Had a great weekend meeting up with my siblings and their families and getting to stay together in this cozy house. We had plenty of space for 6 adults and 4 kids. The house is so well stocked (towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, kitchen supplies—even pizza stones!) we didn’t wish for anything. The neighborhood was great, had a nice walk around Caz. The hosts were great, responded quickly to inquiries and checked in making it easy to ask any small questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.
This house was comfy and cozy from the first moment I stepped inside. A group of six of us were in Cazenovia for a high school reunion, and it was perfect for us. We all had spacious bedrooms, and a kitchen that allowed us to all gather and snack around the center island. The front porch was delightful - each morning most of sat out there with our coffee, watching the sun coming up and many friendly neighbors walking their dogs. One morning we had breakfast for 7 at the large dining room table. We never felt crowded, or got in each others way, even when it came to sharing the two bathrooms. The house location, just outside of the village, was ideal, allowing us easy walkable access to the the lake and the village, with plenty of outstanding restaurants close by. We all give this house a five-star salute, and hope to return there in the future!
The property was perfect for our needs, it slept nine of us ( 3 couples & 3 singles) comfortably. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors that were welcoming.
The house was well stocked and had all of the amenities that we needed. We stayed for two nights while riding through the area. There was amble parking for our needs, the carport and garage were a great benefit.
Our hosts communicated well and made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Highly recommend this property and the hosts.
The overwhelming concensus was this is one of the best rental houses weve wver stayed in. The beds were comfortable, layout and location were perfect for gathering of family and friends, especially families with kids. My only complain is of the very sensitive smoke alarm that went off of just the oven was turned on. The tvs and internet were great. Overall a great stay and a million times better than a hotel. Thank you.
We had a wonderful family stay at Robin's house. The house was perfectly laid out for our family and we had everything we needed. It was convenient to our wedding venue and shops were close by. Would definitely stay there again.
Super location to walk everywhere. Nice size house. We loved sitting on the front porch in the sun each day! It is our 2nd stay at this property this year!
We've stayed at this lovely house 3 times now - each time with a slightly different group. This time it was all adults for a long-awaited sibling reunion after the pandemic. We enjoyed meals at the big dining room table, walks to the lake and into town for food and ice cream, and the overall relaxing atmosphere of the house and town. Hoping to lure my kids and grandkids back here next year!
Rather than trying to book 5 different hotel rooms during Syracuse University graduation weekend we opted for the convenience of staying at this wonderful house with five bedrooms. It worked out to be a dream.
Needed a place for out-of-state family members, here for a funeral. The house was perfect for relaxing together, and it was great to be able to walk to cute restaurants and the lake. Lots of room to spread out.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Robin’s home. It was spacious, clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The location was ideal for us to walk to shops and restaurants and the proximity to our family who live in town was an added bonus. Robin made check in easy and was a perfect host!
Great stay at Robin's place in Lake Cazenovia.
We were pleasantly surprised at what a gorgeous and upscale town this house is in. The streets were all lit up for the holidays and there were great restaurants walking distance away. What beautiful streets! Also some excellent nature hikes nearby. We also live in an old home, so loved the atmosphere here. The house was perfect. There were more than enough beds to sleep our whole crew with multiple alternate arrangements to suit 6 kids and their constantly changing sleepover preferences (ages 2-13). The kitchen was well appointed and covered parking (garage and carport) was well appreciated. Practical full sized fridge and a large dining area with tons of chairs. Living room was a great setting for NYE "dance party with kids." Kids had a fabulous time exploring the house and were fascinated by the two sets of stairs. Sheets were soft and towels were plentiful.
Robin was really easy to get a hold of via the VRBO app (only delay was a technical issue on behalf of the app) and check-in and check-out were really easy and smooth.
Only constructive comments are that there were some popped nails in the stairwell (as one would expect in an old home at change of season) and some light bulbs that were burnt out, but Robin left a really well stocked toolbox with everything we needed to fix these issues easily and quickly ourselves. We were not quite able to find enough closet storage for all of our (probably excessive, lol) winter gear, but since there were two entrances, were able to spread jackets out a bit. A possible easy fix would be to add 3-4 more hooks to the closet. I also LOVE that we could recycle here. Robin very generously gave us an early check-in AND a late checkout to accomodate more family time - we felt very spoiled :)
Overall, I highly recommend this place. Look no further if you are looking for a stress free, beautiful place to stay for a family reunion and making great memories. Thanks for opening up your home to our family, Robin!
Thanks for a great stay!
Great location, central for Cazenovia and walking.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property and the third for family members. It is large, spacious and perfect for multi generational family gatherings, even though all of ours have been for funerals. The Hosts, Robin & Matt are spectacular to work with and the home is central to everything in Cazenovia.
The house was what we needed and hoped for. The location was very convenient and comfortable. The host was responsive to our needs and communicative. Overall a very good experience.

About the host
Hosted by Robin and Matt Lamb
My husband and I just purchased this house in March. We live in Raleigh, NC with our 2 kids and 2 dogs. We are very excited to be able to come back to my hometown during certain times of the year. I grew up in Cazenovia and have many family and friends still there. We feel very lucky to own this house and be able to bring our family back to my hometown and enjoy the holidays and the summer in upstate NY.
Why they chose this property
Growing up in Cazenovia, I lived outside the village. My grandparents lived in the village and I loved being there and being able to walk in to town and to all of my friends houses. I also always dreamed of owning an older, more historic house.
