Your Next Cozy Escape 1BR New Cabin near Cheyenne Crossing/Spearfish Canyon!

Looking for that cozy place for you and up to 3 more friends/family? Look no more as the ‘Barn’ is the perfect spot for smaller groups. Located at the South end of Spearfish Canyon and walking distance to Cheyenne Crossing, you’ll enjoy paved road access but still have plenty of privacy. Your next home away from home is on an open lot with plenty of parking for trailers filled with your snowmobiles and ATVs and easy access to the local trail systems. You also get access to the garage during the Sturgis Bike Week! There is no access to the garage except for during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in early August.

Inside this newly built Barn, you'll find a modern kitchen, a comfortable living area, one bedroom, and a full bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed, and we do have a queen sized air mattress for the living room. You'll enjoy this space while on your next vacation!

While on your travels, you can be in Deadwood in 15 minutes, Spearfish in 20 minutes, Sturgis in 30 minutes and down to see Mount Rushmore, Keystone, and Custer in just under an hour. There are smooth roads through the trees with wondrous views in all directions while endless adventures await. Feel like a little golf? Lead Country Club is 5 minutes from the property, and local fly fishing is practically out your door! Come stay at the Barn and know what it feels like to live in the Black Hills on your next vacation.

The Barn

Very clean with excellent parking. Snow removal was prompt and done each day. The only negative I have is the listing stated "extra bed" It was an air mattress. That should be cleared up on the listing. Overall very good and I would strongly recommend this for a couple.

Loved the location!

Location was perfect for us....quiet area in the evenings away from the tourist hot-spots and close to the areas we wanted to explore this trip. Interior is decorated nicely and was extremely clean. We spent most evenings sitting outside on the patio area soaking in the beautiful view of the pines. Two things that caused me to rate overall at 4 stars instead of 5: Mattress is way past its prime and needs to be replaced, and the wifi is weak at best, sometimes not working at all.

Small but sweet

This little cabin was a wonderful place for us on this short trip. It was very clean! We were riding our ATVs all day, so we really didn’t need a lot of space to chill. We saw deer in the yard every morning. The kitchen was well-appointed, though the can opener needs to be replaced. We appreciated that there were plenty of bath towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. The mattress seems a bit worn, but I’ve slept on worse. Another thing I want to be sure to mention is the front door automatically locks. Fortunately, the first time it happened, one of us was inside, while the other two were unloading the vehicles, so we didn’t get locked out.

It was our first trip away from our kids in 3 years and it was the perfect setting! Comfy and cozy little barn and very clean! Perfect accommodations for everything. Even had board games and decks of cards which you don’t see!

The Barn in June

The Barn was easy to find, very well maintained and decorated, and in a area easily accessible to all the places we wanted to go. We were hauling SxS on a long trailer and we found that we weren't able to park our truck and trailer on site, but luckily just down the road at the intersection of Cheyenne crossing there was a place we could park and left the truck there all week. We were able to ride the SxS everywhere from the Barn, including Mount rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer park, Deadwood, spearfish canyon, etc . The only issue we had was folding the hideaway sofa when we left, our son had been sleeping there all week, and we had trouble folding it back into sofa position. We did enjoy the fact that there was a washer and dryer for us to use since we were there for a solid week. Cheyenne crossing just down the road had a delicious breakfast menu.

Wonderful and Relaxing!

Our stay at the barn was wonderful. We felt immediately at home once I stepped into the rental. Beautiful decorations and the place is so well-kept and clean, we loved every detail. We arrived after the sun set and woke up to beautiful views with pine trees lining the street and quietness all around. We absolutely loved walking the road. We are avid hikers and wanted to avoid the snow, so the road was the second best option. Beautiful scenery and homes. We also loved having Cheyenne Crossing so close by, excellent food and great customer service. Sled Haus was our second favorite place to eat that's located in Lead. Authentic German food, at their twice and loved it! The Hills has a special place in our hearts. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Budi!

A nice place to rest in a beautiful setting

The property was clear & exactly how it was shown. It was a perfect location for exploring the north end of the black hills. The owner/property manager was quick to respond to any questions I had.
