The view was spectacular!

We had a wonderful 6 week stay at Aripeka Key. The views from the front deck of the house were absolutely spectacular! A couple of times we had a manatee swim through in the canal right out front. Almost every day we could see dolphins feeding or just going for a swim in the inlet in front of the house. Heather was wonderful to deal with. We had a couple of small issues, she responded promptly and solved the problem. The beds were very comfortable. The living room comfortable. The steps up to the house are no joke, especially on move in day, but all the other day they helped me get my “steps” in . We did bring a boat with us, it took us a good week to learn the tides and more importantly how to secure the boat in the water. The concrete dock is not really a good place to dock the boat, not with the tides. We used the nice white sand right next to the concrete to “beach” it. Depending on the tides, low tide could result in almost no water in the canal. You definitely live by the tides if you are planning on bringing a boat. The fishing was great, the back waters were great, saw lots of wildlife while fishing the canals. We had manatees come right up to the boat. It was absolutely a wonderful 6 weeks for us. The house is nicely equipped and very welcoming.

Excellent getaway

We enjoyed your home immensely. It had everything we needed. When I had a question, your response was very quick and I appreciated that. There are many wonderful things to do around your area and believe me when I say.. we hit most of them in our 4 week stay. 😊 Very much enjoyed the Nature Coast. Thanks again.

Perfect

Absolutely perfect place to stay! The home was very clean and well stocked with essentials. Our host was wonderful and responsive to any questions or needs that came up. You won’t want to stay inside at all! The porch has the most beautiful view and spectacular sunsets! We kayaked and fished, seeing dolphins, otter, manatee, and many different birds! Aripeka is a sweet little community but only minutes from shopping and entertainment. There are two Preserves nearby with great walking trails. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return soon! Five stars and highly recommended !!

The Memories will last forever

This the second time we have reserved this rental. If you have teens that love to fish and love nature and the outdoors…This is the place. I love that I can see my teens from the balcony, when they are all go-go-go and I can relax knowing I can see wherever they are in the bay… I seem to have great quality time with them with out the hustle bustle juggling work and school. We have definitely made some good memories, and that fact that we can bring the family pet along, is just icing on the cake…Our first trip their the kids found a couple sunken boats, they felt like the Pouges on the movie OuterBanks, this trip they found and island to camp on… can’t wait for our next adventure….

Incredible Views, Great Host!

The house is comfortably furnished, and offers stunning views of the Gulf, sunsets, and mangrove-fringed saltmarshes that teem with wildlife. We were entranced by the manatees basking in the warm spring that bubbles up in the Gulf, dolphins frolicking in the shallows, the birds... If you're able to pry yourself away from the views, you'll discover that you're in a great position to access the attractions of "The Nature Coast" and the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater/Tarpon Springs metro areas. We enjoyed visiting the barrier islands, beaches, museums, gardens, restaurants... Also, the house is convenient to many provisioning options such as Publix, Wal-Mart, the local farmer's market... This is a special place with a gracious host. Thank you, Heather, for sharing it with us!

Practically perfect in every way

This place is exactly as pictured, plus clean and well stocked with towels, paper products, cooking utensils - even games and books! We headed to the nearby Publix the first day to get groceries and we could pick up anything we forgot at Norfleet's, which was an easy stroll down the road. Maybe the one thing that was a surprise was that the view was far better than the pictures lead you to believe - the bay is closer, the water crystal clear, and the sunsets amazing! Despite the cool temps (coldest Christmas in 30 years while we were there) we got out on the kayaks (you must do this) and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and the nearby nature preserves. We recommend the mermaid show at Weeki Wachee (not as hokey as you might think), and this time of year the manatees were everywhere. While it was a bit chilly to spend much time on the porch, the big windows allowed us to enjoy the sunsets from inside while we savored family time and delicious meals. The host, Heather, was accessible but inobtrusive and we had no need to bother her. This place was perfect for our needs, which was to spend time together and enjoy nature. If you are looking for beaches and high rises, this won't be for you, but if you want to getaway from the city and unwind, you can't beat The Point at Aripeka!

Made the best memories.

Memories to cherish a lifetime. Had the best time.. our teen boys found an old ship wreck, I caught a beautiful sunset, and had dolphins come up to my kayak, and the boys caught a snook… hoping to make this a tradition next year

Nature Coast getaway from the fray

We had a lovely few days at the Point, a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life that hit the spot! Stunning view overlooking the mangrove islets in the bay, a sweet kayaking paddle. Definitely hike the sandhills trails of Weeki Wachee Preserve, and check out the hidden gem of the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens in Spring Hill. And thanks to Heather, our excellent host for providing us this opportunity to get away from the fray!

Staying in Old Florida

The beach house is on a beautiful marsh with lovely morning sun. The area is quiet which is great for relaxing. There were many restaurants a d activities within an hour drive. The owner Heather was very responsive to our questions . We enjoyed the wildlife. Bridge fishing is a short walk up the road. Great place and great host.
