The Little Brown House was exactly what we needed. We came up to pick up our son from Michigan Tech. I was very appreciative of the recliners because I have a medical condition in my lower back that causes pain when I have to sit up straight. Having a recliner allows me to be comfortable. The property was very well maintained and clean. My only complaint, and I realize it is just me, is the bed was way to firm for me, just a persal preference. Also, having Slim's cafe across the street was a pleasant bonus.
We planned to ski at the Swedetown Nordic Center and attend a Dance Performance at the Michigan Tech University. Lodging in the area was spares as there was also a major University Hockey event. The Mohawk location was convenient to skiing and not that far from the University. Slims restaurant across the street was great for Breakfast! The only negative was a slight odor in the house.
The Little Brown house was a modest place with a great location for us as I wasn’t sure just how we would spend our Keweenaw time since it split the difference between Houghton area and Copper Harbor. The house was clean and comfortable (including the bed) and everything we tried worked. The kitchen is very tiny and the kitchen supplies are on the tired side so we opted not to try to cook at all. The upside is we had the best meal out of our entire trip across the UP at the restaurant next store. Didn’t eat at restaurant across the street but it was packed both mornings we were there so likely a good place for breakfast. Hwy 41 was fairly busy until 11 pm or so but got quiet after that. The AC was a window unit in the living room, if needed it is, like all window units, noisy. Happily we mostly didn’t need it. Lovely expanse of yard at back of the house, adding a deck would be a wonderful addition.

Great scenery and spectacular views of LakeSuperior and Brockway mountion. Had a reclining chair which I need for sleeping. Bar and breakfast restaurant within walking distance.
We were actually bumped up to the Trail House, a welcome surprise as I’d just had a procedure the day before and was having some pain and mobility issues. Was provided with check-in details days before arrival. The cottage was gorgeous, spotless, beds and furniture were comfortable. Dependable WI-FI. Centrally located on the peninsula. Brochures were provided and were helpful in planning for food and gas and some attractions we wanted to see this time. We would rent this again and again!
This little brown house was perfect for my husband and I to get away and enjoy the beauty of the upper peninsula. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. It had everything you’d need. There’s so much to do within 30 minutes both directions. I highly recommend the Brockway Mountain drive in Eagle Harbor/Copper Harbor, Jam Pot, and all the beautiful waterfalls. The owners of the house are awesome at communicating too. Wonderful time we plan to return in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything a person needs to make this house a great place to stay during their Keweenaw experience was in place. It was clean, comfortable, affordable & convenient. Plenty of towels, a nicely stocked kitchen, and quiet made this a very pleasant stay.
This property was just what we needed to explore the Keweenaw. The LBH is conveniently between two restaurants. Communication with the host was easy. The ceiling fan in the bedroom made our stay comfortable.
We had a real good time on the Keweenaw Peninsula . The Little brown house in Mohawk was perfect. It was centrally located to everything we did. It was clean and great for us. I would recommend the place.
