PROXIMITY ACTIVITIES:

This charming house is located 5 km from the village of Salignac-Eyvigues, 20 km from Sarlat, splendid medieval capital, 20 km from Terrasson La Villedieu, 30 km from Brive and the A20 motorway, 16 km from Montignac (don't miss the visit from the famous replica of LASCAUX!).
Besides Sarlat, you can admire the Jardins du Manoir d'Eyrignac, the Jardins de Cadiot,
but also most of the major sites in our beautiful region: Beynac, Château de Puymartin.
Its proximity to Sarlat will also facilitate the practice of the various leisure activities offered.
If you want to continue your discoveries, you can also set off to cross
the Quercy (Rocamadour, Padirac and its abyss…) and the Corrèze (Brive, Turenne…) which border our Dordogne.
You are therefore ideally placed to shine on major sites, or take the time to live
simply by looking at the very clear view from the house.

We loved this beautiful place!

What a wonderful find! A beautiful house in a delightful rural area. We were a party of nine (two families with children age 7, 9, 11, 14 and 21). It couldn't have been more perfect for us. The house is very big with four large bedrooms and each bedroom has an en suite which is fantastic. The living areas were very comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was also fabulous and well equipped. The grounds are spectacular. Very well cared for with beautiful landscaping and as for the pool... amazing! It is very large so lots of room for everyone to splash and have fun. Also there is a lot of space around it for lounging. The local area is stunning. The nearest town has everything you need including a small intermarche and there is a bigger one approx. 30 mins away. There are lots of lovely places to visit and there are also many nearby companies to hire canoes. We would highly recommend this house. Dominique and Eric are wonderful. So helpful in the run up and extremely welcoming when we arrived. They obviously have a huge amount of pride in their home and they should as it is so lovely and cared for. We have stayed in many rented houses in France but never have we stayed anywhere so clean. The kitchen, bedrooms, living areas and outside were spotless. Dominique was up early every morning ensuring the pool was clean before we all woke up! Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. We will be back!

Lovely house with great pool

We enjoyed our sojourn in Dominique’s lovely house. The location is tranquil. The nearby town of Salignac is friendly and laid back. We liked the vibe of the place. The pool was fantastic. We had a great time in it. It’s large and fun for all ages. It was cleaned daily. The house itself was also really clean. Dominique, a charming host, was on hand to answer all our questions.

Fabulous holiday

It all went perfectly. We arrived at the location a little unsure of where to go but a friendly smile and wave was spotted and we were directed to the large and magnificent barn conversion, built of the honey coloured local stone but with many modern touches. The property was very clean and very well equipped (all we couldn’t find was a jug for carrying larger quantities of water)! The grounds were well kept and there was lots of space for our children to play - either on the table tennis table or to cycle their bikes around. The property is in a quiet and beautiful rural setting which needs a little car trip or pedal for provisions in nearby Salignac which has all one needs. A small town away from the main tourist honey traps (but still close enough)with a nice square and bar/restaurant, weekly market and local historical festivals and a historic area and castle that has an untouched feel (long may that remain the case!). There was also an excellent shop selling all sorts of local produce. Back to the property and the fabulous pool that was cleaned each day and a great area and facility for the family to be in every day during the hot weather we had during our fortnight stay. It was a truly great holiday. Communication with the owner was easy with some basic French from us and better English from Dominque, always with a ‘translate’ app to fall back on. Dominque and Eric were so kind and friendly we would not hesitate to recommend this property to have a lazy holiday or to use as a base to explore the surrounding area where is so much to do and see.

Excellent Séjour

La Borie est spacieuse, parfaitement entretenue et très bien équipée pour un séjour en famille. La très grande piscine chauffée a été très appréciée cet été où les températures étaient plus fraiches. La localisation est idéale pour rayonner dans la région et découvrir les nombreux sites du Périgord. Un grand merci à Dominique et son mari pour l'accueil et leur gentillesse.

Le Périgord nord est très joli beaucoup de choses à faire et de la chaleur !!

Au Pays du bon vivre !

Bonjour et merci pour votre accueil durant notre séjour. Etat impeccable de la maison et grand confort des parties communes mais aussi de chacune des chambres (chacune personnalisée, décorée avec goût et équipé de salle d'eau et wc !). L'immense piscine nous as permis de profiter à deux familles d'instants privilégiés avec nos enfants. Pour ne rien gâcher la situation de la maison en plein Périgord noir nous apportait tranquillité et sérénité du petit déjeuner à tard le soir. Enfin la région est magnifique et le grand nombre de sites et villages à visiter aux environs font qu'un séjour d'une semaine est presque trop court ! Merci encore pour votre accueil !
