Perfect Maine Retreat!
We loved our stay at the Round Pond Getaway! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Quiet and secluded, but just a short drive to the adorable Round Pond community. Hope to return someday!
The Getaway at Moxie Cove was just perfect for our family road trip. We had never been to Maine before and this was a great location. The house is beautiful and the yard was great for the kids to play. There was a lighthouse only 20 minutes away and the village of Round Pond was a quick 5 minutes away.
This cozy cottage was the perfect weekend getaway for our family! Our host provided the cutest welcome basket with tasty treats and morning coffee. The house is adorable and has just about everything you need! The yard is huge and was the perfect play area for some visiting nieces & nephews. The fire pit is great for late night s’mores. The location is ideal for quick trips around the area. 100% would recommend and hope to return again soon!
This house was very comfortable, clean and stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We had a welcome basket and Emily made it easy to reserve and check in. We had no problems. We enjoyed the big yard and sports and the screened porch for the rainy buggy days. We will be back. Thank you
Loved the location of this home. Close to Round Pond but off the beaten path. The house was so cute and spacious. We loved the beautiful kitchen which had everything we needed to cook meals. Plenty of dishes and glass ware. All kinds of charm at every corner. Books, beautiful artwork, games, washer and dryer. Was wonderful. Saw some deer and wild turkeys. When we visit again will definitely see if we can stay here again! Thank you!
This property is located within easy access to our wedding events in Nobleboro, South Bristol, and New Harbor. The house is comfortably well appointed with great kitchen supplies and even outer wear in case of inclement weather! It is also immaculately clean!❤️ I wanted to stay at the house to browse the generous book collections but with 4 events to attend over 4 days that was impossible.
Upon arrival, We were quickly getting ready for a family dinner and my sister locked herself outside when she went to the car to collect a bag. I couldn’t hear her knocking because I was upstairs in the bathroom with the fan on. May I suggest the owners install a doorbell?
My sister, an international traveler, started that this property is the best rental house she has ever stayed in!!
Book now!!
We just got home from a Maine trip during which we stayed at 2 different VRBO places. The first was pretty nice, a quaint little place in Portland. But the Round Pond Getaway was GREAT as far as we're concerned. Nice serene location, great home base for day trips.
VERY roomy inside and BIG table in kitchen corner with window seats around it that fit everyone for meals and for just hanging out all together. Big TV room offered good separation from kitchen and bedrooms upstairs for when diff. groups wanted to do diff. things or go to bed. Great porches outside (one side screened in and other sides open) were nice, especially if it rained. Good sized open spaces for kids to play outside on all 4 sides of the house (and separately when necessary!) House was very clean all around and has 3 bathrooms (2 upstairs, 1 in master bedroom). Checkin and checkout were as smooth as can be. We didn't have much contact with the owner/property manager. (Didn't need to.) But the communication we did have was excellent too. We recommend this place and will book it again if we return to Maine.
We loved our stay in Maine and at the Round Pond home. The house was well supplied, quiet, and very clean. We were a bit sad that the home wasn't as close to a beach as we had thought. We enjoyed the serenity of the location and the beautiful woods of Maine.
Home was very clean and has everything you need for your stay. Communications with owners was easy and complete. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.
Our group of friends really enjoyed our stay at this cozy and enjoyable home in the forest near Pemaquid Point. We definitely recommend this home for a stay in the area. Was immersed in the woods, but with reasonable access to the surrounding areas. Definitely stay here!
Everything was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were comfortable and the open deck as well as the screened in porch made for wonderful gatherings. There were five of us and there was plenty of room to be together or be alone if that's what you wanted.
We found the house just as nice or nicer than the description and photos represented. It's stylishly furnished and the cook of our household appreciated quality details like the All-Clad cookware and the granite countertops. Both of us took advantage of relaxing on the broad front porch and the screened-in porch, each with views of the active hummingbird feeders. Emily was incredibly responsive to the minor issues we encountered and resolved everything to our satisfaction. We ventured as far north as Camden and as far south as Bath on our day trips and were always glad to come back for the evening to such a comfortable location. One night we used the Adirondack chairs for stargazing--with a great view of the Milky Way overhead and maybe 20 shooting stars. The house was definitely one of the best parts of our Maine vacation this year.
If you are looking for a rental that has all the amenities of your home, but in Maine, then this listing is for you! It was an excellent location to explore all that Pemaquid has to offer. The Pemaquid lighthouse and beach were excellent locations to visit- we went to the beach three times! I highly recommend going to the Bristol Dam Swimming hole - we went every day. It is a great place to cool down and to wash the salt water off, and is right on the main road! Emily was very responsive when we had questions, and provided a lot of suggestions on what to see and do while in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Maine at Moxie Cove.
This property was perfect! The location was beautiful and it had everything one would need. All you need to do is show up with food and your personal items. My son was getting married at a venue close by so I rented this property for myself and some of my out-of-town family members. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed staying there. I would love to rent it again sometime when I can actually stay there and enjoy the many books, games, and fire pit. I did get a chance to enjoy having an early morning cup of coffee out on the beautiful screened in porch!

Most excellent for a peaceful getaway and relaxing rest!
Wonderfully quiet, so comfortably furnished. Way over and above amenities just like moving into your own home. Great library Kathleen went to happy land reading cookbooks (recipes to be enjoyed later like French meat pie), she also discovered my guidance for field striping a lobster was accurate and provided abundant morsels not just claw and tail! Home and Round Pond are an idyllic island of serenity in a frenzied world, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU EMILY for lending us you home! Dick and Kathleen. Reynoldsburg OH

This well-equipped and nicely maintained cottage was the perfect place for our family vacation!
This is the first place we've stayed in numerous trips to the area that truly had everything we needed! It was modern enough to have all of the conveniences and comforts of home, while still providing that special Maine feeling of getting away from it all. The location was perfect for easily reaching many attractions in the midcoast Maine area. For the money, you can't beat the Round Pond Getaway at Moxie Cove!

Beautiful home in a central location
The Round Pond Getaway is a beautiful and private home, located in a central location to several places we wanted to visit. It was perfectly stocked with everything we could've possibly needed, while being totally clutter free. Kudos to the housekeeper, because the one description that first comes to mind is CLEAN. You would be hard pressed to find a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. Owner was exceptionally communicative from the moment of reservation through our checkout date and even provided a digital map of local attractions. We plan on returning to Maine in 2020 and will most definitely stay again. Thank you!
