with four grandchildren - two 10 year old boys and two twelve year old girls. We needed a place w a bedroom for the girls, a bedroom for the boys and a bedroom for Grandpa and Noni. We felt at home immediately in this clean, bright and spacious home. Grounds are well maintained and suitable for a game of flag football. I appreciated the long dining table - plenty big enough for the six of us. The kitchen is well equipped for anything one would want to prepare The photos on the listing are good, but the reality is better! Our excursions took us to Shi Shi Beach, Hurricane Ridge, Salt Creek recreation area and Fort Warden. We highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Nice place to stay

Plenty of space for our family of 7. We spent our time at Olympic National Park and also visited the Dungeness Spit. For those cooking their own meals, there are plenty of dishes. Oil, salt and pepper, 2 coffee samples, tea bags and sweetner packets. I suggested that they leave instructions for the alarm. Deer in the yard on several occasions.

Awesome location and house

The location was beautiful. We saw deer everyday in the yard and even a coyote. The house is big for a family of eight. The only cons were the mattresses need updated and the upper living room couch otherwise it was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and I loved that simple things like dishwasher packets and garbage bags were included. My only other suggestion would be adding a second outside garbage can. For a family of eight- one garbage can isn’t enough for a week and we had to leave the garbage outside by the garage and was worried about animals. We will definitely book the house again if we come this way! Loved the space and the area. On clear days the mountains are right outside the windows!

Basketball championship games were on TV but couldn’t get TV to work. Nothing to do for kids.

Outside deck was worn n yard was not taken care of. Beds uncomfortable. Towels/sheets were left in the dryer. Would not stay there again.

2nd trip

This is the second trip we made to Port Angeles, WA and 2nd time we stayed at this house. We would never consider staying anywhere else! It is perfect!! The outside is in great shape. Love the deer strolling through the yard, the trees that add privacy, the large yard to play soccer, and there is that mountain out the living room large pane glass windows. Beautiful!! The Inside is spacious. Never felt crowded although there was 6 adults and 2 children. We had 1 twin bed and two bunk beds that we never used. The kitchen is roomy and has many appliances. We need to book our trip again!!!

Could have been better

The home had no garbage service and could not find out what to do with trash until the 5th day - We were told just to leave the accumulated trash in the house. Instructions for the fireplace damper operation were wrong. Only 4 dining room chairs and very sparsely furnished in the other rooms. Otherwise it was a nice property in a peaceful setting.

Incredibly peaceful stay in the wilderness

Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely stay here again. You’re surrounded by peaceful woods with deer and birds close by. Grounds are well kept with ample room to play. Beware of the holes. If you’re playing soccer or frisbee, invariably someone will fall in one of these and possibly sprain an ankle. Home is so spacious. We’re are a family of four but easily A much larger group could stay. The home is so beautiful, we loved our stay! Be warned - don’t look underneath the beds, thick layer of dust and candy / sprinkles everywhere. So the dust levels really high and if you have seasonal allergies, expect to be popping a lot of antihistamines to survive the nights. There are ants roaming around as well but they didn’t seem to bother us too much. Overall, wonderful stay!

A nice family getaway, matches the pictures well

Our extended family had a lot of fun here! A few things to note: The pictures are pretty accurate. The upstairs bedrooms are more amply sized and have neater, more refined furnishings. The downstairs were smaller (most especially the double bed room) and simpler. Downstairs bathroom (not shown in pictures, you have to use the 3d tour) could really use a shelf or something to help hold things. It's a functional half bathroom but just not as nice as the upstairs ones. I wish the primary bedroom ensuite could be removed so as to provide easier shower access to the rest of the house, but obviously that's not possible :) The circular staircase would have worried me more if our toddlers were younger, like new walkers/crawlers. My kid and her cousin are very steady on their feet now and somewhat decent at following directions (i.e. coming to ask a grownup if they want to take the "curly staircase"). We made some suggestions for additional furnishings/lamps for certain rooms, especially main living room to property management. The pictures do not necessarily make this clear, but the dining table extends and the bench combined with dining chairs can easily sit 8. About 15 minutes to downtown Port Angeles or Sequim. We liked being a little removed with the big yard for the kids to run around.

Nice place but not so clean

We really liked the house itself, spacious and open plan. Quiet and lots of privacy. Well stocked kitchen. But the house is dusty, cob webs and beds are not made. Although the bathrooms are clean. It's just 45 min drive to lake crescent and Olympic national park. Very convenient.

Awesome location

The house is located in a great place. I travel a lot for work and this house is one the quietest places I've stayed in. Large space for all the family. Well stocked and very clean. The property is located close to Port Angeles and there is easy access to the Olympic mountains & parks. From the living room windows we watched deer and had a great view of the mountains (when the weather allowed). When I return to Port Angeles I will definitely see if the house is available.
