The Lone Star Cottage sets southeast of Austin in a quiet, serene country setting, excellent for walking and biking. There are two bedrooms with one full bathroom. A full kitchen opening onto a patio that looks out onto acreage and trees as far as the eye can see.

Cozy Cabin

The area is lovely. The pond was beautiful with the full harvest moon reflecting off the water. The house is small but functional for four. I had to give 4 stars because the water in the house is not drinkable and has an odor. We brought plenty of water to drink and make coffee but it would have been helpful to know before we arrived because you are not close to a store.

Beautiful Location

Beautiful, quaint, and clean property with comfy beds. Had a little trouble finding the key “by the door” in the dark and discovered it was inside the house behind the door. 😊 The front door was a little hard to open so we thought it was locked and almost called for help. Lights in the first bedroom did not work even after we changed bulbs. Everything else was good.

Great Spot for Round Top Antique Show

Great spot for a trip to the Round Top Antique Show. Just a little out of town. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful property. It is on a ranch and well off the main road. A couple of miles down a gravel road. The property and cottage were clean and well kept. The shower: it’s a little challenging. It’s small. Not normally an issue. But the water can’t spray straight for fear it would soak the floor outside of the shower. You have to angle it to the shower wall. This creates a situation where you really can’t not get wet. If you want to skip washing your hair, bring a heavy duty shower cap. And I honestly have no idea how you would shave your legs. I’m sure it’s possible, but our stay was short enough, I didn’t even attempt it. Even though the shower was an adventure, we would stay here again.

Cold a/c and hot shower!

We stayed here during a trip to Round Top antique weekend. The location was perfect, about 10-15 min away and very beautiful property. Beds were comfy and the a/c was cold!!

Nice Weekend Getaway

My friends and I rented this cottage for a weekend getaway to the Round Top Wine Fest. It was perfect for us! So cute, lots of space for everyone, and they had tons of snacks and refreshments ready for us. We all went exploring on a hike in the morning around the lake, gorgeous property. We will definitely stay here again!

Very cute and quiet cottage

Stayed at the Lonestar cottage for only one night to go to Round Top for the first time. Very charming. Was impressed by the variety of snacks and breakfast food provided. This property is way off the beaten path which we loved. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful property.
