My family and I come here every year. The property is magical and very well maintained. Our time here is always full of fun, peace, love and joy. It is difficult to leave. We are looking so forward to next years visit.
Love this spacious property! Has everything you need for group getaways. The private dock is awesome and is one of the many reasons we love staying here.
These two little cabins were a great getaway spot for my birthday weekend! We found everything on the property was precisely as described, but the highlights for us were really the dock and the firepit. We rented a boat from Knotty Pines resort and were able to pull the boat directly to the dock and pick up all the kids/family/friends that we had, so it was much easier than dragging everyone down to the marina to pick up the boat.
The kids also really enjoyed the firepit and we were able to make smores every night and tell campfire stories.
I was a little concerned that it would be too hot in the cabins since it was the middle of summer and there is no a/c, but there are ceiling fans in some of the rooms which help to keep it cool (and the owners advised us to bring our own fans), so it cooled off enough at night that everyone slept quite comfortably.
Overall, the location was quite ideal for us and everyone enjoyed swimming off the dock and playing in the water as the lake was a nice cool 68-70 degrees.
We will definitely stay again if given the chance!
These cabins are wonderful. Keep in mind they are Cabins in the middle of the woods, but they were just what we wanted. It's a short little walk down an easy-to-manage hill, and you are on the doc on the lake! It is very close to the inlet of the Hamilton Branch, where there is some great fishing!
Lots of room for our whole family to be able to spread out play games and enjoy the lake. It was wonderful.
This property was exactly what was promised, we loved the remote feel while only 10min from small town. Kids loved playing in the wide open area and roasting marshmallows by the fire. Great family location, we will be back!
It was so fun. Close to the lake which was perfect for our family and friends, there was a skunk but wasn’t bad, it is a camping environment but over all great experience and host/ owner was amazing with communication
Nice property with two small cabins. Perfect for family gatherings. Plenty of space and large private dock. Lots of open, flat space for games outside. Location is tucked into a quiet cove. Owner is easy to communicate with. Loved it!
Perfect spot on the lake. The dock was was perfect for our boat and playing in the water from. We boated, paddle board, fish and had camp fires. Property beautiful in the trees . Great communications with Pamela the property manager. We are excited to come again next summer!
Our family loves the outdoors, camping and “roughing it” but we just welcomed a baby 2 months ago so this stay was perfect for us to enjoy the outdoors with the luxuries of home. We rented a boat and spent another full day on the private dock. The property was beautifully landscaped and the path to the lake was well manicured which made for easy access for our youngest (2 months old) and our oldest (67 years years young) campers. We will be back again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
High expectations at checkout.
The stay was fine and the property was as described. Be sure to bring your cleaning supplies because you will need them. The place is old and gross, and you are expected to make it shine upon exit. Additional $400 cleaning charge! Beware.
The place was perfect for what we were looking for. It has a nice secluded entrance which made the place feel very private. Then once you actually get there you'll notice there are no other buildings around other than theirs. Loved that. The place has a nice view, better than the pictures. Recommend bringing your own camping chairs to lounge on which we did overlooking the lake. The walk down to the docks was little bit of work but nothing crazy. The cabins were well stocked. There is no wifi which is nice but we had a strong internet connection. Firepit was a plus. Perfect for hanging out at night time. The gnats gets crazy there so we didnt go out at night until 2 hours after dark. That's just how Lake Almanor is.
Overall we had an amazing time. Was better than anticipated.
We had a fabulous week on the lake. Loved having dock access.
We stayed for a week and it was perfect. We loved hanging down at the dock during the day and the fire pit at night. Cabin 1 was the main hangout for dinners and games on the deck. Already booked it for next year. Thank you!
We’ve been going camping with friends and extended family every year for a few years now. This year we thought we would try something a little more relaxing and found these cabins… it was well worth it! From the comfortable beds to well equipped kitchen, games, DVDd, heater I was thrilled. Outside there is ample room and many activities for kids to stay busy. We loved the dock for tying up our kayaks, cannon balls and swimming. There is a comfortably sloped, wide path down to the dock. Instructions were very clear and communication with Pam was easy. We will definitely be back!
We had another magical time together here. With the beauty and magic of the environment, its impossible not too. Our time was filled with adventures, laughter, swimming, bon fires, bbqing and peace. Can't wait for next year.
The property was beautiful. I was surprised by how many kitchen items were available for use. The dual cabins was perfect for giving the older teenagers a place to hang out and watch movies or play games. Only down sides were the low water level and smoke from the Dixie fire. Would definitely recommend and will book again!
The water was low this year so we had a bit of a hard time getting to the water.(of course thats not the owners fault!)
There were a few small issues with the cleanliness but I'm sure they will be addressed when I let her know.
It's a beautiful place to stay on the lake! They have a new dock and storage box that is so nice!
Looking forward to next year 🙂
We loved our stay at this property! Such a beautiful place to spend quality time with our family. We loved spending time on the dock and around the campfire. There was so much space for our dog to run around and kids to play catch and the teacher all was a hit. The view of lake was spectacular. I’d love to come back again.
The time at this property was magical. My family and I hope to return yearly. The cabins were cozy and sweet, the weather was beautiful, the lake was stunning and perfect for fishing and swimming and the bon fires at night were full of laughter. Its a magical place to share time together.
Beautiful lake and a great time to visit. Accommodations were accurately described in marketing material. Would have loved to enjoy their fire pit area, but due to fire danger we were not able to use. Enjoyed fishing at Hamilton Branch and visiting the local restaurants/taproom on the Pennisula.
