This two-storey, five bedroom century home is centrally located in the heart of the city of Summerside fronting on Bedeque Bay. Beautiful Waterfront view from back deck and enclosed sunroom on the second floor. Property connects to the Bay walk trail system which extends along the city's waterfront for 6.5 kilometers. Main floor includes a fully equipped modern kitchen including dishwasher, sunroom, separate dining room, living room and bathroom. Spacious upstairs with five bedrooms with queen sized beds and bathroom. Two of the adjacent bedrooms share sunroom with spectacular water view. Fantastic renovated large attic with queen bed.
Summerside is the Island’s second-largest city and has all the amenities you’d expect. Harbourfront Theatre attracts world-class entertainers and plays host to many great festivals and events. A lively boardwalk allows visitors to shop and dine beside the ocean and just down the way at the College of Piping, performers show off the Island’s Celtic roots with energetic displays of dancing, piping and drumming.
This home is walking distance to Yacht Club, Harbourfront Theatre, College of Piping grocery/liquor store, golfing, The Shipyard market etc. Located approx, 30 minutes from Cavendish and Charlottetown. Booking now for weekly rentals.

Beautiful View

5 of our employees stayed at the house for a work event nearby. House was perfect, beautiful view to unwind after a days work, lots of space and located close to many restaurants. No complaints!

Summerside home

Overall, the house met our needs and was clean. The backyard was great with the fire pit and great view. It would be great if the downstairs had more ventilation like the ability to open more windows.

Lovely House in a Convenient Location

Our family enjoyed our stay in this large, comfortable, and beautiful home. We loved being right on the boardwalk--we walked everywhere we went in town--and enjoyed the water views, especially from the upstairs sunroom. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. If you are staying in the near future, be aware that the construction site next door gets going (loudly) at 7 am--that worked for us because our kids get us up then anyway, but it might not be for everyone. We'd definitely stay here again!

Charming Old Style House

Gladys and Jordan are amazing to work with! This charming character home worked perfectly for 12 adults! It is close to all amenities and the ocean is in your backyard! The history of the house fun to read about also. I would love to come back in the summer to take full advantage of Summerside when it's warm out!

Summerside stay

The pictures of the house are true to the profile. The location was good with a nice view out the back with a deck and fire pit. The front is facing a busy road with a construction lot on one side and an empty lot then a gas station on the other side. It is close to and within walking distance of some restaurants and a liquor store. It is an old house that is in need of some repairs. But over all we had a good stay. Very responsive and welcoming owners/manager.

Fantastic location but house needs updating

The location of the house is fantastic. It is in the heart in Summerside, right along the boardwalk. It is in more of a commercial area, but there is still lots of privacy, and it is very centrally located. Gladys is very easy to deal with, and was very responsive. The hosts are very friendly, they even dropped off paddle boards for us to use during our stay. The house was fairly well cleaned. It is a century home with older windows and a lot of the windows on the second level are painted shut, and cannot be opened, additional air conditioning units located on the second level would be a great addition to the property and would add to the comfort of the stay. The biggest downside of the property are the sleeping accommodations, specifically the mattresses. All of the mattresses are fairly old, and very worn. The room I slept in, had broken springs in the mattress. All in all, it is a very nice property with nice common areas, great ocean views, and close proximity to the downtown core, however great the positives are of the property, I would not stay here when visiting Summerside again due to the quality of the sleeping accommodations.

Weekend Getaway

Gladys was quick to respond to our questions both before and during our stay. We were there during a heat wave so it was understandably a bit warm. We appreciated that Gladys promptly sent her son over to fix the portable air conditioning unit when it had an issue. Unfortunately the ceiling fan in the living room wasn't able to be fixed during our stay. We opted not to use the attic bedroom during our stay, as the heat created condensation on the ceiling that dripped into the room. It would have been nice to be able to open more windows, especially on the second floor. Overall the home was lovely and clean, and seemed fairly well maintained. It was nice to have a full kitchen with all the basics provided, as well as a washer/dryer. We enjoyed the beautiful view out the back, and having furniture out back to sit in and enjoy! We did have an issue with finding some mouse droppings but with an older house that is not too surprising. Gladys assured us they would take care of that as soon as possible! The home is in an industrial area which was not clear from the description. Check in and check out were simple, but it would've been helpful for them to reach out to us a day or two before to give us the details rather than waiting for us to reach out to them. We enjoyed our stay overall, but would recommend if you are there in the heat you may want to bring some extra fans for the bedrooms! The home met our needs overall and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

La maison est grande. Peut bien faire pour deux familles. Localisation centrale pour visiter l’île, l’accès direct au chemin aménagé sur le bord de l’eau est très agréable. Propriétaire très gentil.

Convenient and with great views

Gladys was an absolute pleasure to meet and was responsive to our questions prior to our trip and gave us a walk through on check in along with great suggestions on where we could go clamming. It’s an older house with shabby chic vibe that needs a few updates. We could walk to Tim Hortons for morning coffees and all the big box stores are minutes away. Spacious to comfortably accommodate 2 families with enough towels for everyone. Washer dryer was convenient. The views of the bay off the back patio and sunrooms and access to the boardwalk were beautiful. High speed Internet and netflix were a pleasant surprise to unwind after exploring the island. The kitchen is okay if you are not planning to make dinners. It has a coffee maker, ninja blender, toaster and slow cooker available but some essentials needed updating.

Pur bonheur

La maison est située à quelques pas du quai. La rue Water est passante et bruyante tôt le matin. Nous avons fait quatre de nos repas en achetant des fruits de mer frais au marché de poisson. L’île offre une telle quantité de paysages merveilleux que nous allons sûrement y retourner. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour. Seul hic dans la maison: le manque de lumière dans les pièces du salon et de la salle à manger.

Comfortable century home with all amenities.

The house is perfect for 2 families with a ton of space providing privacy as well as coziness. The kids enjoy access to the beach to watch the tides come in and go out. The location is centrally located allowing island excursions during the day and restful nights. Gladys was very open in communication and pleasant to speak with over the phone, adding to the PEI charm. :).

Perfect for a large group!

We stayed here as 5 adults and 4 kids and it was the perfect amount of space and more. The location was epic with a beautiful view to the water and a short walk to artisans, music, and food. Gladys was an incredible host and worked hard to make our stay comfortable with high standards! I would definitely come here again!

Girl's Week on Prince Edward Island

This property was a great place for the of us to spend a week exploring the Island. From our friendly welcome by Gladys and Joe to suggestions for places to visit and things to do, we immediately felt like we belonged to the unique culture that is PEI. The house had beautiful bedrooms for each of us with bathrooms on both floors. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, a well-equiped kitchen and a washer and dryer (if we needed it) were all there. A balcony, two porches and a firepit gave us options to enjoy the view of the waters of Bedeque Bay. The location was well-suited for our island explorations and we enjoyed the historical things that Summerside had to offer. All of us will have happy memories of our time in this great house.

The house is very spacious. We were a group of 8 and were very comfortable.

A lovely century home with plenty of space for a group of 8 or more. All of the comforts of home with a gorgeous view from the sunroom and back deck. Great location if you want to be in an urban setting. Lots within walking distance.

Very lovely older house with great character and charm.

House was lovely and charming with the old PEI feel. We were centrally located to all PEI touristy things which is what we wanted. Gladys was there to meet us and walk us through on arrival and was very quick in answering any questions we had. There was 7 of us and we all had our own space and never felt crowded. Would definitely recommend if coming to the Summerside area.

Spacious, clean and unique!

The home was perfect however, there was no access to the beach. It was on the main road so very busy traffic, which was not stated in the ad. Lawn was scheduled to be mowed during my stay which was a lack of privacy.
