The Space
This home has all the fine furniture and amenities you could want in a vacation home. Features include southern exposure at the front of the house with a nice deck to enjoy the sun coming up over the mountains. Enjoy some quiet morning time with a fresh cup of coffee. Lots of windows to take in the sun. Finishes include reclaimed redwood floors, slab quartzite kitchen counter tops with stainless appliances and sink. All baths have slab travertine counter tops and deco tiles, custom oil rubbed fixtures, 8' alder doors and trim, 9' vaulted ceilings with massive alder beams, fireplace extraordinaire with granite hearth. All new mountain cabin décor furnishings with a "bear" motif, for a truly Tahoe vacation feel. The perfect home for a relaxing vacation retreat.
The large second story deck overlooks a large open area and has chairs and a nice picnic table to enjoy a family meal and the relaxing afternoon sun. A gas BBQ is available to grill to your heart's content. The kitchen has all the appliances and amenities to cook up a storm for family and friends.
Guest Access
Your vacation here will give you a very private feeling with lots of open space in the backyard. Horseshoes, Ping Pong and Foosball are activities available on-site. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up great meals for family and friends, but the house is just up a mile up from all the great restaurants in the Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista area if eating out is more inline with your idea of a vacation. Centrally located to all skiing, hiking, biking and just 1-2 miles away from 5 local public beaches. Two streets down from the house is a beautiful meandering 1 mile walk/bike trail through the woods to the North Tahoe Regional Park with tennis courts, picnic areas and even zip line adventures.

For Short Term Rentals of less than 31 days, Placer County requires us to collect a 10% tax (TOT) on all taxable stays. On 7/1/2021 Placer County created the NORTH LAKE TAHOE TOURISM BUSSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (NLT/TBID) and requires all Short Term Rentals to assess an additional 2% of the rental total. These taxes and assessments will be reflected on your quote as "TAX". This total is collected and sent to Placer County as required by their TOT ordinances.
Note: Hello, please be aware that we will require the guest to provide a Photo ID. VRBO does not provide your ID information to Hosts, so this is the only way we as the Hosts can confirm you are who you say you are. The information is destroyed one week after the guest stay is over. Please keep in mind we are providing full, unsupervised access to an expensive home we dearly love to someone we don't know.
