Rented Michael's place for a snowboarding trip with our son and his friends - 6 teens, 2 adults. Place was excellent, location was perfect, great views, and very clean. Space was large with 3 floors. Teens stayed downstairs and enjoyed the pool table, tv, and space to hangout. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook a few meals over the weekend. Hope to be back again.
Amazing views, perfect location, great entertainment within the home.
We stayed for a long July 4th weekend. The property is very clean. Pool table and foosball table kept our preteen/teen boys entertained. Sitting on the back porch enjoying the quiet view was perfect for the adults. The 3 floors allow everyone to feel like they have their own space. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals as well as grilling. Conveniently located to so many smal towns nearby. We will definitely be back!
Had a great time! The road into Devil’s Den is a little steep, but we all made it up. The house was so cozy, beds were nice, and the pool and foosball table were good bonuses! Close to restaurants and shops. Would definitely go again!
This 3-level house is set on a hill above the highway between Boone and Banner Elk, with easy access to both and a view out to Grandfather Mountain. It has 2 common areas, both spacious with plenty of seating, including theater seating in the living room. The kitchen is very well-equipped and there are full-size washer and dryer. There are 3 bedrooms plus a bunk bed in a sleeping alcove. The spacious master bedroom is on the lowest floor next to the bonus room with pool table - be aware of this. The other 2 bedrooms are much smaller but quite fine. The road up is very steep and graveled, although for no more than 1/2 mile - we felt 4-wheel drive would be mandatory during snow or ice conditions.
My family of 5 stayed in this property from 3/26 - 29. The home is located on a steep, narrow, gravel, mountain road but there should be no issues in a car unless there is snow or ice. The property is well equipped and the photos in the listing are accurate. We visited several attractions near the home including Grandfather Mountain, the Alpine Coaster, and nearby App. State University. All were a short drive away and entertained all of us. We did have a good amount of rain during our stay but the game room kept all family members thoroughly entertained while we waited for the skies to clear. We stayed here to attend the race at Bristol Motor Speedway and it was a short trip from the property to the track. We did get rained out on Sunday and the owner was very kind and let us have a late check out on Monday so we didn't have to spend extra hours at the track before the race started. I highly recommend this property to fellow travelers. You will not be disappointed!
The ride up and down in the snow were a lot of fun but super sketchy in the snow. They do have someone regularly plowing the roads. Our biggest drawback is there’s only two parking spots and we had 3 cars. So one truck had to park up a rock on the side of the narrow road. But luckily we were able to do that. The house was clean and had lots of board games and movie choices. We enjoyed our stay!
This was used for four men on a golf weekend. There was good space for individual sleeping arrangements. The property was well maintained and clean. The downstairs game room proved very useful due to one afternoon of golf being rained out.
The house was perfect! Wonderful location and a great view. The owners were so helpful throughout the whole process!

Great location and cabin!
Everything about this cabin was as described. It’s close enough to large towns to be able to get groceries and go out to dinner-yet there were days at a time where we felt safely tucked into the side of the mountain without a care in the world. The home was clean and well equipped and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The house and neighborhood was especially fun for our five grand children to play and explore.
My husband and I spent almost two weeks in the house this summer with our five grand children. The pool table and TV downstairs were a hit as well as lots of woods outside to explore. The house was in excellent condition with lots of room, kitchen well stocked, nice linens and very comfortable. There was a lot to do in that area of NC such as Grandfather Mountain and the Linvile Caves.

Awesome cabin with great views.
Cabin was great! Clean, beds very comfortable, all amenities and more available. We enjoyed playing pool and fooseball and the view was spectacular. Owner responded to emails quickly and all questions answered.
Located between Boone and Banner Elk approx 10 min drive to both.
We enjoyed the hiking in the area, and sky valley zip lining, white water rafting & UTV tours. Best vacation ever!

Wow!
Again, wow! My friends and I had an absolute blast at this house this past weekend. The house was gorgeous, completely clean, and minimally furnished so as to avoid clutter. In addition to being warm and inviting, its location is perfect: not only is it tucked away in the woods, it also has epic mountain views. We spent a good chunk of our weekend outside on the deck, just soaking it all in. It was absolutely beautiful and as relaxing as any place I've ever stayed.
In addition to these traits, the house is also in a perfect location: we were able to get to Boone and Blowing Rock (two mountain towns that you won't want to leave!) in only 15 minutes. Both towns are worth the visit on their own.
Finally, the owner of the house, Patricia, was incredibly helpful. She always responded promptly to my HomeAway messages, and provided me with lots of info that helped make our weekend the perfect outing. She also laid out crystal clear instructions for how to do pretty much everything, and was very reasonable in her expectations for how we should leave the house.
Again, this place was perfect. This weekend was my first time hanging out in the mountains of western North Carolina, and thanks to Patricia and her house, my friends and I are already trying to organize our next stay at this charming hideaway perfectly nestled between Boone and Blowing Rock.
Can't wait!
