Come enjoy privacy and serenity in the mountains! Our cozy cabin is a 450 sq foot hand-built log cabin with lots of character in the hand-peeled porch railings, the distinct lines of chinking between the logs, and the warm golden glow that emanates from within. It's very peaceful here which makes it the ideal place for adult guests to enjoy a restful getaway.
Our property is adjacent to the Prescott National Forest. Relax outdoors, gazing at the mountains while listening to the wind blow through the trees. Take a walk around the property or go for a hike or bike ride without having to get in the car and drive. Our log home is situated across from the cabin. Guest privacy is our foremost priority.
Downtown Prescott always has something going on and it’s only 4 miles from the cabin. You can spend hours perusing the antique shops on Cortez St., listen to live music at the Courthouse Square or enjoy a fine meal at the Peacock Dining Room inside of the historic Hassayampa Inn. When Prescott was a frontier town, Whiskey Row is where you’d find bawdry girls, gamblers and outlaws. Have a drink at one of the watering holes and then skedaddle over to Bill’s Pizza for the “Elton John” or to El Gato Azul for tapas. When you’re good and tuckered out, come home to the Trading Post and relax.

The cabin is beautiful, very well furnished and clean. I stayed three nights and slept like a log. The porch swing is a perfect place to soak in the quiet, feel the breeze and txt those that aren't here with you.
Quick overnight trip. Was very easy to get to and very close to downtown. The space was perfect for what we needed. Lisa was very thoughtful with all her touches throughout the cabin. Very clean. Lisa is also very easy to get ahold of. It is also very peaceful. Just what we needed.
The location and cabin beat our expectations. It was quiet and cozy like the description said. We were close to Prescott downtown area, meeting friends, restaurants and hiking. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to those looking for this size of a BNB.
This is a super quiet and cozy cabin. Wonderful attention to detail, great amenities. The host is available if needed, but totally lets you enjoy the peace and quiet.
Can't say enough about this place. It was warm, cozy, and comfortable. I had a stomach flu during my stay (unrelated to the cabin) and this was the perfect place for me. I woke up feeling rested and refreshed. Stepped outside in the morning to hear the cabin porch creak under my feet. The birds chirping, sunlight reflecting off the freshly fallen snow. This place is so beautiful.
This was our second visit to this wonderful place. It was as good as our first visit, exactly one year ago to celebrate my husband birthday. We will return, we love it here. Thank you Lisa for a very special stay.
We loved the cabin, my daughter Elyssa even left you a great note :) We also enjoyed our time around Lynx and Willow, two of our favorite hike hang outs.
We had everything we needed! The cabin is stocked with the basics, always. So clean and HOMEY!
Nice, small place in a secluded area. Quiet and peaceful. All positive except she doesnt allow EV car charging regardless of having an outlet on the front porch. Also, front door locks itself so dont walk out without your key like I did. Both of those were disclosed before my stay.
A beautiful place (our second visit here), and so incredibly calm, serene and peaceful up there. We made use (several times) of the very short walk to Wolverine trail, which leads to expansive nature trails.
Staying at this cabin was one of the best parts of our whole trip! It was so perfect and peaceful. Lisa really made the place feel cozy and personal. Definitely would love to come stay again.
We came up to Prescott for a wedding and was able to relax a little in this beautiful cabin. Unfortunately we did not get to spend a lot of time at the cabin. If I would have known how peaceful and beautiful the cabin and property were I would have switched our schedule around and booked it for the whole weekend. Just a quick drive to downtown Prescott with all the fun shops and restaurants of Whiskey Row and Gurley St. Also close to hiking trails which we were going to enjoy but unfortunately had bad weather. Hostess was quick to respond, left a personal note, and had very clear instructions on checking in and out. I would love to come back to this place another time. If you want relaxation this is your place.
But I cannot get over the fact that the commode is designed for a small <12 year old child. VERY low to the ground with a tiny little bowl makes it extremely uncomfortable for a grown man or woman. A full-sized chair-height toilet only costs $200 - Please do your guests a favor and install one!
We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin, so nicely decorated, peaceful and cozy. Lisa the host was very nice and attentive. We would love to comeback when the weather is warm to be able to enjoy the outside

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Genshock
After spending years working and living in the city, I decided it was time for change of pace, so my husband and I set out out to find a place to live and work in beautiful, natural surroundings. Not only did we find a "diamond in the rough" log home with a spectacular view, we gained the cutest log cabin along with it. After months of scouring Prescott's fine antique stores for unique furniture and decor and placing each piece with care, we realized we have a very special place to offer our guests for an unforgettable stay in Prescott. We hope you feel that way, too.
Why they chose this property
In our neighborhood, all of the properties are 2 acres or more, so the houses aren't close together which gives a feeling of spaciousness and privacy. Wildlife is abundant - deer, javelina, rabbits, bobcats, mountain lions, and bears! Our charming downtown is only 4 miles away and offers great restaurants, antique shopping, art galleries and retail stores. Our lively Courtyard Square always has something going on. Within a short drive, I can enjoy fabulous hiking trails or fishing on one of our five lakes.
What makes this property unique
It's VERY quiet here! The cabin is very cozy and well decorated. My priority is to provide a private and peaceful stay. The A/C and heat are super quiet and efficient. You can make your coffee, tea or cocoa in the Keurig. Don't want to eat out? There is a small microwave, mini fridge and Weber grill for cooking. The side yard adjacent to the cabin is perfect for relaxing and the view is fabulous. Sip a favorite beverage and watch the puffy, white clouds float by. Cook your dinner on the Weber grill.
You're close to some of the best hiking and biking trails in Prescott - no need to get in the car and drive to a trailhead. The night time is very serene on the property. Sit on the porch swing and listen to the crickets, and the wind blowing through the trees. There are no city lights to mask the thousands of stars in the sky. The views are beautiful from anywhere on the property.
You'll love the location! Every property in the neighborhood is 2 acres or more, so the houses aren't close together. This gives a feeling of spaciousness and privacy.
