This home and community was a lovely place to recooperate from surgery. It was close to the hospital but far enough away to feel like your out of the city. We would love to stay again next time we're in Milwaukee.
My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights for a girls trip for a concert in town. The townhouse was clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. The futon was actually pretty comfortable as well! Communication with owner was excellent , and the location was in a cute town within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a wine place :) we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Cute and charming!
This apartment was just perfect for our weekend in the Milwaukee area. It's located in the historic Village of Greendale. We were within walking distance of the small downtown district offering lovely shops, coffee house, bakery, wine bar, resale shop, and a wine bar. The apartment is well equipped so you could cook there if you wanted to. There's a nice outdoor seating area. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We would stay again!
Came in for a short stay for a wedding. The area was beautiful- close to food and a mall. Easy access but the house is on a very narrow street so you have to really pay attention because it’s tough to turn around. Only issue was the bedroom tv did not work - which was fine. And the router/modem in the bedroom was very bright so it has to be covered with a towel. Would recommend.
Very clean but small bathroom. Needs a grab bar in the shower and a higher toilet, bed was comfortable and furniture in living room was not comfortable. Needs a couple recliners as the chair was low and hard to get out of. We are older and would have been more comfortable with better chairs. Over would give it a B+
We would stay here again.
The no visitor policy was strange as we were visiting family and they came over to pick us up and came inside several times. We understand no overnigjt guests bit??

Updates
Property location was nice. LR furniture is outdated & uncomfortable for seniors. Food was left in the refrigerator & freezer from previous occupants. TV reception was poor. We've rented a fair number of VRBO properties but have not had to strip the bed prior to leaving. Last minute email that we didn't receive until we returned home that asked us to notify owner when we left the property. Owner had been asked to text since we don't have email access when we are travelling.
I love the property it is well maintained and was a perfect location for visiting my sick mom. The instructions can in through the message part of vrbo, email, and via direct text from the owner. As a frequent business traveler I am used to a simple process. I am partially to blame as I am admittedly super busy how having checkin info come from three locations was confusing to say the least. I was so busy I did not get to really stay there much but I think think all the rules and regulations reminded me of 11th grade insteqd of easy business travel I am used to. So if you liked at the rules and reuglations of high school go for it. If you want easy non hostel type arrangements go to a hotel. I think if I wasnt so buyy all the rules wouldn't be so irksome. But I am busy and don't want to go back to high shcool. Lovely place for a realexed traveler who has time to read all the rules and difernet inputs but for a busy traveler I would not reccommend. So I have mixed feelings lovely place but kind of like being in high school with all the rules. I hated high school
The property was exactly as described and was very comfortable and cozy. The host was fabulous to work with and she supplied lots of extras at the property for our stay. Would DEFINITELY stay there again, should the occasion arise!
All previous reviews are on point. The community and neighbors are amazing, the walks to the shops and restaurants were above all of our expectations. The house itself is extremely comfortable and cozy.
Cute one bedroom in the heart of the community. Staying here gave us a great location from which we could easily visit family and friends and yet have our own place to come home to at night. All the necessities are here and the community draws you in. It’s easy to take in a nice morning walk, coffee on the patio, a long bike ride entertainment at the gazebo, and of course shopping.
I loved my stay here. The cottage is so cute and perfect for one person or a couple. Greendale is such a quaint city. One night a pop up band started playing in a driveway down the street. And they were so good! Bike trails close by too and the botanical gardens were beautiful.
The location was perfect for the many people that I had to visit while in Wisconsin. Very clean and very well stocked. Left some wrapping paper in the closet which was the only thing I had to buy!
Came to town for our sons baseball tournament and hit the jackpot with this rental. Perfect for our needs and only 2 miles from the games. Big bonus was getting to experience the cool little village of Greendale! Definitely hope to come back in the future. Property manager was also great to work with.
We needed a place that was not a hotel . My friend, a frequent user, recommended. I am beyond happy. It was quiet & peaceful. Very close to freeway access to all Milwuakee areas. The owner was extremely helpful & communicative. It exceeded my expectations & I would highly recommend this particular owner.

Nice small & cozy home
I had a great week in Greendale and Milwaukee, everything perfect and clean in the house and all amenities as described. House is fully equipped with everything you may need, Walmart for groceries and the Southridge Mall are just in a 3-minutes-driving-distance. Historic Center with several stores and restaurants is only in 5-minutes-walking distance. All necessary information was provided immediately. I highly recommend Jennifers house and would return any time.

Great little historical town!
We were very pleased with our stay in Greendale and the location of our rental. We were able walk and/or ride our bicycles to the historical downtown area and around the community. The historic downtown area has been updated and very well maintained by very involved local citizens. We were also very impressed with how everyone maintained their lawns/homes. You can really tell folks takes pride in their community.
If you get a chance to learn about Greendale - it's very interesting... from it's Greenbelt history to the Chimney Tours to Taste of Home test kitchen. We were so glad we decided to make this base.
Rental is also close / easy drive to downtown Milwaulkee, which too has some very interesting sites - check out the Art Museum at closing time.
Although we could not get our motorcycle trailer down the small side street to the driveway of our rental (calls parked in narrow street) we were able to find another area nearby at last minute.
Lastly, but not leastly, Jenny was terrific. She responded very promptly to my many questions before our travel... Jenny, we greatly appreciate your hospitality and will keep your your place in mind should we make it that way in the future!

About the host

Greendale is my hometown. We moved there when I was a baby and I lived there through high school. Although I moved away from the town for 30 years, I still frequently visited and this village is near and dear to my heart. I was finally able to make my dream come true and purchase a Greendale original. I live on the property off and on during the year.
Why they chose this property
Walking distance to downtown Greendale, Very safe, quiet neighborhood.
