This charming property has it all with the amenities available in the Barefoot Cottage community and is conveniently located to public beach access and the convenience of all the local dining and shopping in downtown Port St. Joe.!

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The Master Bedroom has a King Bed and en suite bathroom with a flat screen TV. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed with flat screen TV and a bathroom just steps away. The Living Room has a Queen Sleeper Sofa and flat screen TV.

Bright colored walls and nautical decor perfectly capture the essence of the coastal surroundings in this 1,200-square-foot townhome. With amenities such as wireless internet connection and in-unit laundry machines, "Sandy Toes" guarantees a relaxing and worry-free vacation.

The cottage is Pet Friendly with lots of outdoor space to enjoy the beauty of the Forgotten Coast. The home has two large screened decks with seating to enjoy some morning coffee or a good book.

Enjoy the open-concept living area where you can stay connected with your family in the kitchen, dining or living room. The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to handle the simplest of meals or a lavish dinner. Have a quick lunch at 4-person kitchen bar or sit down at the spacious dining table for 6. Either way you'll have plenty of room to dine while your fellow guests stay entertained with their favorite shows on the flat-screen cable TV. In the morning, ample plush furnishings, both inside and out, allow everyone to sip their coffee in comfort and enjoy the beautiful views.

The best part of the home, aside from the comfortable decor and community amenities, is all the comfortable outdoor spaces that will allow you to comfortably enjoy the beauty of the Forgotten Coast.

HOW ABOUT THE LOCATION?

"Sandy Toes" is conveniently located to downtown Port St. Joe and less than a mile from the public beach at Windmark Beach, which has well-kept restroom facilities.

"Sandy Toes" is only 3 miles to Downtown Port St. Joe. Shop 'til you drop at the numerous charming boutiques in historic downtown Port Saint Joe. Visit the lighthouse and dine at local restaurants.

Soak up some sun on the beach at Cape San Blas, Windmark Beach, Saint Joe Beach, or Mexico Beach. Walk along the shoreline and collect all kinds of shells or ride your bike along the scenic bike paths of Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach. You can fish off the pier or charter a boat for snorkeling or a fishing trip. There are so many activities to get involved in, including horseback riding on the beach, jet skis, scalloping, snorkeling and so much more - not to mention several festivals throughout the year.

Want some adventure? Try snorkeling, scalloping, fishing or kayaking in St. Joseph Bay. There are also many charters available including sunset tours, inshore fishing and offshore fishing.

A little slice of paradise…

This was exactly what we needed…a little slice of paradise in paradise! This location was perfect. We could go to the beach or the pool- in a matter of minutes. We love Port St. Joe and plan to return very soon! If possible, we will book this location again!

Cozy cottage

This was a very cute and cozy cottage. It was easy to book, and locate. However, once we got there we had the wrong gate code. Being that it was after business hours it took a little time to get in touch with someone. So I would suggest verifying the codes before arriving and during business hours. Overall we had a great experience.

Enjoyed the Saints of Old Florida

Lovely & clean home, convenient to several nice beaches & Port St Joe community. I should have reviewed map more closely to find a home away from street noise, however, as I value quiet outdoor space. Very well equipped kitchen although the coffee maker leaked (could be used error?). Outdoor furniture could use an upgrade for comfort but it was adequate. Loved being so close to the quiet pool area. The beds were very comfortable! We loved our stay overall and used the convenient location to explore from Panama City to Appalachicola.

Time to unwind

Sandy Toes and SeaStay Vacation Rentals were both terrific. Sandy Toes is at the far end of Barefoot Cottages and so not as crowded as other units nearby. Also, the smaller pool is close by, and we never encountered another person there. Sandy Toes is very clean and accommodates either 2 couples or a family. Will definitely return.

A little bit of a rough start but recovered quickly. Owner very responsive. House was clean with nice amenities. Master bedroom was a tad too small for the king bed squeezed in there. Community very pet friendly with nice places to walk. Public beach access very close for Windmark and Mexico Beach.

Bad communication/not worth the money

First off the commutation was awful! The listing is through Airbnb...however after emailing a total of 4-5x we got no communication through Airbnb. No check in info..no check out info... I had to call to finally get my info. Thank god we rent enough to know what most expect at check out! Check Out instructions came through at 9:10am and check out was at 10am! This rental is extremely pricy for what you get! We had friends in another house which was 3 bedrooms and professionally decorated for hundreds less. The blinds were busted and chewed by previous dogs and one of our hand towels had a big whole that took up about half of it. Normally I wouldn't care much,however, for the price I paid I expected none of this. It was the most expensive place I ever stayed but the most cosmetic issues. Sadly I won't be leaving a good review or going back. It is my one time where I can't say it wasnt great. Hope they really strive to work on the communication and the house.

Nice getaway

This property was comfortable and well equipped with kitchen items. The screened in porches were a nice addition. The road traffic could be heard quite a bit in the early morning, but overall a very charming place to stay.

Great getaway

The rental process was simple. The house is beautiful and cozy. We felt at home. My pets loved the enclosed porch as much as we did. The kitchen had all necessary utensils and gadgets to dine-in which we love to do. The beach just a few blocks down was fabulous and dog friendly. Owners were good at keeping their dog’s on the leash. We would visit again for sure!

Disapointed

Where to start. Upon arriving at the location, we had no trouble with the provided information to enter the cottage. The kitchen area near the refrigerator smelled like dead fish and upon opening the freezer, it the smell was even more horrific. After getting unloaded, we decided to make a pot of coffee. There was brewed coffee left in the maker and the cord had been rolled up to indicate the maker was ready to use along with the coffee filter and grounds. Very disgusting. As luggage was taken upstairs, it was obvious, either rooms had been dusted in quit awhile. Two remotes (down stairs living area, upstairs, king size bed room) didn't work. We purchased new batteries, and still the remotes didn't work property. Only 4 towels and 4 wash cloths to be shared with 6 people. Luckily, we brought some of our own. There was food left in the cabinets above the microwave. Upon looking to see if the rental had a cookie sheet, the corner cabinet door was broke at the bottom hinge. The towel bar in the king side bedroom shower was broke and left "hanging" to appear to be nothing wrong with it. The worse of it... was when we went to pull the hide-abed out.... the right side of the bed frame was broke and not attached to the wooden frame and unable to pull it out to make bed.. not to mention, trying to put it back into place with a bent metal frame. Two members of the our party left, after trying to sleep on the floor for two night. The third night, the queen size bedroom bath room had ants crawling on the counter, luckily, there was bug spray under the kitchen sink. I made 5 attempts to contact someone through email with attached photos of these issues and never got a response back. We never did find a hot tub in the area of which the cottage was located. What was to be a very pleasant relaxing vacation with family, turned into an over priced uncomfortable camping trip. The two stars instead of one, the people we spoke with in town, where very friendly and helpful with providing information on the best beach locations and local places to eat.

Very comfortable cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage! We loved the decor and all of the comfortable seating areas. The two balconies were great for our morning coffee and evening cocktails. We also liked that this cottage is tucked back at the end of the group of cottages, to give a little more privacy. We also liked that there were TVs in each of the bedrooms and the living room, with a lot of options for various family members. The kitchen was mostly stocked and very clean. The property manager was very responsive to needs. We love staying at Barefoot Cottages! Very clean cottage. Nice pools. Charming setting. Great for families. We would love to come back here again sometime.
