Nice little cabin with a view of the mountains, amazing sunsets and night sky viewing. The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature but also close to nice restaurants and lots to do during the day.
Another wonderful stay for my family at this charming cabin in the woods. The host is terrific, the house is cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked. This is the perfect place to get away, enjoy nature, and spend time together. Thank you!
Nice rustic house. Kitchen is well stocked. Great little cabin for. Couples retreat. Fairly isolated but still not far from town. Nights with a fire outside are beautiful..
We had a very enjoyable week at Little Lodge. The property was so quiet and private, with wonderful nature to observe. Loved our morning coffee on the front deck listening to the bird songs. Had a great time exploring the area, and appreciated the hosts suggestions for historic spots, restaurants, etc. The cabin is quintessentially rustic and full of charm. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the laundry in the basement (but never did find the iron and ironing board.) The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We did bring our rating down just a bit due to the cobwebs and dust/dirt inside the cabin, as well as the back porch. Also, the landscaping around the cabin seems to have gotten a bit out of control, which detracts from the cute structure that it is. Overall, very nice place!
The cabin is the perfect size for a family of 5. Great outdoor scenery. The sunset from the porch of the house on the top of the property was especially great. It was also close to multiple state parks. Plenty to do for a fun getaway.
Our family enjoyed another wonderful stay at the cabin. We hiked up the trail, played in the yard, built a fire, and enjoyed the simple but comfortable interior. It has everything we need and nothing we don’t - and the host makes everything easy. Thank you for another weekend my family will remember!
As all of the reviews confirm, the cabin and location are perfect for an escape from the daily grind. My family loves coming here to unplug and we are grateful for Mike’s hospitality!
We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin. It was a perfect location to catch up with old friends from out of town. The sunset view from the top of the property is amazing! The kitchen was well furnished, and the fire pit was perfect for s’mores. Michael, the host, communicated effectively throughout the entire process. We would love to visit again in the future.
We had such a relaxing stay at this location. One thing I would add to the listing (maybe I missed it) was how big the lot is. If you enjoy being surrounded by beautifully manicured wilderness then this is the place for you. The fire pit is perfect size. There is a wood pile to chop up some lumber for the fire (nice workout). It’s so nice to just unplug, take in a deep breath of country air and relax by a crackling fire. Also - you can’t beat the price ! All of the amenities were excellent! There was a black stone grill there to cook up your favorite mess free breakfasts with an adorable table next to it to eat. There’s also great state parks (we went to two of them). Do yourself a favor and get to this rental. You’ll be happy you did.
The home was very comfortable and inviting; everything you need. The grounds were so pretty and the view from the top of the property for sun sets was beautiful. Very nice fire pit area as well. Very close to the VA boarder for rafting and other water activities. We had a wonderful time.
Great isolated cabin not far from town. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway

Perfect for viewing the Sunset with a view of the mountains. Large property with plenty of outdoor space and firepit. Lots of hiking and outdoor activities nearby.
My 4 kids (2 adults, 2 teens) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, etc, and a good set of cookware. The outdoor grill was a griddle. I hadn't used one before, and there was a slight learning curve for me. It did work great for making breakfast, eggs, bacon, and toast. The house accommodated us well. I don't have access to NHL games at home, so being able to catch a couple playoff games was a bonus.
The property is great. It's secluded, back in the trees off of the road. Up the hill in back is a great way to watch the sun set. We saw a few deer in the evenings. Stargazing while sitting around the fire was really enjoyable. We stayed here to visit Harper's Ferry and Antitem Battle Field. We all agreed it's a nice house on a great property.
The cabin was wonderful as well as the location. The sleeping arrangements could have been better. The loft had very steep steps and my husband fell down a few up from the bottom. Clean and cozy cabin which we really enjoyed.
My 17 yo son and I stayed for 2 nights during his spring break. We both love hiking, cabins, the forest, and exploring small towns. The lodge is soooo cozy and beautiful I didn’t want to leave! Beautiful big stone fireplace but we didnt use it because was hot during our stay. My siblings came up 1 day and hiked with us, went to caverns, explored Boonsboro, and enjoyed the outdoor firepit together. Owner is wonderfully responsive. Made wonderful memories and I hope to come back again sometime!!
This cabin was perfect for our trip exploring the South Mountain region of Maryland. It is located only a few miles from downtown Boonsboro, with access to restaurants and grocery stores. Yet it feels like it is miles away from civilization in the mountains, which was ideal for relaxing. The cabin itself was as advertised, and equipped with everything that we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with and provided us with recommendations about the area. Highly recommend if you are looking for a mountain getaway with a small group or family.
The cabin was exactly as shown. Michael was a fantastic host and made sure we weee comfortable and he even gave us a list of local shopping and things to do in the area.
Lovely cabin with everything you need. Enjoyed the peaceful setting yet accessible to a wonderful coffee/sweets shop (Stone Werks), restaurants and a grocery store.
This cabin is a family favorite and we are repeat visitors. We love it here and appreciate all the owner does to make our stays easy and comfortable. It is the perfect place to get away, slow down, and relax.
This property had the best of both worlds- 5 minutes from town and amenities, yet situated in a way that feels so secluded, peaceful and ‘away from it all.’ Lovelier inside than the photos and a perfect spot for Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry, Antietam and the local parks. Super well-maintained and comfortable & great communication with owner. Can’t say enough good things. Already talking about a return trip!

I am a native Floridian who relocated to DC over twenty years ago. I love this place which has been described as the "Greenest big city in the U.S." . I am an avid nature lover and savor living next to the Potomac River, also known as "the wildest urban river in the world." We live just minutes from Great Falls, with world class kayaking and ferocious rapids. When we are not enjoying city life in our Nation's Capitol, we relax at our mountain retreat an hour away in Boonsboro, MD. We enjoy welcoming guests from around the world into our homes and look forward to meeting you.
