We love staying at this property because it is off the beaten path, quiet and private. We have family in the area and is a great place to gather together.
Totally enjoyed our stay here! We are a group of up to 7 women that plan a yearly weekend getaway. We found the property as advertised and had a relaxing weekend in the quiet country. Our only comment would be that we would love the 10:00 A.M. checkout to be 11:00 A.M. instead. We’re definitely thinking we might need to make a return trip!
The property is beautiful and we had an amazing time and we hope to book again next year. The log cabin is stunning and they had a Christmas tree and wreath which were beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. We enjoyed the basement and played games. It was so relaxing and wonderful and there were even horses next-door. The property is beautiful inside and out. We really hope we can stay again next year. Thank you.
We had a group of eight. Grandparents (two, ages 65-70), 3 adults children ages 40 - 49; and the grandkids, 3 aged 9 - 13.
This is a charming home in a true log cabin style but nothing drafty or slipshod. This is a solid place. A nice big living room for visiting, well-equipped kitchen for cooking, and a table and chairs that sits six, but we brought in a couple chairs from the deck and comfortably sat eight.
There is a nice gas grill that we utilized with great grilling utensils in the drawers in the laundry room. The laundry room was right around the corner from the kitchen and had tons of counter space which we utilized.
We had movie nights in the basement as that is where the largest TV was and it had plenty of seating for us all. We brought our own Apple TV box that was already logged in to the streaming services we subscribe to so did not try out the TV services available. I will add that the internet has good speed and was very reliable which was very important to our tribe.
The location worked out well. Checking in at 4:00 p.m., we didn’t want to cook so ordered and picked up a pizza from B.C. Pizza which was quite good (but had a one-hour wait on a Saturday night so plan ahead). There are a couple of nearby Family Fare Supermarkets which seem to have everything you need in terms of groceries.
We rent a place like this for this group every year and this was one of our better experiences.
Overall, this is a very cute log cabin style house with a basement. The basement is a great additional space with an air hockey table, ping pong table and bedroom. The main living floor has a large family room, kitchen, dining room combo, and a decent size utility room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a small sitting area. The upstairs was hot, even with the fans. The temp range outside was 74-82. The main floor was cool and the basement very cool.
There is a fire pit. Although the ad says a creek runs at the back of the property, it is not accessible. There is a very cute and relaxing front porch. My main issues where that the hot tub was dirty, there was no skimmer to clean the leaves out of the hot tub, the towels and kitchen stuff were old and everything was mismatched, only 9 towels, forks, spoons, things like that which were problematic with 9 staying at the house. It seemed like left overs to me. The dishwasher rollers were broken, and only worked on auto, which ran for hours, the washer didn’t work (although they replaced it two days later), many light bulbs were burnt out, many outlets didn’t work. I have rented many house in Michigan for a lot less money that had everything pristine and up to date. This was a cool house it just needs some TLC and someone to go in and redo the household stuff.
It was a perfect property to spend Christmas, the Christmas tree lights greeted us as we entered and after a long day driving was a welcomed sight. Snow started to fall that night along with blizzard conditions lasting over 2 days. This was the best possible place to ride out the storm. We were able to have family over on Christmas Day!
This is our second year and a row visiting this home. The cabin is just so beautiful! The way the home sits you feel tucked away in the woods and there is no road noise. I must say sitting in the hot tub drinking my coffee over looking the snow covered trees was may favorite part. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone!
This home is incredible. Super clean, way bigger in person than we thought! Our experience was amazing and we will definitely think about staying here again in the future!
The cabin was lovely. Very spacious and very clean. The hot tub was so enjoyable! Love that we could bring our small dog along. And the proximity to Charlevoix and Petosky was so mice. I would highly recommend the property and hope to be back soon.
We used the cabin to get ready for my wedding! It was beautiful with all of the fall colors. Unfortunately we were not able to use the fire pit or hot tub because of the rain- BUT I’m sure it would have been enjoyable too. We plan on coming back at least once a year. Too good to miss!
If you are looking for a place outside of town and in a country like setting, this is a great choice. Mornings on the porch, the campfire and the large kitchen were among my favorite. The property managers were responsive. Overall great experience and best family vacation in years.
We stayed at the cabin with the 3 of us and our best friends from France (4). There was plenty of room for everyone. Location is beautiful and quiet with easy access to all the beach towns, beaches, Mackinaw Island … we had a great time hanging out at the house in the evenings, cooking out, making fires for s’mores, playing board games. I highly recommend this place.
Our family enjoyed staying at this property. In the morning we would sit out on the front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet and the farm animals waking up at the near by farm.
Location of grocery stores and restaurants were just a few minutes away.
Was a great stay. The e-signing while booking was a pain, as I never had to do this for other bookings, but was worth the time. It also had no bar stools or extra chairs to play games at the table but other than that it was amazing.
This is the second time we’ve visited this property, and yet again, it didn’t disappoint! Even though the weather was nasty outside, we had a wonderful time just staying in and using the amenities that this cabin offers. We will be booking again for next year!
