2 Bedroom / 2 bath Cabin - Moreno's Cottages Celebrating 100 years!
Our cottages are clean and well kept. Situated on 3 acres, surrounded by forever wild state land- hike Scarface Mountain right from your door! Adjacent to the new ADK Rail Trail recently opened to biking, running, walking, skiing, snowmobiles and more. We offer free wi-fi, ,bonfire fire pits, picnic tables and grills. Conveniently located between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Come see why our guests have returned year after year since 1923! Open May - October. Sorry, no pets.
The space:
Cottage #4 has a queen bed in each of the 2 bedrooms and a love seat sized sofa bed. It also has a full kitchen with pots pans and dinnerware, as well as, 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms have stand up showers. Sleeps up to 5 people. There is solid wifi throughout the property, and we offer TV with Hulu, Disney and ESPN+ channels.
We are a family business that takes pride in our property. We keep our cabins CLEAN and well maintained. We are only 5 minutes in either direction from Lake Placid and Saranac lake. Located right off highway 86 past the Maplefields, but our property is quiet and peaceful. Walk to Maplefields for food and beverage, Ray Brook Brewing Company, Tail O' the Pup outdoor barbecue, the ADK Rail Trail, Jack Rabbit Trail. A short drive to Lake Flower, the Saranac Lake chain, Oseetah and Kiwassa lakes, water sports, Olympic attractions, Whiteface Mountain and all that the region has to offer.
Guest access:
We have free Wifi with access point in each cabin throughout the property. There are charcoal grills for each cabin, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, fire pits, and horseshoes all free for our guests to use. We sell firewood on the property as well. Parking is plentiful and free. There is a gas station in walking distance that carries groceries, sandwiches, beer, ice , etc.
History of the Property:
Moreno's cottages was founded by Tessie and Tony Moreno in1923. Uncle Tony built this property by hand over the years and Aunt Tessie ran the business with discipline and hard work. The Drake family, with 2 parents and 4 teenage children, is the newest owner of this historic vacation destination since 2021. Todd & Leigh work constantly to make changes or additions to the property to make our guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Our traditional, woodsy cabins have never been "out of style", and today, offer a unique setting loved by young and old alike! Growing up enjoying properties like this one with our family, we have always wanted to offer the same to other families. We work side by side with our children to deliver the best possible experience to our guests. Todd & Leigh have four children who also work with the family business, and love the outdoors all four seasons of the year! We are tucked away in the tall pines at the edge of the Adirondack Wild Forest, a old-world camp style cabin property rarely found today! The cottages have been refurbished and modernized from the original 1920's construction, but still maintain the rustic Adirondack feel. It is a quiet, camp like setting perfect for launching local outdoor adventures, access to two villages with world-class restaurants, shopping and Olympic attractions, and relaxing with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle.
