The property was perfect for me - I needed a comfortable place for my stay in Honesdale and this house was just right. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable and had absolutely everything I needed.
Comfortable and clean. It's up on a hill from town, easy drive or walk downhill if you're feeling adventurous enough to walk back up. Bring plenty of quarters for metered parking in town. Would stay again.
Everything was nice. One thing, we had an issue and texted the owners. Instead of texting back, they sent a message through the website. So i didn't get a answer until we got home. Simple misunderstanding.
When we got there the house was ice cold and there was no access to the thermostat. I had to contact the manager and they said they had just turned it on for us and it was set to 69 degrees. We were cold the entire time. Also, someone else’s hairs on the bed.

I stayed there 1 time with my husband and I planned to go back on my own. The property was ok, very musty and all the floors are tilted, but just ok. I was to go back this past weekend; however, the Thursday before my return, I took a really bad fall
, found out on Friday I broke my hip and needed an emergency hip replacement. They wouldn't refund my money. Only offered a credit. As I see it, peek foliage in Honsedale, it would've rented out quickly to mitigate the costs. I have no reason to return there and I'm stuck with an unsable credit. I couldn't in good conscience recommend this property to someone and have the same thing happen. Disgraceful!!! Renters conceited! Rent at your own risk. Oh, and if you run out of toilet paper or anything else they tell you to go to the store to replace it, that's what they did to us.
We had a very nice time in Honesdale. A very small mountain town but such friendly people! We had dinners at a local and at a local Irish pub. We took the train along the Lackawanna River to a site where we listened to bluegrass music. The brother/ sister duo were really very good. It was a very enjoyable time.
Clean, comfortable, and cozy. Helpful notes left around answered any questions we may have had. Convenient to everything yet nice and quiet. Both the cottage and the hosts, Susan & Tom, exceeded our expectations!!
Cottage was very clean, inside was newly renovated, and as listed. Near town but drive due to the hill. Note the condition in the listing for parking, we had no problem with a van.
Would rent again
The cottage has a lot of charm. The porch in the evening is a great place to watch the fireflies!

Be more accurate about property limitations
Clean good appliances tasteful needs WiFi and stairs to back yard not a ramp neither of us could climb. Better furniture for front porch. Clean tasteful traffic on road noisy as house is two feet from road liked the lights in the backyard comfortable beds
We loved this little cottage, very clean and had everything qe needed. Walked into town for dinner and enjoyed the area so much! We were here for a m7sic festival only 15 minutes away.
The property is a bargain and has everything you need. While it may not be that exciting looking on the outside it is very comfy inside and well equipped. There is only parking for one vehicle and it can not be a high van or pick up as the carport ceiling has limited height and there is no off street parking along a pretty fast road in front. Our crew cab pickup would not fit. We got lucky and met the owner across the street who was very nice and let us park behind her house. She turned a bad situation into a good one. Honesdale is a very interesting town and very friendly.
This was the perfect weekend getaway spot for my boyfriend and I! The cottage was cute, cozy and immaculate! Would definitely stay again!

It was ok
The stay was ok. It was in a neighborhood and not much of a yard. Ceilings are low, hit head several times. Really old house, some upgrades. If taller 5' 8" might not want to stay there. Would have been nice to have antenna for TV. Nice it was pet friendly but not really a yard and right along road. Owners got back in plenty of time when messaged.
