Three generations of family— seven of us ages 11 to 77— enjoyed our stay for a variety of reasons. We've gathered in summer vacation rentals for between 15 and 20 years now. We were away from the madding crowd, but close enough so it didn't require a trek for groceries or ice cream at the Mosquito. The property itself is wonderful— a great place to relax (or work remotely) and for each of us to find his or her or her own private space. The beautiful clean water was great for swimming— maybe the best of any of our rentals. You have to be a swimmer. It is over your head from virtually the shore outward.
It was the most amazing stay I’ve ever had on Sebago Lake! The property was absolutely beautiful. All beds were very comfortable. There was enough room for everybody to spread out. We love that you could jump off the dock into the deep water. Also loved it that I could bring my pontoon boat over and put it on their mooring, I hope to rent it next summer.
We had a wonderful week here. The house is bright, large, well laid out and open and fully stocked with all we needed and very clean. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and dinner on the screen porch. We appreciated the floaties and other fun water toys as we swam off the dock. We rented a boat (Goodhue) and every day explored Sebago Lake. We hope to visit again!
The house is fantastic with a nice living room, fire place and views of the lake. The kitchen sets up really well along with the dining area. The screened in porch was perfect for coffee in the morning or a drink at night. The dock was fun for all ages - 8 year old to 80 year old. The water at the lake is the best. I would love to come back to this house again.
The location on Sebago Lake with its own dock was perfect for exploring all around the lake by boat, and visiting Frye Island. The house is thoughtfully layed out to comfortably accommodate our two families, and stocked with everything we needed. Communication was very easy with immediate answers to our questions. We had a wonderful time!!
Everything was exactly what I expected from a lakeside home but better. The house is incredible, solidly built with everything needed to enjoy a vacation.
The property is accurately described. No oversell here. Great location, plenty of room for socializing and relaxing. Second frig in garage a nice amenity. Queries handled in a timely manner. No issues
This was our second stay at this property and both times we have had a wonderful experience. There were 4 adults and 4 teens for the week and there was plenty of space for us all to spread out. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need and we grilled almost every night and ate on the deck or the screened in porch. The second fridge in the garage was great to have. The dock and lake are fantastic and while we didn't have a boat, we swam, kayaked, paddle boarded and floated every day. The views from the house, deck and dock are beautiful. Easy access to the ferry and Frye Island which we visited twice. Thank you to Elizabeth and Sydnee who were both very responsive and helpful whenever we had any questions. Amazing home and location and we hope to be back again soon!
Wonderful place to stay, this was our second year. Did not disappoint! Perfect for the family who wants to spend lots of time outdoors, with a kitchen that has plenty of space for cooking big meals!
Wonderful vacation property. Variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to all be together or relax alone with a book. House was very clean and well appointed. View of lake from living room and screen porch was beautiful.
The home is gorgeous and the sunsets are amazing! The lake is larger than we expected but the water was clear and refreshing - We swam, fished and kayaked and even rented a pontoon boat for a day! It was a wonderful vacation for two families and teen/adult kids.
We had a party of 8 family members who stayed over the 4th of July, 2021. Although there was some rain during the week, we got to use our boat which was on the mooring out front, set up our massive float off of their dock, swim, fire up the fire pit and otherwise enjoy all the fun things about this lake front home. The canoe got a work out as well.
Inside this home is magnificent. Bright and sunny with a lot of windows and great views. The four bedrooms were comfortable and having three bathrooms was a real plus. The large open kitchen accommodated our efforts in making some fantastic meals and everything we needed was at hand.. There was even a second refrigerator in the garage! The screened porch was a great place to congregate and there was a large deck in the front, facing the sun much of the day. We had people that needed to work off and on - remotely - and there was plenty of space to find some privacy to do so as well as conference calls. There is a bonus room on the ground floor which became a make shift office. So it all worked well.
We grilled a lot but we did go out to dinner one night...a quick trip across the cut by boat to the Frye's Leap Store which has good food and outdoor seating. It was Trivia night.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at this home and look forward to returning. The communication with the owner was terrific. Elizabeth was responsive in every way. If you are looking at this home to rent - go for it! You will love it.
Delightful house right on the lake. 3 kayaks and a canoe available. Great swimming, walking, boating. House is very well equipped and spacious and comfortable. Room air conditioners that were a lifesaver (we hit a heat wave). Owners extremely responsive. All good!
My husband and I, along with our two early adult children and my parents stayed here for the week! The size of the house was perfect for us! The house was clean, well stocked and had wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces! We would definitely look to rent this property again!
We stayed for a month from mid-Sept to mid-Oct. We saw our school district was about to go 100% virtual and figured since we would all be working/schooling virtually, we could be anywhere. This home is perfect. It is large without being formal or stuffy. It is well-equipped and comfortably furnished. The owners are so friendly that they feel like old friends. The setting is gorgeous. It feels like you are in the woods but you are only 15 min from stores/restaurants. The lake was still warm enough to swim and kayak into October. My favorite memories are kayaking over to the restaurant on Frye Island for dinner, getting takeout lobster to eat on the deck overlooking the lake, and constellation hunting at the fire pit. It was a magical month and I miss that screened in porch!
We spent 5 days/nights at the property in mid-August. Our group included 2 adults, 2 teens and 2 tweens. We rented a boat from Long Beach Marina and had a great time! The home is very flexible - spots to relax in the sun, in the shade, in the screened in porch, by the water. The weather was quite warm during our stay and we were grateful for air conditioning while we slept. The kitchen is stocked and we took advantage of both gas and charcoal grills. We used the kayaks/canoe often and swam off the dock all day. Most of the group jumped off Frye’s Leap right nearby too! The channel is busy Sat/Sun (as the owners clearly communicated) but the rest of the week was quiet. The home owner Elizabeth was wonderful throughout the process, much appreciated!
The property and house were amazing! Location was perfect! The house is very well equipped for families staying and planning to cook most meals! Very clean and comfortable home! Would stay here again!
Awsome property! My family and I really enjoyed the beautiful view, the spacious deck, the dock, and swimming in the crystal clear lake. House was exceptionally clean and well laid out. Hoping to come back next year.
This house was outstanding, and exactly as advertised. On the lake, deep water dock for diving, boats to paddle in, and a gorgeous house, well appointed with excellent wi-fi, great TV, all you could want in a kitchen and terrific owners.
We had a wonderful stay on Sebago Lake. The house is well appointed, the lake is gorgeous and so relaxing to watch the sunset - the location and access to the lake is fantastic! The owners are kind and attentive. We enjoyed jet skis, a pontoon boat ride, bike rides, walks and wonderful seafood in the area. Can’t wait to spend more time in this area! Thanks for having us!
Maine is beautiful, Lake Sebago is beautiful and the property perfect for us (9 adults). It was a wonderful family vacation with sun, water, seafood, boat trips, kayaks and a nice outdoor fireplace. not to mention nice jaunts into Portland and Freeport.

Why they chose this property
This property has been in the family for generations and the original camp was replaced in 2001 with the current house. Sebago Lake is beautiful and clean, and there is so much to do. There is amazing swimming, boating, rock jumping, and exploring.
