For our group of 12 on their way to Yellowstone, this property was a perfect fit. 8 teenage girls upstairs in the apartment and 4 adults in the main house was a great set up. There was plenty enough sleeping space for everyone. Three full bathrooms was more than adequate for getting everyone through showers and getting ready space. The kitchen was fully stocked and big enough for everyone to get through and prepare meals. If we ever travel in a big group like this again (or if you are), I would definitely take this property or one like it again. It definitely saved money for our trip by having us all together with the opportunity to manage meals instead of eating out. It was spacious, comfortable, and safe.
Not much communication was required, but all information needed to check in, check out, manage property and area amenities was clearly provided via emails and information in house. Great listing!
Grest property. Spacious, very clean, well supplied kitchen. Enjoyed our stay there. Property manager was very responsive in helping with the key box. Maybe info should include instructions that there should be a "click" after entering each number. Also was quick response to tv issue. Future visitors:
believe the advice about a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The many potholes on Timber Heights were still a bit of a surprise. It will lengthen time to get to Yellowstone. Overall, still a wonderful place to stay.
This cabin was even better than the pictures. Super clean, very well-stocked kitchen, loved the open floor plan, super comfortable beds, the hot tub was amazing.
45 minutes from west entrance of Yellowstone. Lots of natural beauty within 15-20 minutes of the cabin.
When looking for a place to stay close to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons we stumbled across this cabin in Island Park. Boy we are so happy we did.
The drive to Yellowstone is around 35 beautiful minutes and 2ish hours from Jackson Hole (Grand Tetons). The drive to these to parks is relaxing and not all grueling. Easy drives and literally 3 turns to get to west Yellowstone.
The cabin itself was very clean and larger than we thought. The beds were super comfy and honestly want to buy the same pillows and mattress we slept on in the Master bedroom. The hot tub was clean and worked perfectly for us after a long day of hiking.
The reason this property for us is a 5 star is listed all above but my personal favorite thing was the moose in the close area. We seen a total of 5 different Moose. 1 bull, 2 cow and 2 calfs. Absolutely incredible!!!
100% recommend this location
Beautiful place in the winter, loved the seclusion, loved the cabin! Fyi, it's a propane fireplace, not wood like somehow it got in our mind. Everyone loved the experience. For wintertime, come with 4 wheel drive and good tires! Property managers were great and very helpful!
Great cabin in the woods. Nice and roomy for large families. Hot tub added bonus especially as the weather cools off. There was some hair left in the shower drain in the upstairs bathroom but that was the only negative and was a quick fix.
This was a wonderful place to land back at in the evening for our family of 6. This had plenty of room, beds, and areas to relax. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, washer & dryer, satellite tv, and the hot tub. The home was very clean. The only issue was an odor I will address in a moment. There are two decks that were nice to use. This cabin is fairly secluded and makes you feel like you are close enough to town, with fairly little noise or neighbors.
The home cools off very nicely in the evenings by just opening windows. We did use one of the provided box fans one evening.
This place was a perfect retreat for our family and we would stay here again!
* The only issue that we had was a smell when we would enter the cabin. Opening windows helped air it out, but it was quite unpleasant. We tried air fresheners as well. It smelled like something rotting or dead. Maybe a small rodent that had died in a duct or wall or something?! We had some other family over one evening and they noticed it too. We couldn’t detect it upstairs.
Property was VERY well stocked with everything we may have needed and really clean. It feels secluded but was close enough to West Yellowstone park entrance.
We booked this as part of a multi-week summer road trip, and really enjoyed the quiet, secluded nature of this property! It was exactly as expected. The only (minor) issue was that the furnace wasn't working and nobody had told us... but we were able to use a backup plan of space heaters that we found in the closet. Great rental!
This cabin was perfect for our week exploring the nearby National parks. The large kitchen, hot tub and huge shower were relaxing and wonderful perks. Communication through the VRBO was easy and prompt. There are two ways to get into the property on road was much more eroded than the other. We would definitely stay here again!
We absolutely loved the cabin. The road to get in was filled with potholes so the first day was an little rough getting there until we learned to get around them. Its about 45 minutes to Yellowstone, but there were still a ton of things to do in the Island Park area. The cabin is stocked with everything you could need for your stay and we were definitely not disappointed.
Really enjoyed our stay. I didn't realize their is another rental on the property when I booked but it was vacant during our stay so it was very quiet. Everything was as described.

Fun little cabin
This is a lovely cabin in a great area. If you have a truck, bring it. Lots of positives- spacious! Hot tub is magic! Rooms are large! But a few negatives- We stay in quite a few homes away- and you can tell when it isn’t an individual vs a company. There was dried blood spots on the sheets and pillows- my girls were super grossed out. We did not notify the company of this at the time as it was 11pm and I forgot the ne t day. Until we were stripping the bed sheets and pillowcases 🤮🤮 there were no signs of soap or shampoo- which is a nice touch of a property owner and when you forget as a guest! There were someone’s dirty clothes in the dressers. And we left them there because ew. We think there’s a fire pit in the front but it was not clearly marked and we didn’t want to start a fire- couldn’t find matches or a lighter either. 🤷♀️ We had a great time on our getaway and my family loved the area. Don’t forget your essentials and bring food!
The cabin itself is beautiful and was very clean. The layout is a little odd for large groups as all of the bedrooms are upstairs and the guest bathroom is off of the kitchen. The location is about an hour drive to the Yellowstone West Entrance. Island Park is a very small town with very limited conveniences and food options. The main complaint my husband and I had was that we arrived to a 50° cabin and it literally took our entire 5 day trip for the cabin to warm up. We had to sleep in socks, long sleeves, etc to be remotely comfortable. We didn’t get to use the hot tub because we were so cold and this was disappointing because it’s one of the main reasons we chose this cabin. Upon leaving the instructions ask you to put the temperature back to 55° so we know it wasn’t a mistake. The fireplace was our saving grace as it was definitely working well and we sat next to it the entire time. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but will probably pick a place closer to the parks next time. If you do choose to stay here, be sure to have a SUV or larger vehicle as the gravel roads leading to the cabin are very poorly kept with large pot holes.
