Noras Yosemite Retreat II

Take in the beauty of Mariposa Pines this is a quite, warm and friendly mountain community located in the Sierra National Forest. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax surrounded by beautiful tree's and nature. Close to hiking. This spacious 1,250 sq. ft. home is the perfect location for couples, family or groups spending time relaxing and recharging for your next spectacular day taking in the sites and enjoying Yosemite Park. a hour drive ( 40 miles) from Nora's Yosemite retreat II along the Merced river canyon on scenic Hwy 140 and just 20 minutes (16 miles ) from historic town of Mariposa where you can enjoy antique shopping, restaurants and a large grocery store with deli, bakery and pharmacy. And if you find time visit our Mining Museum and Mineral Museum.
Plenty of room in front of house for parking up to 3 cars. Large deck surrounds front of house with table and chairs, great for sitting out under the tree's visiting with family and friends or even having dinner.
Nora's Yosemite Retreat II sleeps 8 people comfortably. Recently remodeled this is a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath and game room. Open living room to dining room and fully equipped kitchen that includes refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dish washer, microwave, toaster and coffee pot ( coffee included ) stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glass ware, everything you need to feed your family and friends. Dinning room seats 6 people ( extra chairs available )
Living room has flat screen TV large selection of DVD's couch and love seat, wood burning stove (wood available ) Sliding glass door leads to another spacious deck in back of house with propane BBQ, table and chairs.
All bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds. Plus there are two twin size roll away beds if you need to sleep 8 people, Master bedroom has 1/2 bath. Full bathroom has step in tub and shower. Separate laundry room has full size washer and dryer.

Feel at home

Very Quite and Comfortable

We had a 2 families. The property served its purpose well, which was just a place to sleep between hikes in Yosemite. The lower price was well worth the hour drive to the park. We did stay during a heat wave, and there is no air conditioner so be aware of that. The only other suggestion for the owner is a couple of bigger pots for serving larger groups of people. thank you for letting us stay in your home! Cheers

Decent visit

Great place, out in the middle of no where if you are interested no neighbors. Good communication with the owners. We had an error in our checkout date and the owners were understanding and helped with our cause.

Fantastic family spot

Perfect family vacation. Only had 2 days wish it was more. Full size stove, washer/dryer, table for all to sit around and even a game room!! Very nice house to enjoy

Amazing retreat!

We stayed at Nora's for 4 nights in June, and it was nothing short of amazing! The house had everything we needed, plus a couple of extra things like coffee :) location is a bit far from the valley but the drive was gorgeous and given the location, it's very secluded. Highly highly recommend for groups (we had 6 people) as there are many options for sleeping arrangements. Overall fantastic trip and Nora made it seamless and easy to check in and have a comfy house to come back to every night.

Relaxation Destination

This house had evrything and more that our family needed to make our stay comfortable. It was child safe. We have stayed at MANY vacay homes and this one had no overwhelming house rules and had all the information we needed for our trip to Yosemite.Very inviting beautiful town.Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Nice house and well stocked

Refreshing to stay in a VRBO that feels like someone's actual vacation home. Thank you! Be aware that recent fires have left much of the immediate area burned out and the roads pretty torn up as it looks like they are burying the power lines.

Weekend at Yosemite

Experience was great overall. Owner was very responsive and clear in communication. Checkin was easy. Note there is no cell phone service at the location but there is WiFi once you get inside and connect. Place was nice and neat and has a good kitchen and outdoor bbq to cook food you brought. Only issue was it took about 1 hr to Yosemite Arch rock - west gate. We were late to decide a trip, so this place was a good choice. Was away from things and very quiet at night. Would suggest to friends.

Great Cabin near Yosemite - FAMILY Friendly

Super easy to find and get into the lockbox. The whole cabin is set up for anything that you need, comes with a kids playroom! What else can you ask for! Rooms are spacious and the kids were so entertained with the gameroom they didn't make a mess anywhere else LOL. Backyard was roomy enough for us to watch the stars at night. Would definitely come back again!

The house was extremely clean and the most well stocked rental I’ve ever stayed in. The owners kept high quality items on hand such as paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. Everything was name brand and in more than adequate supply. The house was extremely clean and well organized. We didn’t need the roll away beds and they were never in the way. Even when it got to 104 degrees, the house was cool at night. The owners were easy to deal with and very friendly and accessible.

Great place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Nora's Getaway! It was well stocked with towels, clean sheets, and plenty of kitchen amenities (including Mariposa coffee beans and a grinder to make your own fresh coffee in the morning (yum). It's about 45-60 min from Yosemite, but a beautiful drive all the way. Recommend!

Awesome Place

Very nice place and plenty of room. The home was very spacious and clean. Our three boys had their own bedroom and bed and space to do their own thing. We would definitely stay here again on our visit to Yosemite!

Great house for families

We stayed at the house for 5 night and it worked great, plenty of beds, kitchen with everything you need to cook and equal distance to two of the Yosemite entrances. Nora was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

Wonderful stay at Nora's Yosemite Retreat

We truly enjoyed this wonderful "house in the woods" during our hiking adventures at Yosemite Valley. This lovely property had everything we needed (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, towels, etc.) for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The woods, majestic trees, the variety of different birds along with the huge outdoor deck and back patio from which to experience all of these delights made us wish we could have had an additional day to simply enjoy this beautiful escape. Nora was a wonderful host, easy to contact and very responsive. You will truly enjoy this property !!

Amazing place

The place was amazing. Love the amount of amenities at the place. I can pick any utensils needed in the kitchen. Love that each bedrooms were spacious. The place was clean. Enjoy the porch to see the stars. If I ever go back to Yosemite (an hour drive) I would stay at this place again.
