This is a good spot but you need to plan your trip around the weather as there isn't a sand bar or beach with in walking distance so if the water is rough swimming is out.
I had the pleasure of spending Spring Break with my teenage son and two of his friends. It was a perfect location for days of fishing and relaxation. The accommodations were nothing short of perfect, and the owners were more than helpful. The highlight of our stay was definitely the fishing. The boy had been talking and planning to go to Lake Livingston for month with the hope of catching a huge Alligator Gar, and they were not disappointed when they reeled in 74 inch one weighing it at 70lbs. It is a memory that they will cherish forever. Overall, I highly recommend the lake house for anyone looking to escape and enjoy quality time with friends and family, We will definitely be coming back.
We had an AMAZING time and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go relax on the water and fish. We are already planning another trip here. The host is very accommodating and very responsive. Great place to stay we cannot wait to go back!!!
This was the perfect place for a weekend get away. We loved the house and the neighborhood! Very quiet and relaxing. The house was very clean and we enjoyed being very close to the lake. We would definitely go back.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The area was super peaceful and the house had everything we needed. The dock was a great fishing spot and we enjoyed a fire both evenings.
We have not spent time in this part of Texas and thought it would be nice to do so. The owners were easy to contact and responded quickly. The view of the lake is lovely. It is in a quiet neighborhood and was very peaceful, just what we needed.
Come here if you want to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet . The owners are very nice and friendly. The property is nice and the rental is as listed , and has a homely atmosphere. We enjoyed fishing off the bulkhead and even caught some fish. We plan to return again in the spring.
Overall, my son and I had a great weekend. The house was clean, neat and well organized. We found all the necessities we needed. Outside, the well groomed yard added to the view of the lake - which was in itself captivating. We fished, watched the ducks and eagles, enjoyed a campfire after dark, and had a great time. No regrets on this trip.
The lake was abundant. The yard was very large with great dock and fishing holders. Wonderful large porch to enjoy view from house. Awesome tree swing. Enjoyed watching squirrels in trees? Flocks of birds, caught a few catfish. Nite fires were great. House was very stocked on cooking comforts and I believe they stocked all amenities well. Beds were comfy, 2 of them faced the lake with views. It is an older home so quaint. I definitely would go back.
Went with family and had a wonderful vacation here! The house was equipped with basically everything we needed. I now know not to pack so much next time and that will cut my pre-trip packing time in half. :) The house was clean and well maintained. High speed Internet TV was non glitchy and great! The boat dock was well lit for night fishing. Matter of fact, the entire property had flood lights so that we never had to light up a single lantern. We launched our paddle boat at their community boat launch. The entire property is on a steep slope so if you have mobility issues be very careful. I think I lost 10 pounds going up and down from the house to the dock which is good for me because I definately needed the exercise! Haha! They have a huge round swing hanging from their tree that my kids loved so much that I just ordered one from Amazon for our own tree at home! Charles (the owner next door) was awesome in helping us the entire time including the use of their fish cleaning station on their personal dock so that we could clean and filet our fresh caught catfish each night. They have 2 ladders and a swing rope on the dock. My teens loved swimming back and forth from the boat launch to the dock. This place was an excellent experience! We will definately be back! Thank you Charles and Phyllis for sharing your piece of heaven with us! ❤️
We had a great time just being by the water and seeing a storm come through. Would have liked to kayak but weather didn't permit. Pictures don't do the view justice.
Charles was very friendly and great to rent from. I brought a boat and he met us at the entrance to guide me to the boat ramp. He even provided some pointers on where and what to fish for this time of the year. The kids had a blast swimming and catching fish right from the property. The home was clean, precisely as pictured and very comfortable. It was a great experience.
Our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, well stocked and the owner Charles who lives next door came out and greeted us ! Very friendly 🙂. We didn’t have much luck catching fish but then again we’re not the most experienced either. 😬
