Exceeded our expectations! Would recommend to a couple wanting a getaway from the crowds and yet convenient to the Park! We had everything we needed and more! Such a unique and adorable place to vacation!
The yurt was fantastic. Back in the woods so you had the isolated feeling of being alone. Beautiful interior. Small leak over the kitchen sink but the owner said he would fix it right away. Would highly recommend.

Great location, 10 mins from West Glacier. Yurt has fantastic amenities: washer/dryer, kitchen, generously sized living room space, dining area, super comfy bed, fireplace, and air conditioner. Quiet area, great stargazing, easy to find, less than 15 mins from several restaurants and grocery options, good cell service. Quick response from host! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again! Really a great find.

Yurt was well stocked and clean inside. Love the interior decorations. Super comfortable queen bed. Would highly recommend a stay there. Grounds around the yurt needed some help.
This yurt offers so much more than expected. Although the weather was unpredictable, we were comfortable because we had air conditioning and heat. The yurt itself was charming. So many decorative touches. I personally loved the Dali lama quotes on the walls. We saw deer grazing in our yard on a couple of occasions. And the wildflowers! Loved the little chairs and tables set outside for us to view the forest and the mountains. Shower worked well, and we even had a washer and dryer! You thought of everything. We had no worries. We cooked in every night after our hikes because everything was available.
We thought we would be glamping, but this was mindful luxury. Not too much. Just right. Loved our stay. Thank you so much!!! Little bit of heaven!
4.5/5 stars!
Had a very nice 4 day/3 night stay at the red yurt. The owner was very helpful and friendly, answered my questions!
Amenities:
- Very comfortable bed with warm blankets and comfortable couches!
- heating system was more than able to keep the yurt warm during chilly nights. We didn't need A/C.
- Washer/Dryer included (I brought my own detergent & dryer sheets. I didn't see any provided detergent but there were dryer sheets).
- Plenty of soft towels.
- Several extra rolls of toilet paper available.
- Plenty of silverware, dishes, cookware, and kitchen gadgets.
- salt & pepper and olive oil provided. A few other food items/spices were present, but I'm not sure what is stocked by the host and what was left from previous guests.
- Kcup coffee machine.
- no microwave, plan meals/leftovers accordingly!
Location:
- about 15 minute easy drive from the West Entrance of GNP.
- the driveway to the yurts is easy to miss the first time, read Vern's instructions carefully!
-The gravel driveway was a little rough, but our Camry made it up ok
- The only ding I have with this property is the "noise pollution". There's a train nearby that whistles throughout the day and night, some sort of construction or industrial site that has loud engines, and barking dogs at neighboring properties. None of this is the fault of the host, but something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper; the noises woke me up often.
Overall, a very nice stay at a nice property close to the park!
The property was clean and well stocked. It had great amenities that made our stay memorable. Staying in a yurt is definitely something that everyone needs to experience.
What a wonderful property! It’s a 10-15 minute drive to Glacier, and a very clean, comfortable, well-equipped, cute yurt. There were more perks than were listed - shampoo, coffee, washer/ dryer, and chairs to sit outside. The property is near train tracks which are busy overnight, but our white noise app mostly took care of any sleep interruptions. We really enjoyed our time in our yurt!! Many thanks to Vern for sharing his awesome property with us. He’s great with any communication!
The yurt was well outfitted and secluded. Kitchen was very useful and had what we needed. Laundry machines in unit was great! The bathroom was well done and clean. A little overpriced but that’s the market in Glacier.
Very cute and super clean. Sat outside in the evening with a bottle of wine to look at the stars. The bathroom, shower and laundry that are attached to the yurt is traditional wood and stick construction and is spacious and clean. The yurt is climate controlled with an air conditioner. Everything seemed new. Comes equipped with a coffee maker. No TV and you won’t get much more than a bar or two for cell phone coverage but if you’re choosing a yurt, you’ll probably appreciate disconnecting. Bed is a Queen, not a king. Located about 7 miles from the West Glacier Park entrance. Try Josephine’s (about a mile east) for dinner and specialty cocktails. A fun stay.
This property was absolutely amazing! The yurt was clean and comfortable. We had everything we could of needed. It is close to the west entrance of Glacier so it was easy to get up early and be in the park before the parking lots filled up.
Great yurt, spacious, well stocked, full kitchen and bath and laundry. The yurt is positioned wonderfully on the property with evening sunset and no early morning sun, shaded yet with a view. We loved the yurt and the host was quick to answer our questions. Close to Columbia Falls and close to West Glacier and US I-2. Great location with a gas station down the street, a little store about a mile up the street, and 3 or 4 restaurants closely. We recommend Josephines speak easy, that was a great little place to have a drink and a meal. Thank you Vern, our host.

The property is nice and it was clean. We enjoyed our stay. The yurt doesn't have solid walls so noise can be a little issue. During our stay, someone in the area was doing some shooting, either target practice or hunting, and the noise was a little unnerving because we aren't used to it. The outdoor seating wasn't great, but inside the yurt is super nice, well decorated, and comfortable.
Wonderful, unique place. Just minutes away from Glacier.
We had a wonderful time at the yurt. We wanted something different than a hotel - and this was just perfect. Very cozy and warm; well appointed with everything we could have hoped for. Vern was wonderful to communicate with (very responsive and helpful!). The location is great - right off the main road - and very close to the West Glacier entrance. Definitely recommend staying here!!
Our stay in the "Red Yurt" was wonderful! Our yurt had everything we needed and more. It was spacious with areas to sit and relax away from the eating table and bed. The bathroom was delightful with the shower and toilet separated from the sink so we could both be in the space. We were especially happy to discover the washer and dryer as we had planned to find a laundromat to do some mid-trip wash. The only thing lacking was the surrounding areas as there was a lot of clearing and brush piles. However, we figured that this was due to plans to expand "Yurtsville" and Vern confirmed that. I look forward to returning to see what he does with the area and to stay in the "red yurt" again!
A unique experience. It was fun telling people that we were staying in a yurt. Enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace on cold mornings and before bed. Very spacious. Excellent location for visiting Glacier National Park. Took only 10 minutes to get there. Would definitely stay there again.
We so enjoyed our stay! There wasn’t a thing that we needed that wasn’t provided at the yurt. Clean, beautiful, and easy to deal with.

Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this property upon finding it, not only because of it's proximity to the breathtaking Glacier National Park, but because of it's rural appeal yet being close to all the amenities the Flathead Valley has to offer.
What makes this property unique
My yurt village property is unique because of it's quiet secluded beauty literally away from it all. I've taken time and created a private retreat space. Come get back in touch with nature and yourselves, enjoy Glacier and the yurt retreat!
